...Lucy Daniels is an amazing author who wrote the childrens collection of books called Animal Ark - a series about Mandy Hope, daughter of vets, and her love for animals. One of the books in the series is Pony in the Porch. Cover: A cover is the first thing you see with a book so it is important that it draws you in. Personally, I feel that this one does do just that. There is a gorgeous picture of a horse on the front, standing in what looks like a stable doorway. It is a very bright and sunny picture, very attractive and certainly drew me in. Plot: Mandy falls in love with a horse, and when she finds out that it is in danger by its snotty owner, the decides she must try and help the horse. But can she save him before its too late? I think this is quite a nice little plot. It is full of adventure and action, but is not too busy either...

You can buy them used on Amazon at anything from 0.01p upwards with £2.75 shipping fee though even with the postage cost, that overall price is quite good for this book. We were lucky and went one better and found this book for only 0.50p so both my daughter and I were very pleased. Once upon a time they really would have been "MY" Little Ponies.

Advantages: Well made toys. Nostalgic qualities.

Although its a new DVD they graphics are based very much on the old fashioned 1980's style ponies and the songs are very oldy worldy too. However as a manic my little pony fan I had to buy them all.
