Prince Of Persia - From Beyond Pixelation
Review of Prince of Persia - Prince 2 (PC) by  Jak2039

Advantages: Control Over Time, Acrobatic Fights, Interesting Storyline, Good Graphics
Disadvantages: Short Game Length, Only One Boss Fight, Easy

...History Prince of Persia is a series spanning over many years. With the first game created by Jordan Mechner. It was a 2D platform game that consisted of jumping up, hanging down and jumping over spikes, through deadly metal teeth and some fights with pretty naff looking swords. It had a sequel, which, by today's standards, doesn't look much better. Some people say the difference is, the Prince has prince-like clothes. Proceeding on... Prince of Persia 3D. As you might suspect, it's 3D and it's comprised of the Prince fighting more people with his persian sword and some annoying camera angles. Then came Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time. Created by Ubisoft with the Prince still in the main spotlight, Sands of Time introduced a new storyline and many many new features. Story The Prince is the young son of the Persian... Read review

Prince Of Persia back with a bang
Review of Prince Of Persia 3: The Two Thrones (PS2) by  Damienkarl123

Advantages: Great Graphics as usual the combat is the same
Disadvantages: the graphics are beginning to show their age

...So it comes to an end another amazing Playstation 2 trilogy, Prince of Persia. How this trilogy has come to ensure absolute amazement in each and every way. When the 1st Prince Of Persia (Sands Of Time) was released, gamers ate up the platforming-based puzzles, but had a hard time with the combat. In the second game, Warrior Within, the combat was beefed up, the Prince had way more moves and a darker outlook. But now, there was TOO much fighting, not enough platforming. Some said that the Prince's new outlook just wasn't as cool as it had been in the first game. And so, Ubisoft Montreal took all of this to heart, and they've come up with The Two Thrones, the shining jewel of the series. The combat and platforming have been refined to such an awesome level of perfection that the thrills just don't stop coming. This is without a doubt... Read review

Good Gameplay for the Prince.
Review of Prince of Persia: Rival Swords (Wii) by  daftks

Advantages: good gameplay, relevant soundtrack, amazing graphics
Disadvantages: minor bugs, same as Gamecube

...First of all, I was never that big a fan when I played the Prince of Persia 1 on DOS. But now, really, hands up for Jordan Mechner the creator, because it has grown on me ever so much in the past couple of weeks. It was almost hard to put it down when I first started playing it! Please do bear in mind, Rival Swords on Wii is EXACTLY the same as The Two Thrones on Gamecube and other consoles. So unless if you really want to get it just to feel the dual-hand combat with the controller and nunchuk, don't bother wasting £34.99 on it! You have been warned. For those that haven't played, not to mention that wii is already rather revolutionary to today's gaming, Prince of Persia's final instalment adds the cherry on top of all the wii goodness. As the story goes... -------------------------- The Prince is on his way home with Princess... Read review

Prince official After Party
Review of Prince Aftershow Party by  purpleshelley1974

Advantages: Seeing Prince in an intimate setting ,anything could happen, DJ selected by Prince
Disadvantages: Prince might not play

...A living legend…and I don’t even need to say his name but his ‘name is Prince and he is funky.’ Prince has cast his spell over O2 and sprinkled his magic over the former white elephant. It is his kingdom for 21 days. Not only is he performing at the concert arena but there is also the added bonus of the official Prince after party. My partner and I have been hardened Prince fans forever and a day; our one wish is to see Prince in a smaller more intimate venue. Every time he plays in the UK he usually plays an impromptu performance at a random bar or small venue and as per-usual I always hear about it after the event. Well not this time, Prince has also reserved the smaller concert venue /club Indigo (which has a capacity of about 2,300) during the twenty one days he is playing at O2. In true majestic style the Indigo stage is set up... Read review

The Prince Is Back!
Review of Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time (PS2) by  angeelu

Advantages: Hours of gameplay, excellent graphics and sound, unlockable original game
Disadvantages: Very few, although to start with you may find the visions give too much away...

...Many people remember playing the classic PC game 'The Prince of Persia' - the graphics seemed amazing at the time, and the adventure could keep you glued to your PC for hours, slashing your way through enemies, and avoiding traps such as spikes. In a way, not much has changed with the latest installment in the prince's adventures, but then again, there's so much that has changed and that has improved it's difficult to know where to start! The story behind this game revolves around a legend - in war-torn medieval persia a young prince discovers a magic dagger - drawn to the dagger's powers, he manages to unleash a deadly evil upon his father's kingdom. Now the prince has to reclaim the palace and restore peace to the land. It's not quite as easy as you'd think... the sands of time have a large part to play. The sands of time... Read review

My Prince!
Review of Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time (PS2) by  tekin21

Advantages: Every level provides a new adventure, great graphics.
Disadvantages: Adictive, You will get hooked

...When we purchased our Playstation it was not to get access to one of the biggest spectrums of games on the market but more to replace our broken down DVD player, we thought we may also enjoy the odd gaming evening. The game Prince of Persia – Sands of Time was actually one of the games that came free with the pack. History The original Prince of Persia was created by Jordan Merchner in 1989 and sold more than 2 million copies, it was followed by Prince of Persia 3D which was a complete flop. Eventually in 2001 UbiSoft (The owners of the Prince of Persia name) convinced Merchner to take another shot at developing a sequel – in September 2001, design work on the new game began. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was named The Best Action/Adventure Game of the Year at the E3 Game Critics Awards in 2002 when it was pre-view in its... Read review

The Nutcracker Prince: An All Time Treasure
Review of The Nutcracker Prince (Animated) by  Mrs.Nadine

Advantages: Enchanting classical music and overwhelming themes
Disadvantages: none.

...of the Nutcracker animated clip that I have cherished in my heart and kept in my mind for so long. How it went: I went home and with an overwhelming enthusiasm, I put the film in the VCR and to my astonishment saw a completely different set of characters... WOW this is not just an animated 10 minutes clip this is a whole movie, with a setting, plot, climax, etc. It was an amazing moment. I can still feel it that I could even remember the smell of chicken and chips my mum was cooking in the kitchen. Yes indeed, the course of the rest my childhood had changed the moment I saw the movie: The Nutcracker Prince. THE NUTCRACKER PRINCE: = In the following paragraphs I shall be describing all aspects of this movie. I will be focusing on the setting, the characters, the plot, the climax, the theme, the mood... Almost by accident; a history of Princes St
Review of Princes Street by  dobieg

Advantages: Handy for busses
Disadvantages: with the exception of Jenners, nothing special

...Princes street became the main shopping centre for Edinburgh almost by accident. The architect James Craig won a competition in 1766 to lay out the plan for a 'new town' to be developed to the north of the overcrowded and unsanitary city (now known as the 'Old Town'). In it, he sought to lay out in physical form the embodiment of the British constitution - a central avenue running east/west, named 'George Street' after the King, which ran the length of the development. At each end, he placed a square - the eastern square was named after the Scottish Patron Saint, St Andrew, the other was due to be named after St George, but by that time, Edinburgh already had a George Square, so it was renamed 'Charlotte Square' after the queen. To the north of George Street, ran the parallel 'Queen Street' - with gardens on one side... Read review

Hes a posh prince from persias past!
Review of Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time (PS2) by  helpa4eva

Advantages: great graphics, brilliant style of gameplay.
Disadvantages: after a while the fight sequences get repetetive

...Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Well, i had not heard much about the release of this game in gaming magazines, but i saw even less of advertisement in the media (television adverts, papers etc.) So i was quite honestly shocked to see a revamp of the famous Prince of Persia game to suddenly appear on the shelves. As this was a child of UBISOFT i know it promised to be a great, clever child, instead of the previous, clumsy, dumb child known as "Prince of Persia 3D" *shudder*. 1. JUDGING A GAME BY ITS COVER. The case was one that stood out quite well, as it had bright gold sand swirling around the bottom of the case, with "PRINCE OF PERSIA" written just above it in regal blue, with a bright yellow glow around it. Above that was a picture of what was obviously the prince, running along a wall. I noticed that the certificate... Read review
