Thirty years and more after that dense fog on the Tyne, Lindisfarne release their umpteenth album-- Promenade--as if that passage of time meant nothing. The Rod Clements-Nigel Stonier songwriting partnership remains in fine fettle--the other band members are no slouches either when it comes to words and music--while Billy Mitchell's harmonica still sends shivers down a sensitive spine. True, the vocals are a little less youthful, the music a little less playful, but this is a band that rocks and reels along its promenade with a confidence and maturity few youngsters will match. Poignant songs lamenting lost youth--"Unfinished Business"--and commiserating with old age--"Happy Birthday Dad"--sit alongside instant folk-rock classics such as "Walkin' Back To Blueberry Hill", a heartfelt tribute to Fats Domino and the socially astute "Significant Other": any song which starts with "I was standing on the corner, I was waiting for a ride, I saw Tom Cruise coming with a lady by his side" has got to be good. Promenade is possibly the best Divine Comedy album.
Advantages: Some of the greatest songwriting, ever.
Disadvantages: I struggle to think of any.
...Promenade is "The" Divine Comedy album. A fan favourite, it's probably the most loved of Neil's albums. The Divine Comedy albums usually have a theme pulling the songs together but in this case it is more of a concept album, following the exploits of a young couple in love. There is also a recurring theme of water throughout Promenade, which fits in nicely with the dark blue hue on the album...

Advantages: excellent graphics, lovely songs and lovable pony characters
Disadvantages: no extras
...no inserts that come with this and the case itself is quite flimsy.
Storyline:
The Princess promenade vol 2 DVD is a full length feature film as a follow up to the main my little pony THE Movie. In this film the ponies are all excited as its spring and everyone is doing thier best efforts to prepare for the spring parade. But with everyone rushing to prepare themselves they forget...
