A Quest in Fantasy
Review of Hero Quest by  Timski

Advantages: Fun for all fans of the genre
Disadvantages: best with 4 or 5 players

...I have been into fantasy & Dungeons and Dragons since I can remember. Always read the books, watched the films and played the computer games of that genre. When I saw the board game "Hero Quest" in my local Toys'R'Us I was like a child with a new toy, rushing all the way home. I read the back of the box and it sounded like the type of game which both intrigued and entertained, but not for too long. Those who have played Dungeons and Dragons Role Playing Games are aware that a game can last for several weeks or even months, however, Hero Quest usually lasts approximately 2 - 3 hours. If you have ever played a computer version of Hero Quest (I had a copy for my Amiga years ago), the board game is very similar in that the four characters are the same, namely a Barbarian, an Elf, a Wizard and a Dwarf. Each of the characters take turns... Read review

my quest is over.
Review of Maclaren Quest Buggy by  anwar

Advantages: very comfortable,light,folds well
Disadvantages: none yet!

...I wanted to buy a second light weight buggy to keep in the boot of my car and to take on holiday.I wanted a buggy which was not only light but would recline ,be easy to fold and include a rain cover/sun shade.I also wanted a buggy with a large seat to enable my toddler to sleep in comfort. I spent some time looking on the internet(as you do)at the various models available and comparing prices.I have always liked Maclaren buggys and was interested in both the quest and the more expensive techno. The techno is a lot more expensive than the quest(about £50)and is suitable from birth as it reclines further than the quest, but as my baby is 18 months old this was a feature I didn't need.I did look at other makes such as the mothercare jive at £30,butI felt the seat unit was quite small with a low back. Before making a final decision I... EverQuest or NeverQuest
Review of 989 Studios - EverQuest by  MindYerBeak

Advantages: Georgeous graphics, addictive gameplay.
Disadvantages: Roleplaying virtually non-existent. Quests difficult or impossible. The need to group.

...EverQuest, or NeverQuest as it is affectionately known to its players is the first online game I ever played. On entering the game for the first time I was awestruck by the realistic graphical detail and within an hour or so of playing, became totally addicted, and was to remain so for several months. At first the game was a joy. I started as a Paladin and slowly levelled up the ranks. Upon reaching level 15, however, I was soon to become demoralised by this game. As you level up, the area you are playing in ceases to become productive in terms of experience points and you are forced to move on. The problem with this is that when you die, you are forced to retieve your corpse and retrieve all your belongings. Failure to do so will result in losing EVERYTHING you have on your corpse at the time. The higher you progress, the further... Read review

My quest for laughter has ended
Review of Galaxy Quest (Wide Screen) by  Lizzii

Advantages: Supremely funny
Disadvantages: An extra 20 minutes wouldn't have gone a miss!

...When this movie was first released in 1999, I honestly thought to myself after seeing the trailer that it looked like a load of rubbish. Would it be yet another spoof movie, that although seemingly having a great cast, would amount to very little and be short on laughter. Strike one against Lizzii for being as wrong as a wrong person could have been! THE CAST AND CHARACTERS: Tim Allen plays Jason Nesmith, the egotistical actor who was shot to fame playing Commander Peter Quincy Taggart, in the TV sci-fi series Galaxy Quest. Fighting the alien bad guys with his trusty crew, Nesmith is the man women faint over and the hero men want to be. The show was cancelled eighteen years previously, and the movie starts with Nesmith and his ‘crew’ at a Galaxy Quest convention, which they appear at in full costume and character. None... GALAXY QUEST CONVENTION UNDERWAY
Review of Galaxy Quest (Wide Screen) by  Wayne10ch

Advantages: Light hearted, amusing look at Star Trek and other sci-fi's
Disadvantages: Made mainly for kids but gained an adult market

...Somewhere in outer space, god knows how far away a civilisation may be watching TV shows that were broadcast years ago from here. It could well be that this far away civilisation looks at programs such as Star Trek and thinks they are real. They might think us able to produce this superior technology. They may well be leaving us alone only because they fear what we are capable of based on the exploits of James T. Kirk. A film that delves into this idea with hilarious results is Galaxy Quest. Galaxy Quest was produced by Mark Johnson on behalf of DreamWorks Pictures. Directed by Dean Parisot who was also responsible for the quirky television comedy show Northern Exposure. I was one of the few that actually like this television series which was seen mainly through the eyes of a doctor tricked into living in Alaska to look after... Read review

Review of Titan Quest (PC) by  MinutesAlone

Advantages: Smooth gameplay,Skill Mastery Tree
Disadvantages: Minor bugs

...Prologue: Iron Lore Entertainment has given a gaming industry a new concrete shape with their popular game 'Titan Quest'. Co-creator of one of the most popular game of all time 'age of empires' has put his splendid ideas on his project.Titan Quest is an RPG game and shares quite well known storyline, stop the beasts, save mankind and lead victory against the tartaric creatures and mythical titans. Set on ancient world of Greece,Egypt and China. It drags you up there through the caves and dense forest of Greece up to the dreary desert of Egypt and then through the massive Great wall of china to the Imperial city of China across the mountain. Quest for Camelot
Review of The Magic Sword Quest For Camelot (Animated) (Wide Screen) by  piggypine

Advantages: Devon, Cornwall, Griffon and Bladebeak
Disadvantages: Innacurate Arthurian references(I dont remember a Ruber in the legends)

...When I purchased this film I had actually never heard of it let alone seen it, I'm a huge fantasy fan and love all things dragon related or medieval. Why did I buy it? well 2 things drew me to the movie firstly there was the 2 headed dragon on the cover, secondly the word "camelot" in the title, you know you're in for a sword swinging, Knight filled adventure when you see the word "camelot" (thats unless it's realated to the lottery, but anyway.....) I had no idea of the plot, would it be musical or straight cartoon, who'd be doing the voices..........I simply took pot luck, bought the film and hoped for the best. Released by Warner in 1998 Quest for Camelot is based on the novel The King's Damosel which was the third novel in a trilogy of fantasy novels written by Vera Chapman. "Vera Chapman is a rather interesting character... Read review

Galaxy Quest More like hysterical Quest
Review of Galaxy Quest (Wide Screen) by  the_ice_box

Advantages: Very funny, good for the whole familt and is extremely good for money
Disadvantages: Takes a while to get going

...When you look at the cover. You think to yourself "Oh no I am not going to spend an hour and a half watching this rubbish." If you think this, then you are completely wrong you wouldn't know how wrong you are This movie starring Tim Allen ('Home Improvements'), Sigorney Weaver and Allan Rickman, is about 5 actors who in the 80’s were all the rage as the crew of a TV series called Galaxy Quest. The only way in which they make money is buy going to tributes and shop openings. One day their lives are changed dramatically when they meet the evil alien Zurg and from then on the movie is a rollercoaster of action and comedy. The affects are well done, good computer animation allow this movie to come alive and give it a superb edge, it is a real difference from the kind of movies that have been set in space (‘Star Trek’...
