...THE WEST MACDONNELL RANGES: These hills are part of the MacDonnell Ranges which run parallel east and west of Alice Springs and were named after the governor of New South Wales at the time, Sir Richard MacDonnell. The lines have their own cleansers, toners, moisturisers, eye creams, masks and essences that are normally used together ( I dont mean use all the products, I mean use the individual products from the same line ). Their cleansers, softeners and moisturisers are further divided into I or II , the former used during the spring and summer and the latter during autumn and winter. This basically means that you can alternate products depending on the circumstances surrounding you at the time. Say for example you were travelling from a humid climate to a drier climate, you could take the cleanser II from the Skincare Range instead of cleanser I because you know your skin will suffer. ...Already a fan of Lancôme products, I just had to try Lancôme?s new LCM range ? no fuss skincare for the younger women amongst us lancomaholics i.e. late teens to mid twenties, using lots of natural active ingredients. This skincare programme consists of 2 stages, 1-cleanse, 2-condition (that is tone and moisturise in tradition terms) Why is it called LCM? Well it isn?t an abbreviation for something really technical and scientific ? quite simply it is the key letters from the brand name ? LanCoMe. On to the products? ...This range has been on the market for more than 25 years apparently, but I've only just come across it this year. I found it in Superdrugs but not all of them do it. At present I am using the Aapri Gel Scrub, Dual Cleansing Pads and Aapri Moisturing Balm. The scrub comes at 3.49 for 125ml, pads 3.49 for 30 and balm 1.99 for 125ml which I think is quite a bargain. The scrub - using a couple of times a week, lasted about 10 weeks, pads a month (one daily) and the moisture balm nearly 3 months, so not bad moneywise. The Gel Scrub is really good, I use it 2-3 times a week as it's too harsh to use daily. It really cleans your skin and you can almost feel the apricot kernals taking away the skin cells.
