...When I found out that I needed to have a root canal treatment I nearly had a heart attack. I hate anything to do with needles and having had no surgery whatsoever, I am absolutely petrified of the thought of undergoing any procedure whether it's major or minor. However the most important reason for not liking the whole root canal idea was that I absolutely hate the dentist! I know for a fact that I'm not alone when I say that I hate the dentist as most people admit to having an extreme phobia of getting in that chair. Maybe it's the thought of not being in control or maybe it's the lovely array of the dentist's torture equipment that practically stares you right in the face once you're in there that does it? Whatever it is, it is enough to put people off going until it is absolutely necessary, until the pain is just too unbearable... Read review

...Ever since I first tried root beer at McDonalds (years ago before there stopped selling it) I have loved it! A very refreshing drink best served ice cold. Definately an aquired taste due to its likeness to "antiseptic" or "mouthwash" as some people will say. The only problem in the UK is the lack of variety that you see in American supermarkets (truth be told, you are lucky if you even see it in UK supermarkets) To my knowledge there are only a few brands available and none of them are as nice as their american counterparts. Advantages: A stunning and shocking must read classic tale.
Disadvantages: Very long, 800-900 pages and contains difficult language at points.

...Hayley's 'Roots' is easily one of the best and most vivid books I have ever read. It is a modern classic and it comes with my 100% recommendation. Roots is a account of the life of Kunta Kente, a young African boy, captured and shipped to the US to work as a slave. The book details the start of his life from his birth in 1750 in a village called Juffire in Gambia in the West of Africa. As a young boy Kunta is captured and subsequently transport across the sea to be sold as a slave. Kunta is shipped to and sold in the State of Virginia, first by a harsh master and thus he runs away four times, with no place to go his is re-caught and eventually sold to a new 'master' who is much softer than the first. Kunta eventually accepts his fate and the book goes on to detail his working life with his new master, his marriage the housemaid... Read review

...I have been with Grass Roots (GRG) for a few months now and work is spasmodic, but it is with all the Mystery Shopping agencies I work for. Allocation of work by email is fine but quickly snapped up, it can be quite frustrating phoning to accept a job because it's all automated and you have to spend several minutes going through the various options and are then told that the job is no longer available! I had no luck getting replies to emails sent to their general email address, but then managed to get the email of a particular person, and have had no problems since. Probably the easiest agency to sign up with, although they do ask for bank details when you register and I had no acknowledgement at all, so I was a bit worried about having revealed bank details.
