...the book (the 'this book belongs to' kind of stickers). This book, Rumble in the Jungle was one of the books she received. The author, Giles Andreae is also known as the wonderfully funner Purple Ronnie. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he also writes children's books, although this is the first one I have seen. Advantages: Two analogue joysticks.
Disadvantages: Rumbling not as good as Playstation.

...feedback games, and you turn off the rumble at will with a button on the controller. The software includes a setup program which assigns buttons to different games profiles. While a good idea, its a bit tedious to use, and anyway it's just as easy to set-up the controller within the games itself, as long as you have the latest drivers. The version that came with my box was revision 3.60, and I had a few problems setting up the joysticks in Midtown Madness 2. However, with the latest drivers from their website MM2 works fine, with other games such as CM2 automatically detecting its USB presence. So far I have tested it with, MM1&2, CM2, Viper Racing, and it works fine. If you're looking for a pad with the analogue features of the Playstation controller, this is pretty much the only option. Quite expensive at £30 though.... Read review

...Every day we see flashy adverts on the telly for "new and exciting" internet shopping sites. One of these is that charming lion for jungle.com which was too tempting for me as i am an internet shopping adict! i first visited the site to buy cds of my favourite band steps! okay, okay you may not be a fan but youve got to admit they're good!! Anyway, my initial experience was great, the search brung up loads of memorabilia and there was great choice. The ordering was easy and i was pleased, untill... the next time i tried to enter the site, i couldn't, as my user id and password were not being accepted. This annoyed me and scared me as i had already sent a cheque to them. It was a week until i could finally get into the site to check my order, although i was really wasting my time as there had been no progression anyway! i waited... Read review

The DVD I brought was the directors cut so I was surprised they took a main fight scene featuring SeannWilliam Scott out, although you do get to see it here. Featurettes – Rumble in the Jungle The Amazon, Hawaii style Appetite for destruction A rock-umentary Running down the town Walkens World All are not really behind the scenes featurettes although they include about some of the main scenes, but are more of talking to the cast and crew about making the film and their characters. Advantages: Script, action, sound fx, special fx, direction
Disadvantages: too much macho posturing, weakish ending.

...A surprisingly solid well made "Arnie" film that holds the right balance of suspense, drama, action & thrills in equal measure. Predator is no more than "Alien" versus "Rambo" for a rumble in the jungle. This could quite easily have been a Z-rated movie ending up on the video shelf with not even a fanfare to cheer it along. However, this film rises above the dross because of three solid elements - Director, John McTiernan (of Die Hard fame); Jim & John Thomas writing a very tight screenplay. And of course a testerone-filled film like this wouldn't be complete without the big star himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The premise of "Predator" and it's execution make this one of the all time great sci-fi horror films. Disadvantages: Perhaps not enough converage of the fight itself

...When We Were Kings is a documentary by Leon Gast, focusing on one of the most epic, controversial and unprecedented sporting duels in history. It was the 1974 boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, the fight aptly dubbed the 'Rumble in the Jungle' which was held in Kinshasa, Zaire. The documentary makes a specific effort to focus on the magnitude of the fight and circumstances of how it came about rather than the contest itself. This has the effect of enticing the non-boxing fans to this documentary as well as giving an extra dimension to those who may have already have seen the fight. Much of the focus of the fight is on Muhammad Ali, perhaps the most famous of all sport's stars their has ever been. The matches are as followed (WARNING - may contain spoilers featuring in match order) Gregory Helms vs Kid Kash vs Funaki vs Jamie Noble vs Nunzio vs Paul London - 6-Way Cruiserweight match for WWE Cruiserweight Championship I enjoyed this match most times i hate Cruiserweight matches a lot of high flying moves during this match the winner Gregory Helms i was glad as well as i think he is a great wrestler. I like Funaki but I wish that WWE would not make him lose but he done good during this match. ...I have been a PC gamer for several years now, but I've mostly stuck to playing fps titles with the customary keyboard+mouse combo, so I've never really found it necessary to own a gamepad controller. However I recently got into an oldish driving game called Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and having found it fun. I wanted to play it using a more suitable controller than my keyboard (I tried using a force feedback joystick I own, but I don't find it suitable for the game). So I was on the lookout for a reasonably inexpensive gamepad to buy. I found this Logic3 one (model JP-274) online for £9.99 delivered, which seemed like a good deal all things considered (I didn't have much to spend, this being around Christmas!). Now, I wasn't expecting to find a rumble capable gamepad for this price, so this was a nice bonus, as was the similarity... Read review

Advantages: Cheap rumble gamepad that feels nice looks cool!

...After owning various old gamepads with the midi/gameport connection and having different problems with each, namely a constantly moving cursor (VERY annoying) and breaking the dpad I decided the time had come to get a USB pad with rumble as they tend to be more robust than the much older pads and are supposdely much easier to install and setup. I searched around the net looking for a reasonabley priced rumble USB game pad with analog sticks. I found the Saitek P2500 Rumble Force pad including many features for a great price of around £15-20. I also came accross the Saitek P3000 a similiar pad which uses a wireless connection and ships with a docking bay but at double the price (around £30) and lacking rumble technology I wasn't interested.
