...The Sanctuary is, in a word, fabulous. It's a ladies only spa, based in London's Covent Garden. The spa is located on Floral Street, only a couple of minutes walk away from Covent Garden tube (on the Piccadilly line). It's easy enough to find, as there's a sticky-out sign stuck on the side of the building. There's a shop on the ground floor that sells Sanctuary branded products, and the entrance to the spa itself is at the back of the shop. If the shop isn't open when you arrive, it's not a problem as there's a bloke paid to stand in there and open the door for you to get in! So, climbing the stairs to the main entrance and "check in" for the spa, the first thing that hits you is how warm the place is - understandable, given that you'll be spending the day wandering round in an (optional) swimming costume or bikini. ...The Sanctuary was started in 1958 by Ken Jones when a baby seal, only a few hours old, was washed up on the beach at St Agnes. For many years it was based in St Agnes but as news of it's good work spread the amount of animals it received increased and in 1975 it re-located to Geek. Today the Sanctuary has Nursery pools, Convalescence, and Resident pools, and a specially designed Hospital. The hospital over the years has been extended to include isolation pools, as well as treatment and preparation areas. They have rescued many seals over the years, and most are well enough to be released back into the wild after treatment, but some seals, for various reasons, would not survive back in the wild, so they have them as their guests at the Sanctuary. ...I was first introduced to The Sanctuary range about 2 years ago when I was bought a gift set for my birthday. The Sanctuary The Sanctuary Covent Garden is based in London (the name is a bit of a give away) and is a posh spa which is exclusive to ladies! The Sanctuary products only used to be available within The Sanctuary itself but they decided to release their range to be sold in shops so woman could ‘have their own Sanctuary at home’. The Bath Relaxer The Bath Relaxer product from The Sactuary range is basically a bath oil. It comes in a clear bottle with the Sanctuary logo written across the front. The lid is clear and the opening from which you pour the bath oil is orange (most of the Sanctuary products have this colour scheme) This oil claims to be ‘an indulgent bath oil which soothes and moisturises the skin. ...Next in Shazza's marathon review of Sanctuary products is the Sugar Body Scrub. I think I should get a job advertising the Sanctuary's range as I am a total addict of them. See if you have read my other reviews I bet you thought I was exaggerating when I said I had a cupboard full of these - well believe me I'm not! I actually have a special section of my wardrobe dedicated to my Sanctuary items (is that sad?). Whenever I get the opportunity to increase my stash of pampering items I always turn to the Sanctuary products. My favourites is when Boots do them on 3 for 2 offers - time to stock up! So I have already reviewed the Sanctuary Body Scrub, Salt Scrub and Body Wash, now comes the turn of one of my top products in the range. ...After a long hard day this is the way to unwind and relax! The sanctuary Bath Relaxer is just one of many products now available from The Sanctuary Spa, which is based in Covent Garden in London. Oh how I wish I could go there!! I bought my 300ml bottle for £4.25 from boots. I think you can also get a smaller size, this is 100ml. I couldn’t see this size at boots but I know you can buy it online from the sanctuary website, the smaller bottle cost £2. At the moment the Sanctuary range is on offer at 3 for 2 so you can also pick up the body lotion or what ever you want and get the cheapest free!! The bottle is very simple. A clear bottom with its famous orange top, and large blue lettering. I like to see what I buy, and the sanctuary products offer this.
