The Sanctuary Sugar Body Scrub, heaven in a jar!
Review of The Sanctuary Sugar Body Scrub by  shazzaspannered

Advantages: Gives clear looking glowing skin after use
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive but still worth it

...Next in Shazza's marathon review of Sanctuary products is the Sugar Body Scrub. I think I should get a job advertising the Sanctuary's range as I am a total addict of them. See if you have read my other reviews I bet you thought I was exaggerating when I said I had a cupboard full of these - well believe me I'm not! I actually have a special section of my wardrobe dedicated to my Sanctuary items (is that sad?). Whenever I get the opportunity to increase my stash of pampering items I always turn to the Sanctuary products. My favourites is when Boots do them on 3 for 2 offers - time to stock up! So I have already reviewed the Sanctuary Body Scrub, Salt Scrub and Body Wash, now comes the turn of one of my top products in the range. Now I must admit I am also a bit of a car boot sale addict, well it's amazing what you can pick up... Read review

Rub a Dub Dub Sanctuary Body Scrub
Review of The Sanctuary Convent Garden Body Scrub by  shazzaspannered

Advantages: Tub lasts a long time
Disadvantages: Grains tend to cause a bit of residue on skin

...place I know of that's sells these is Boots, you can pick stuff up on Ebay too which can sometimes get you a bargain on unwanted gift sets etc. I have got a massive stock of these products now as after Christmas I decided to buy 3 gift sets which had been reduced in the sale at Boots, I ended up with £70 worth of stuff and it only cost me about £25 so that was a right bargain! I am still using it all now, I do save my Sanctuary stuff for special occasions because it is so luxurious. If I want to give myself a pampering session I always turn to my cupboard with all my sanctuary stuff in. Anyway this product, even though from this range isn't one of my favourites I have to admit. As body scrubs go it isn't too bad, the grains aren't too hard, they are enough to give a good result but not in any way scratchy. I would describe the smell... Read review

The Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub
Review of The Sanctuary Salt scrub by  shazzaspannered

Advantages: Smells Divine, Relaxing Bath Treatment and Body Scrub in 1
Disadvantages: Can leave greasy film inside bath

.... The only thing that I have found using this is that the bath can have a film left in it after you have used it, nothing that a quick rinse with the shower head, some warm water and a J Cloth doesn't sort out in a couple of minutes though. To be honest every single body scrub I have tried has left some kind of residue in the bottom of the bath so this is no different to any of the others in that respect but in terms of the way it smells and makes you feel it is head and shoulders above anything that I have tried before. Sanctuary products can be purchased from Boots or from www.thesanctuary.co.uk they have a very comprehensive range of bath products, body scrubs, skin care items, a foot care range and even a range for mothers to be. The prices start at £2 for travel sized items and then go up to about £10. They do travel sets and gift sets... Read review

Somebody Scrub my back!
Review of The Sanctuary Convent Garden Body Scrub by  Nizzie

Advantages: gorgeous smell, gentle exfoliater that actually smoothes skin!
Disadvantages: uses a lot

...Recently I've purchased a few Sanctuary items and received this one as a gift in a mini kit comprising of the body lotion, body wash and body scrub costing around £7. I think this is good value for money as the sizes are generous for a mini kit (75ml each) and comes in a handy transparent plastic wallet, so good for your travels too. Again, like other Sanctuary products I tried and reviewed, this smells deliciously gorgeous! Nobody will be disappointed with the fragrance. I did feel my skin felt invigorated and moisturised - even brighter and wonderfully refreshed after using this in the shower. My only complaint is the volume I had to use. The same can be said for the body wash, which was worse in my opinion. I wasn't sure how to apply the body scrub, so I used my hands, then a bath lily & a sponge, but found I was still... Say goodbye to dry skin with this body scrub
Review of The Body Shop Shea Body Scrub by  lizngaz

Advantages: Leaves skin very soft, ideal for people with very dry skin
Disadvantages: quite greasy but soon absorbed

...either, I'm quite happy to leave this out in my bathroom. Using the Shea Body Scrub The first thing I noticed about the body scrub was the smell. Now I'm not that fantastic at describing smells (hence the lack of perfume reviews!) but I would describe it as being a vanilla/coffee type smell. It's very mild and unoffensive but quite sweet at the same time. The best idea would be for you to pop along to your local shop and have a smell, just to make sure that you like it before buying. I scooped out a small amount of the body scrub and firstly applied it to my wet legs, massaging in a circular motion. The hard bits in the scrub were a lot bigger than I was used to in my usual Sanctuary body scrub, but they soon melted onto my skin, so you aren't left with loads of bits in the bottom of the bath when you get out! The base... Read review

Scrub-a-Dub Dub!!!
Review of The Sanctuary Sugar Body Scrub by  georglette

Advantages: Looks Good, Smells Good, Scrubs Good
Disadvantages: You get what you pay for! Sometimes you have to pay a little more...

...In case you're not familiar with the brand, 'The Sanctuary' is a well known health and beauty spa situated in Covent Garden - frequented by top celebs (or so I've heard, maybe one day you'll catch me in there - I wish!!). They have taken the generous step of making their products available to those of us who cannot afford to splash out on a luxury visit by launching them in stores such as Boots - hurrah for them! The following review is for their 'Hot Sugar Body Polish' - I hope you find it useful and informative... Packaging: Gorgeously presented, this item definitely doesn't fit into the same category as own-brand supermarket showergel! The glass jar is a little heavy and cumbersome in the relatively cramped environment of the average bathroom but the does look absolutely fab and definitely adds some class! The jar seals well... The Sanctuary Spa Body Wash
Review of The Sanctuary Body Wash by  shazzaspannered

Advantages: Smells gorgeous, lathers really well and lasts a long time
Disadvantages: Moisture capsules dont burst

...So here I am again with another review on a Sanctuary item! If you've read any of my other reviews then you will have picked up on the fact that this is one of my favourite ranges. I have got quite a collection of products from the Sanctuary now, I save them for those days when I fancy a bit of pampering and feel like treating myself at bathtime. So for those who don't already know Sanctuary products have been created by the same people who run the Sanctuary Day Spa in Covent Garden, London. This spa which is women only offers treatments in a relaxing and calm atmosphere. One day I will actually go there for the day but it's one of those things I haven't got round to yet! In their range which is available at Boots they offer a really good selection of products body scrubs, lotions, foot products, skincare, bath and shower items... Read review

Scrub your way to better skin
Review of The Sanctuary Salt Scrub Bar by  lizngaz

Advantages: Improves skin condition
Disadvantages: can be drying, definitely need a moisturiser after use

...Having just reviewed The Sanctuarys Creamy Body Wash and trying to get in that review how good I thought all the other Sanctuary products were, I decided to look for a couple more of my favourites on here and this is one of them. I received the Salt Scrub Bar in a gift set about a year ago and popped it away in the cupboard as it didn't really appeal to me. I already used the Sanctuary Salt Scrub and Body Scrub and loved them, so didn't really see the need for another product of this type. Receiving it again in another gift set this year (I get about 2 every year as everyone knows how much I love this stuff!), I decided to try it out as it seemed a waste otherwise. Appearance wise, it looks like an orange bar of soap with white strands all the way through it. It is actually a "body bar" with natural sea salt, loofah, sweet... Read review

Salt Scrub Soap!
Review of The Sanctuary Salt Scrub Bar by  daylehall

Advantages: Smells lush, leave skin clean and silky
Disadvantages: Can be harsh for 1st few applications

...After finding all The Sanctuary range on here, I thought I would continue my theme and review all the Sanctuary products I have used. Salt Scrub Bar The Sanctuary Salt Scrub Bar, which is orange, is basically a bar of soap but with a bit of a difference. It is an exfoliating soap which contains loofah and sea salt which is designed to exfoliate your skin. The loofah and sea salt are obvious ingredients in the bar as it has a sort of grainy texture to it. Other ingredients include Evening Primrose Oil and Almond Oil which are designed to moisturise your skin after it has been exfoliated. It is packaged in a clear wrapper bearing the distinctive fish logo of the Sanctuary on the front. The products claims that it is "a luxurious soap to exfoliate and smooth your whole body. Price A 200g bar costs £3.95 which isn’t cheap... Read review

Scrubbing in the bath
Review of The Sanctuary Salt Scrub Bar by  miggmoggspud

Advantages: Smells fab
Disadvantages: Might irritate very sensitive skin

...lathered up magnificently and left my skin feeling very clean, soft and smelling fab! I would heartily recommend this to anyone who is looking for a body buffing product. Even though it is slightly expensive for a bar of soap, the bar that I have currently has lasted since Christmas and I think I'll have enough for another 2 months (this is having a bath twice a week - don't worry, the rest of the time I have a shower so I use the Sanctuary Body Wash instead) so this works out at approximately 56 generous scrubs in the bath at approximately 7p per bath - bargain! My only concern is that the exfoliating element might irritate very sensitive skin but I have not had any problems.... Read review
