Is it still a secret?????
Review of PostSecret by  Secre

Advantages: Amazing, creative, haunting site that makes you think
Disadvantages: No archives...see 'downfalls' in op

...I have fairly recently discovered the site Postsecret and have in a very short space of time become utterly addicted to it...there is without a doubt something incredibly haunting about this site...for reasons I will go into later on. Factual Information Postsecret was set up on January 1st 2005 by Frank Warren and is based in America. It is in essence a very simple idea, you send in an anonymous 6 inch by 4 inch postcard with a secret written on it that you have never revealed before, these are then scanned and the best ones are put up onto the site. Most of the postcards come from America due to the location of the site but international readers do send in postcards as well. There are no regulations on what this secret is, providing it is the truth (although that is based on trust I suppose) and it has never been revealed before... Read review

This Secret is not for me
Review of The Secret - Rhonda Byrne by  Writing321

Advantages: Would be good if could be proven
Disadvantages: Makes claims I can not believe

...I have a secret for you. Do not buy The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne. ''You hold in your hands a great secret" it says on the back. ''It has been passed down through the ages, highly coveted, hidden, lost, stolen and bought for vast sums of money. This centuries-old Secret has been understood by some of the most prominent people in history: Plato, Galileo, Beethoven, Edison, Carnegie, Einstein - along with other inventors, theologians, scientists and great thinkers. Now the Secret is being revealed to the world.'' A new friend loaned me this book and as I am not a new-age sort of person I wasn't too interested but she emailed the next day to see if I had started reading it, if so, what did I think of it? So, after reading the blurb on the back and thinking it a bit ''airy-fairy'' for me I set off to find the new me, to see why I hadn... Read review

Can You Keep A Secret ?
Review of Can You Keep a Secret? - Sophie Kinsella by  xdonzx

Advantages: funny , Romantic , Good storyline , Good characters
Disadvantages: Too short!

...The other day I was in my local PDSA (vets for pets) shop searching for a bargain when I came across the books , which were all stacked neatly on a couple of dust-free shelves. As I quickly skimmed through the titles , my eyes were snatched by a lilac cover with a picture of a girl standing in a snow globe , standing with her back to the reader and crossing her fingers behind her back, surrounded by silver stars in the globe. The title read "Can You Keep A Secret ? ". "Ooh, wonder what this is about ?" I say to my friend who is also a keen reader. Curiously I wonder what type of secret is the book about ? I'm desperate to know. So without hesitation I pick the book up and take it to the till. After all it was only 99p - hardly going to break the bank was it ? and it would keep me entertained for a few hours! (well I was hoping it was... Read review

A secret is a secret....
Review of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - J.K. Rowling by  Escherichia

Advantages: very easy to read
Disadvantages: no

...Harry Potter, “The Chamber of Secrets” is the second book following Harry’s adventures. J.K. Rowling who is the author of the novel is born in Chipping Dodbury and then is english. It is in 1990 that she had the idea of harry and his school of wizard. She began to write only three years later the first adventure of Harry Potter which bore off a great success. Then, J.K. Rowling decided to prolong Harry’s story with “The Chamber of Secrets”. This second work of art was published by Bloomsbury in London in 1998. J.K. Rowling forecasts to write the seven books which trace the seven years Harry has to study in Hogwarts, the wizard college. Harry Potter lives in Privet Drive with his uncle Vernon, his aunt Petunia and his cousin Dudley who don’t like him very much. Harry is an orphan, his parents died in protecting him against... What Secret?
Review of The Secret - Rhonda Byrne by  DoubleFantasy11

Advantages: The basic advice is 'good'
Disadvantages: Pretentious, not movitational or inspirational, repetitive, boring, not worth the paper it's printed on

...What’s The Secret? Well, it’s not actually a secret. Although great effort has gone into creating a book that looks as though it’s going to reveal some substantial mystery, this is actually a sub-average self-help book that simply reiterates advice that has been doing the rounds for at least twenty years. The only difference is that it’s presented as some esoteric information that the reader should consider themselves lucky to be party to. Linking her advice to Einstein, Beethoven, Edison and Galileo is all very intriguing, but gives Rhonda Byrne’s book more than a whiff of pretentiousness. These great men all knew The Secret not because it was only available to the most intelligent elite, but because it’s rooted in common sense. To be fair, let’s assume that that’s the point Byrne is making: that The Secret is not actually... Read review

My Secret Wish and Magic Romance.........
Review of Anna Sui Secret Wish Magic Romance Eau De Toilette by  just.bcoz

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: none at all

...Anna Sui ~ Secret Wish Magic Romance ~ Eau De Toilette I really like the Anna Sui perfumes because they have very unusual scents. I also really like the creative and decorative bottles which the perfumes are supplied in. I have 8 different Anna Sui fragrances in my perfume collection but my favourite one has to be Sui Love mainly because I love the look of the butterfly bottle. I treated my self to a 30 ml bottle of Secret Wish Magic Romance a few months ago; you can also buy Secret Wish Magic Romance beauty products to compliment and layer the scent. The 30 ml bottle of Secret Wish Magic Romance Eau De Toilette cost me £18 from Debenhams. As you can see from the picture at the top of this review, the bottle of perfume has a lovely curvy shape to it. The lid of the bottle has got to be the most decorative and creative... Read review

Could I keep a secret?
Review of Can You Keep a Secret? - Sophie Kinsella by  lauricha

Advantages: Fantastic read, great for planes, trains... anywhere!
Disadvantages: None that i know, its just not long enough

...This is a fantastic book. There are so many great reviews about what the book is about, I'm not going to go too in depth about the plot and storyline, I'm just going to explain why I think this book is fantastic! The book is so true to every modern woman out there. We all have secrets, and as the leading lady Emma Corrigan points out, they aren't massive HUGE secrets like the meaning of life. They're just ordinary, little secrets. Some of hers include: not being a size 8 (like her boyfriend Connor thinks) but being a size 12, she thinks Connor is too good-looking, almost like a Ken doll, she lost her virginity in the upstairs spare room while her parents were watching Ben Hur. See, nothing too
