...In The Beginning....
Over 40 years ago, Cliff Richard's backing band, The Shadows, (now consisting of Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Brian Bennett), had the number one hit, 'Apache' (UK No. 1 for six weeks and helped inspire artists such as Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler). This was the start of a hugely successful music career and now, the band has reunited for the first time in 15 years for their final tour.
Promoting their new album, The Shadows and their millions of fans, will celebrate being one of the most talented bands in the history of British music. Their new album features all their previous hits, and a new track called 'Life Story', which was the last song ever written by Jerry Lordan, who wrote earlier hits such as 'Apache' and 'Wonderful Land'.

Advantages: A CD that can be listened to anytime, anywhere.
Disadvantages: Just a couple of weak tracks
...In this CD we have what is arguably the very best of Shadows music.
Originally released in 1961 and 1962 respectively, what we have here is their first two albums rolled into one, THE SHADOWS and OUT OF THE SHADOWS, making it good value for money.
The first album sees the group with their original line-up of Hank Marvin,Jet Harris,Bruce Welch and Tony Meehan; while in the second Jet and Tony are replaced by Brian Bennett on drums and Brian Locking on bass guitar.
It was this change of line-up that altered the Shadows sound to what we recognise today. Previous to this the group had a raw, rocky edge to it, emphasised by Jet Harris's style of bass playing, and Tony Meehan's penchant for playing a highly-tuned snare drum. The bass playing of Brian Locking never matched the dynamics of Harris, and Brian Bennett's style was...

LIVING IN THE SHADOW

...would really like to play the games I closely admired 10 years or more ago. These were collections of titles from the Sonic Team featuring old Sega games of the 90's featuring Sonic and company as seen on Sega consoles (and an arcade game or two thrown in for good measure). Needless to say these games took me right back to my younger days and I quickly found a new fondness for these titles.
It was not long before my intrigue lead me to buy the game in question for this review, Shadow the Hedgehog for the Playstation 2.
Be warned, this review is extremely detailed and contains some spoilers.
