...I'm a bit of a sucker for hair products, I'm always purchasing new things to try out to give my hair that salon finish. This has resulted in several drawers in my house filled with half used products that I have discarded to the 'well, you never know, I might use it again' pile and a husband constantly looking for storage space and asking when I will be sorting these out..... Shine On!

Advantages: cream and soft texture when applying and when on, longevity, glaze finish, feels moisturising
Disadvantages: wish the colour range was better and more true to the colours shown

...In Boots they recently had an offer on in which when you buy any 17 product, you receive a free 17 Shine on lipstick worth around £5 and not when to pass on an offer I decided to browse the shelves and see what I could fine. In the end I decided upon a lipstick in the shade 'Bon Bon' as my free treat. ~~What is it?~~ This is a lipstick from Boots range, 17, which is mainly aimed at older teenage girls. It seems to hold a range of products and the quality seems to be in the middle of their other ranges No 7 and Natural Collection and is priced accordingly. This particular product is their 'Shine On' lipstick. Shine On

Advantages: Stephen King's claim to fame ; Superb atmosphere ; Sublime plot ; A vivid imagination that stretches all supernatural boundaries ; Probably responsible for some of the best horror films of the 70's and 80's
Disadvantages: Some unessesary background in the first half ; Kubrik mucked up the story too much ; Could have been much more

...Being thoroughly refreshed and cheerful following my Misery conquest, an adrenaline rush urged me to stick my nose into yet another King classic, The Shining. Of course, generally when you've seen a certain Jack Nicholson film more times than you care to remember, you start to wonder, why bother? But then you hear how Stanley Kubrick practically threw Stephen King's novel into the fire after a quick skim read and went about making his own super version, makes you pretty inclined to read the novel that made King the bestseller he is today. Initially I was apprehensive about starting the book as I'd heard some negativity surrounding the content of the first few hundred pages. I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.
