...This is a review on the Playstation 2 game called The Simpson’s Hit and Run. It is the first Simpson’s game to be in the style of a Grand Theft Auto game. Not too sure who the Simpson’s are? Then you are either a person who does not watch TV much, or very young or just don’t have a TV. The Simpson’s is a TV series, starring the likes of Homer, and Bart, and the Comic Book Guy. The Simpson’s live in a town called Springfield in America. The Simpson’s family, called The Simpson’s always get into mischief or help people out, sometimes just for no reason. ...THE Simpson’s Bart wars although somewhat deceiving in its title and cover is still quite funny. It contains four Classic episodes from the hit TV series that are as follows: Mayored to the mob, Dog of death, the secret war of Lisa Simpson and Marge be not proud. These four episodes also include voice talents such as Willem Defoe (the military school commander in "Secret War of Lisa Simpson") Phil Hartman (as the Troy McClure in "Marge") and of course Mark Hamill plays himself in episode one. Mayored to the mob (Season 10, Original airdate: 12/20/98) This episode features homer saving Mark Hamill from a bunch of nerds. After completing his bodyguard training, this episode is actually the only episode on Bart wars that is linked with star wars. ...Now I wasn't going to write a review on the Simpsons knowing that its hardly an original topic to write about. But then I thought to myself that the Simpsons is just too good not to write about. The show is, as I'm sure you already know, an animation aimed not only at children but also at adults and is created by Matt Groening. The shows life started when ‘The shorts', a series of short Simpsons episodes, were shown at the start and end of advert breaks in the USA. These shorts were, however, a far cry from the show that we know and love today. They featured only very ‘primitive' animations of the five main Simpsons characters, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, and the voices too were not what they are today. ...In 2005 I would buy this series 1 simpsons from the shop W.h.smith. I buy it for 16 pounds. I was a young person shopping in Uxbridge, running for the greatest DVDs and I saw this one on the shelf to just look like a small family who are made of yellow skin. Aswell as the yellow skin there is another funny appearance that is on this 3 disc set. I won't tell you the funny appearance but I will tell you that the other day I largely watched the simpsons in a certain silly way for a lot of the episodes. .. the audio commentary... no, no , no, that is not any fun to listen to. I enjoyed all of the shows on series 1 : 1. ...I’ve been watching this for years and so I thought that for my first review I’d give my opinions on the characters of this wonderful show. For anyone who’s not seen it before (hard to believe but there must be some), the Simpsons is a cartoon series about an American family (coloured yellow for some cartoony reason) living in a city called Springfield. The series is written by Matt Groenig (who has recently also written Futurama). The characters aren’t in any order other than the way my memory works. ...This first collection of 'The Simpsons' episodes- including all episodes from the first season of the hit american comedy show, is a reasonably good collection. If you are a real Simpsons fan, you will notice that the way the characters look and the attention to detail is not as great as shown in later seasons- yet with this , you must remember it is only the first season, and it does take time for things to kick off. The Simpsons season one DVD comes presented in a shiny silver box, which folds three times, and slots into the cardboard box design. In relation to the other Simpsons seasons, the quantity of episodes are not as great- 13 in total, however, the episodes are really entertaining, and do show the Simpsons in top form. ...General So we have reached Series 6 of the Simpsons. The shows that were originally aired in 1994-1995. These shows are from the peak years of the Simpson 1993-1999 and many of them are classics. During this review I will provide with a brief story of each episode and then give you a rating out of 5 stars. ...*-The Simpson's-hit and run-* This great game has to be one of my favourites. I love the idea that you can control the Simpson characters. The story line Aliens have drugged buzz cola and are secretly filming earth's stupidity for a space program! The Simpson's are Springfield's only hope. Act as Marge, Homer, Bart, Lisa or even Apu in separate levels to each do their part in saving Springfield, or even the world! Be quick though as the aliens are planning on drugging the whole of Springfield's water system!
