The Sims 3: World Adventures

Advantages: The countries are really detailed and the new Sims are great!
Disadvantages: Time doesn't pass when you're on holiday, adventures aren't very sim-like!

...World Adventures is the first (probably of many!) expansion pack for the Sims 3. It is an unusual choice for the first pack, being quite a deviation from the normal Sims gameplay. World Adventures allows your Sims to visit three different countries; Egypt, China and France. The main idea of the pack is that you complete different adventures in each area (hence the title!) and this is what initially put me off getting the game. I play the Sims because I like the gameplay of it, not because I want to play an adventure or puzzle game! ...Before I start this review, I should mention that I am a long time Sims fan. I have every single game and every single expansion, and therefore have played the game rather a lot over the years! I have been eagerly following the release of Sims 3, even building a laptop based around it's specs, and so I was very glad when it FINALLY got a release after numerous hold ups! A cuter Sims world with plenty of adventure

Advantages: Cute, easy to get into, and with plenty of challenges for you to use your design skills on.
Disadvantages: Controls can be a bit picky at times. Lacks the sophistication of Sims itself.

Advantages: can leave property without going to load screen, graphics updated

OMGOMG SIMS 3 YESSSS

Advantages: Its brilliant, everything is fully customisable and suitable for many ages.
Disadvantages: Can become too addictive and consume your brain!

...OH MY GOD. Honestly, I remember the days when I used to be OBSESSED with the first version of The Sims. It took over my life! Its such an addictive game. But, unfortunately, I never got around to buying Sims 2, and I went straight to Sims 3 when it came out. Sims has always been an amazing classic, the absolute King of simulation games. Or Queen if you prefer. If you enjoy Simulation games, The Sims 3 is definitely worth the £35 it costs. But be careful not to play it too much, it can take over your life! It becomes so addictive! Theres so many things you can do. Your Sims are fully customisable, and I've succeeded in making Sims of some of my family and friends. When I see my mum walking around the house on screen, it looks so real its freaky! All in all its a brilliant game, just don't let yourself get too addicted!...

The Sims 3 - Worth the wait?

Advantages: Fair price, easy to install, £6 free points
Disadvantages: Not as easy as it looks, repetitive, unfinished feel.

...I was excited, I bet like so many others about the release of The Sims 3 on the PC, well firstly we were all disappointed by the release date being moved and so we had to wait another six months! But then finally it went on sale and I bought it the first day it came out. Now as I sit here writing this, I am bored by The Sims 3 and the whole concept of The Sims. The game claims to be able to do so much more than the original Sims 2. But although the game is slightly more advanced, such as you can see the whole neighbourhood and walk to town or watch your sim drive to town in the cab, I don't think this actually makes the game easier or more fun. The game now takes longer to do anything. Although I enjoy the game and I believe it has taken a long time to make. I still believe that EA rushed the release of this. I know that other people...

...As a 16 year old I am very experienced with all the Sims games from the original 'Sims' and it's 'making magic' etc to the new addition of the Sims 3. First Appearance: On advertisements it is VERY appealing, showing us the new and improved version the Sims3 has a complete new feel to it. With more human-like characters and a more varied and random behaviour traits. The sims3 has been packed with many different aspects to make the game last forever and ever without feeling you have 'completed' it to a maximum. Town/Build/Buy Mode. Advantages: Great game with too many improvements to list here!
Disadvantages: no multiplayer (except online community)

However it is likely that these things will be uploaded with up and coming patches and add ons! infact they are working on an expansion called "Sim's 3 World Adventures" which i look forward to! Another is the multiplayer scene in which it is not multiplayer at all except from the online community thing where people upload things. But despite that, it is an amazingly fun game, and hugely entertaining. Great game for all, especially Sim's fans, a must have!!!...
