The Sims 2
Review of The Sims 2 by
ruth1957
Advantages: you can have fun, entertaining
Disadvantages: you can get addicted
...The Sims 2 is a very good game, i think it is much better than the original version of Sims. The graphics on the Sims 2 are much better than the original. I prefer the Sims 2 because there are more features on there, and some of the original features too. There are several improvements in the Sim 2. Firstly, when you make a new sim there are a lot more options than the original version of sims. You can change the shape of the eyes, make the eyes wider, bigger and longer. You can change every feature of the face, including the mouth and the eyebrows, i think this is a good improvement because you can make your sims more original. The other improvement when you are making a new sim is that you can make sims in more categories, toddler, child, teenager, adult and old people. You can get the sims to do more things, there are more option...

I cant wait till the 3rd!
Review of The Sims 2 by
kayzschick
Advantages: Better graphics and more choice
Disadvantages: not entirely suitable for all ages
...The Sims, i would say that the Sims 2 is probably the best simulator type game ever invented. In this game you will be able to create your own family and let them act out life. That may seem boring but your the master!
you can choose what they do and when they do!
The first version of the Sims was a big hit everyone loved it, but now its the second versions turn you can do everything you can on Sims 1 but more. in sims2 you get better quality graphics more fun activities more baby types (twins) and much more add on's (sold separately) you also get more choice of personalities of your Sims and looks. If you have access to the internet you can also download other ready made Sims and houses providing you have that pack or the packs needed!
The Sims 2 is an all round better version of Sims 1 i cant wait till the 3rd!...

Have control over life (even if its not your own!)
Review of The Sims 2 by
Jesselle
Advantages: Good graphics, lots more interactions, great fun!
Disadvantages: Some minor 'bugs'
...As soon as I knew about Sims 2 coming out, I was itching to try it. I was absolutely addicted to The Sims, so finding out that Sims 2 would have more interactions, better graphics and a 'proper' life cycle was music to my ears.
The game does come on 4 discs, so installation can be lengthly, but those thoughtful people at EA Games have even added a little game to play while installation takes place.
I love the fact that the sims now age right from baby to toddler, to child, to teenager, to adult, to old person. The life cycle is much more realistic, even to the point that the teenagers get zits and your adult female sim actually gets pregnant -complete with expanding bump!
Your sims have aspirations this time around whether it be for romance, family, popularity, to grow up, knowledge or fortune and for each one they have wants...

EA Games Sims 2
Review of The Sims 2 by
shooga
Advantages: 3D, enhanced graphics, better prospectivew of life
Disadvantages: Harder to get used to the new camera options, more demanding specs needed to play
...after the massive sucess of the sims, the first game in the series, entertainment arts decided to get to work on the sims 2, The basic idea of the game is the same as the original, to live your sims lives and try to keep them happy and make them sucessful. You could have kids and friends but they never grow up. Now the sims2 goes through the humans life cycle, starting off as a new born baby right the way up to an old elder and finally. Death. There are items you can but to take a sim bck through time to a younger stage in their lives. These can be bought with aspiration points, this is another new feature in th sims2, you have to forfill you sims wants and needs, for example, your sim wants to dance. Making you sims dance will give you aspiration points with which you can but items.
You can now create your own town, customise...

The Best Sims 2 Game
Review of The Sims 2 Pets Expansion Pack (PC) by
stuart_wright1
Advantages: You Can Now Have Pets
Disadvantages: You Need An Even Faster Computer To Run It
...I bought this expansion pack for my favourite PC game a few months ago and since then it has been played to death.
Some critisize EA for not including very much material in the expansion pack and getting people to pay £20 for an extra 50 items. However in this game they add a whole new cat and dog creator.
They also include items for the animals including kennels and scratching posts.
The actual simulation itself is very good as you can teach the dogs tricks and teach them right from wrong. I absolutely love these new features and would not be without them now I have them.
As I said in the diasadvantages section the game does require an even better computer than The Sims 2. As well as all the specifications for it you also need a 1.3 GHz processor, an extra 1.5 GB of hard drive space and 32 MB graphics card. For the graphics card...

Sims 2 - Town or Gown
Review of The Sims 2 University (PC) by
alexsonofsparky
Advantages: Great fun to play, adds to the Sims experience
Disadvantages: complicated at first. very addictive
...The Sims 2 University is the first expansion pack for the Sims 2. With this expansion pack, you gain a whole new life stage "young adult". You have a choice of two Universities per neighbourhood. Teenage Sims receive a grant depending on their marks at school, and their University adventure can begin.
Once they arrive at University, the game is quite realistic. Sims have a choice of living in a Dorm (Hall of Residence) or renting a house. When they first arrive, they won't have enough money to rent a house, so a dorm is your only option, and I advise choosing one of the smaller dorms, as there will be fewer non-playing characters to confuse you. If your Sims study hard and make the Deans list in their first two semesters they will then have enough to rent a house.
Be warned though.. in order to get good enough grades to make the deans...

The best gaming experience!
Review of The Sims 2 (PSP) by
Mz_Spongebob_20
Advantages: The game leaves the player wanting more.
Disadvantages: NONE
...After the thrill and excitement of the first Sims game on Playstation2, PC and The Complete Sims Collection came The Sims 2 and the publicity and buzz was back again.
The Sims 2 life simulation game was first released as a Windows pc game on September 17, 2004 and priced around £40 or less which was quite expensive for me anyway. However now the prices range from as cheap as £20 and you can get it on different platforms such as playstation2, Playstation portable, Game-boy etc.
From my own experiences, I cannot get enough of Sims I have been a fan since the first ever Sims was released in February 23rd 2000 and won The Game of the Year but this one is different, better than the first one, and much more enjoyable. Basically, The Sims 2 is a life simulation game where you can create a person (Sim) such as make how they look and what...

Sims 2 Free Time
Review of The Sims 2: Freetime Expansion Pack (PC) by
loopeyuk
Advantages: Excellent add on role playing game. Very addictive
Disadvantages: NONE
...I am a huge fan of the Sims 2 and have all the expansion packs and stuff packs which have been released.
Sims 2 Freetime by far is one of my favourite expansion packs. Your sims now have 10 hobbies which they can take part in :
*Arts and Crafts
*Cuisine
*Film and literature
*Fitness
*Games
*Musica & Dance
*Nature
*Science
*Sports
*Tinkering
Each sims hobby is choosen for them by the computer once you have created your sim and the sim has to take part in "their" hobby before you know which is their particular one. Once you have established your sims hobby you then start to build enthusiasm for it by taking part in the activities they enjoy.
Each Sim is given a bug box in their Inventory which they can display in their homes and collect beetles, spiders and butterflies which all count towards the Nature enthusiasm.
Two new Talent...

The Sims 2 DVD-ROM
Review of The Sims 2 (DVD-Rom) by
matty0501
Advantages: Only 1 disc, loads of features
Disadvantages: Can be slow
...I have been a fan of the Sims for many years now, but only recently recently the Sims 2 for Christmas. When I opened it up, I noticed that it said DVD-Rom. At this point I panicked, thinking that I wouldn't be able to use it. Luckily, my computer has a DVD-ROM drive. The only difference between the normal CD-ROM version and the DVD-ROM, Is that the DVD-ROM only has one disc, making installation easier and quicker.
Installation
As I said, because the game is held on one disc only, you don't have to sit waiting for the computer to tell you top put in 'disc 2' or disc 3' etc. This means that you can leave the computer to happily go about its business of installing, whilst you go and watch the telly. As with most games, you can choose where to install the game. To keep you occupied during the installation (if there's noting on TV) a small...
