This bridge lifts
Advantages: Good play value
Disadvantages: none
...of the bridge fit. The bridge itself is a long piece off Brio rail track with green plastic safety barrier sides to prevent any trains falling off it. There is a short piece of string attached to the centre of the bridge this is attached to a control tower at one end of the bridge. This has a little handle attached and the bridge can be raised and lowered by winding the handle.
The height of the bridge is enough for a small toy car to go under without it being raised but for a toy lorry or a double Decker bus the bridge will need to be raised. Your child could join the pieces of track together in such as way that the train track could go under this bridge.
I think this bridge is a good addition makes the track more interesting.
The group of children I had this afternoon had a great time playing with this as part of their train set...

~ Bridge To Terabithia~
Advantages: Excellent acting, Great story, Good Soundtrack
Disadvantages: none
...Bridge To Terabithia
This weekend while visiting a friend we decided to have a relaxed afternoon and stick on a film and have a glass of wine. As her ten year old son was with us we decided to watch the children?s movie Bridge to Terabithia. I have heard of the film before but didn?t really know much about it. I didn?t know who was in it, what it was about or who made the film which sometimes I think it is a good idea not knowing anything about it. I quite like these children fantasy films like The Narnia films so I thought this couldn?t be too bad. What I like about children?s DVD?s is that they are presented really nicely and this DVD was no exception. It had an outer cardboard cover and the front cover was colourful and looked very magical, which would help attracting kids to buy it (or rather their parents). Another aspect...

The Charles Bridge
Advantages: Free entrance, beutifully built, historic attraction
Disadvantages: Can get very busy
...Charles Bridge is probably one of Pragues most recognised landmarks. For many years, Charles Bridge was the only way to cross the River Vltava that flows through the middle of the City. Nowadays there are many bridges connecting Old Town Prague and the New Town but there is still something very special about the Charles Bridge that makes it stand out from all the others.
Charles Bridge is an old stone gothic bridge which is lined with numerous statues of saints. The bridge was built from sandstone blocks and was commissioned by Charles IV, after whom the bridge was named, in 1357. Today, the Charles Bridge can only be crossed on foot, but with it being a very popular attraction in Prague, it is literally crammed with crowds of people all day long. There is no fee for crossing the bridge but tourists are invited to walk up the tower...

A bridge over, not so troubled, waters.
Advantages: Truly beautiful and historic
Disadvantages: Can get very busy at times
... CHARLES BRIDGE
PRAGUE
When I booked to go to Prague for a short break I knew nothing at all about the city. The little visitors guide I bought told me that one of the must see' places I must visit on my holiday was 'Charles Bridge'
As it happens, our hotel in Malá Strana was quite close to the famous bridge and we crossed it every time that we went to the Old town.
This little book also told me that the bridge would be very crowded and that it was a known place that pickpockets were in abundance.
I don't know why, but when we were there (mid-week in October) the bridge was busy but never over busy.
So what is Charles Bridge?
Charles Bridge (Karlov Most) is to Prague is what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris, the Tower to London etc. It is possibly Prague's most famous landmark.
It is an impressive...

Under the bridge?
Advantages: Value for money, good location.
Disadvantages: Bathroom a little tatty, no restaurant or bar.
...With my bargain Ryanair flights for just 2p per person I set about the task of looking for a luxurious hotel at a bargain price, having been to Dublin a good few times before I had stayed in a few different areas previously and was very keen on staying in the Temple Bar area again, I had misunderstood my other half when he said he had been to Dublin before as he had stayed in Dublin but he had only been for the day so when he said he had found a fantastic hotel in a great location for a great price I let him go ahead and book it as Dublin is easy enough to get around and nowhere is really ever to far to get to.
A 4 star guesthouse the Leeson Bridge Guesthouse is located on Upper Leeson Street and was ?99.00 for 1 night and promised a comfortable clean room in a great location and what was more it had a sauna and Jacuzzi bath exactly...

The Sydney Harbour Bridge
Advantages: Read Opp
Disadvantages: Read Opp
...My next review is on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which is perhaps one of the most iconic monuments in Sydney, if not the whole of Australia. The Bridge is the main thing that stands out when you first arrive in Sydney, its like their gateway into and out of the City, and with its sheer size, its something that people should take the time to look at up close and personal.
History:
The bridge has a long history, original plans to create the bridge started in the late 1890?s however construction didn?t actually start until the mid 1920?s. The bridge?s total length is a mammoth 1149 metres (3,770 ft), and according to the World Records book the bridge has the tallest arch steel frame measuring 134 meters (429.6 ft)
The bridge is accessible by many modes on transport which include, train, car toll, and walking. The bridge connects two main...

Building a Bridge to my Heart
Advantages: Stunning architecture and setting, free, the handsome divers
Disadvantages: Dives are at random times; very slippy stones underfoot
...Perhaps because I live in Gateshead, where seven of them within a stones throw of each span the River Tyne linking us with Newcastle, bridges seem to strike a chord with me. Not only do their designs and the materials they are constructed from put them in a defined time but their very being often represents some important moment from history. Often so much more than just a crossing place, bridges can arise from or be symbolic of more than is at first obvious.
Since childhood I longed to see the Stari Most in the city of Mostar in what was then Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina. A family friend had been in the country and had brought back postcards of various sights in Yugoslavia, this being one of them. In particular I was fascinated by the divers, those brave ? some might say crazy ? young men who leap from the peak...

This bridge is double suspension
Advantages: good bridge
Disadvantages: none
...We are playing with the Brio trains again today. My grandchildren and the class where I work have a large amount of Brio trains and accessories. Some of it is the real Brio wooden train sets and some is Brio compatible from other companies.
The Box of brio track gets emptied on the floor and track laid, to make it more interesting we have the double suspension bridge. Just over 1 metre long at 3.5 feet its Length: 1134mm (44.7"). The highest point is just over 7 inches/18cm. This is Brio?s longest bridge it is Modelled after San Francisco?s famous Golden Gate, The pieces that make this bridge are 2 red bridge sections these are plastic and the track that goes over them is wooden.
There is a short piece of track (A1) that can be used to join the bridge parts together. There are also 2 ascending N tracks one for each side...

This is not a Bridge Too Far
Advantages: Lovely food and entertainment
Disadvantages: I have to drive
...have a glimpse of these wonderful desserts on your way to the carvery counter, giving you the time to thing about what you want to save some room for whilst you eat your dinner.
The food definitely tastes as good, if not better than it looks, on all the times I have visited here, which is over a dozen, there has never been dry vegetables or meat, which I have found at other carvery establishments; the vegetables are also not overdone and soggy, to me they are just right, not to crisp and not to soft. 10/10 Bridges for the food.
~~ Staff ~~
I have always found that the staff to be very polite and courteous, often on our arrival there is a small queue of people waiting to book in and be shown to their table, this is always handled quickly and efficiently and I have never seen anyone wait too long, even at the bar when there are a few...

The Duplo train goes over this bridge
Advantages: Good play value
Disadvantages: none
...as I can not find it in an on line shop. I think it will retail for about £15.
This bridge makes a good addition to that duplo train set, compatible with the Thomas set or the standard set of duplo .
I really like Lego Duplo let is a hardwearing conjoining brick. The bricks are fairly easy to put together the colours bright and attractive.
Educationally Duplo bricks are good. They encourage fine motor skills and imaginary play. Can be used for colour recognition and basic maths counting. Good for language development too. Remember to play with your child some of the time as they will benefit from this, use the names for colour count the bricks use words like high and low.
So would I recommend this Duplo Bridge? Yes...
