Advantages: Great place to take kids
Disadvantages: Not very big and a bit pricey for adults.

...The London Transport Museum recently completed a large scale root and branch refurbishment and reopened towards the end of 2007. I know this because I walk past it every day on the way to work and could witness the inch by inch progress being made over the last year. The LT Museum always had a reputation as a good place to visit. One of the first museums to offer a wide range of interactive exhibits it has always been a popular attraction, enhanced by its excellent location. However, despite again working on its doorstep a dozen years ago I have never previously been tempted to visit. I mean, it's just a bunch of trains and buses isn't it and I see enough of those commuting. Who transported the plot?

Advantages: Fast paced action scenes
Disadvantages: No plot

...I was interested in this film as it is based on an interesting premise, an ex-special forces man (aren't they all) operates as a 'Transporter' basically someone who'll carry and object, any distance, for a price. This could be getaway man, gun runner or basically anything else illegal. Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is making a very good living out of this in the south of France when he takes a job for Wall Street (Matt Schulze). He discovers his package is actually an Asian girl (Qi Shu) and he has been caught up in illegal slave trading. Cue the heroic and good hearted Frank kicking into action to save 400 slaves being brought into Marseilles. Disadvantages: Admission Charges, Limited Opening Hours

...The South Yorkshire Transport Museum can be found at Aldwarke, near Rotherham in South Yorkshire. Until recently this Transport Museum was located in the former Tinsley Tram Sheds between Sheffield and Rotherham. I visited here about 4 years ago and it was then called the Sheffield Bus Museum. Now it has relocated, it has been given a new name, the South Yorkshire Transport Museum. The former Sheffield Bus Museum first opened its doors to the Public ten years ago, in 1997. In December 2006 this Museum closed, re-opening at its present location a few weeks ago, in the Spring of 2007. This Museum has a collection of Trams and Buses that were once in use in Sheffield and the surrounding area. All of these have been fully restored and are in pristine condition. A history of transport which failed to move me

Advantages: Great location, good gift shop, well-prepared but limited exhibits
Disadvantages: Quite small, limited range, expensive for adult travellers without children

...The London Transport Museum occupies a prime space in the heart of Covent Garden and is an attractive building that manages to remain true to the historical architecture of the surroundings, while achieving a certain degree of modern and functional design. We decided to pay a visit as my girlfriend was able to track down free corporate passes to visit this attraction that seemed like a good idea for an afternoon out in one of our favourite parts of London. Ticket prices were: adults £10; senior citizens £8; students £6.00 and children under 16 get in for free. This is a nice touch, as it means that this is obviously a perennially popular destination for families and rightly so, as the chance to experience the 'olde worlde' charm of London's historic mediums of transport will largely appeal to the little 'uns and adults...

Advantages: Fast paced, action filled, stunts galore, martial arts abound
Disadvantages: Little story and no great acting... but who cares :o)

...Transporter was a very minor hit in the cinemas but obviously made good money on the release of the DVD as the eponymous 'Transporter', played by Jason Statham, returns for a second bout of high octane action. Transporter 2 is full of what you would expect? unbelievable car chases, innovative and exciting stunts, some cracking fight scenes, a villainess who spends most of her time in lingerie and a ludicrous plot? in fact everything that makes a perfect switch your mind off Friday night movie! My kind of Transport!

Advantages: Loads of action, sexy cars, great soundtrack
Disadvantages: None really!

...I absolutely loved this film!! I've been watching a lot of comedies lately but my friend bought me Transporter 2 for my birthday and thought I would watch it to make a change. I finished watching it about 15 minutes ago and had to come straight on here to tell you all about it!! This obviously is a sequel to the film The Transporter (hence the highly clever name Transporter 2!). Incase you haven't seen the first one and have no idea what I am talking about, The Transporter is Frank Martin played by Jason Statham (Revolver, Collateral, Mean Machine) and he is as the title suggests, a Transporter. He is paid to transport things from one place to another and the 'things' he is transporting are usually highly dangerous or something that somebody else wants and Frank therefore has to defend his life, and the 'thing' he is transporting...
