...was very expensive and I thought it would be cheaper to eat out in Belfast instead. There was also an indian restaurant and a bar in the hotel however I didnt try these either.
The staff were helpful and friendly and had a good knowledge of where the best places, clubs and pubs in Belfast were.
Cleaning staff didnt interupt you to clean your room until after you had checked out which is...

Hot to Trot
Advantages: Good starter and main, great service
Disadvantages: Disappointing dessert, plastic in my food
...that it was owned by Paul Rankin, a TV chef who regularly appears on Saturday Kitchen and other such shows. Personally I couldn?t care less about that, but it appeared to have some appeal to other members of the group!
As I?ve said, part of the reason we chose to eat here was the location. The restaurant is based on Shaftesbury Square, close to the centre of Belfast and part of the ?Golden Mile...

The Hidden Belfast with Urban Adventures
Advantages: Arthur Magee and his wealth of Belfast knowledge
Disadvantages: None
...If you want to really get to know a place you need to do two things. The first is to see it through the eyes of a local, the other is to put on a pair of comfortable shoes and hit the pavements. I first visited Belfast about six years ago; my second visit was in May 2011 and in the interim the city seems to have gone tourism crazy. Spend two minutes around the City Hall and you'll be approached...
