Pace Twin

Advantages: BItstream Record, Easy to use, moves TV schedules around, easy to fit bigger HDD
Disadvantages: Small Hard Disk as standard, Slightly dodgy software

...The Pace Twin was the first PVR on the UK market without a subscription. Reviewed with October 2004 software. It is a Freeview digital terrestrial box with two tuners and a 20GB hard disk. You can watch TV as normal with it, you can also record TV or Freeview radio, you can watch another channel while recording, or a previous recording, or even the recording you are currently recording. Due to this you can watch a commercial TV programme while it is recording and catch up by skipping the adverts. Or you can wact a whole evenings programmes on a half hour delay. There is a live TV pause which is great for watching BBCi (701 or 702) programmes - disabling the MHEG layer and the press red. The box is very well featured, and has plenty of connections. It supports digital text - it is not quite as fast as the Pace DTVA but...

My twins story

Advantages: Double the fun and great play mates

....In 1995 I lost a baby girl called Lauren she was still born which was a terrible time for me and think about her every day, but in the year 2000 I found out I was pregnant again, in the very early days of pregnancy I was very sick unlike my other pregnancies both of which where girls so I thought maybe I was having a boy. I remember one day myself and my ex-husband as he is now were out shopping and we saw a dad pushing his twins round the shop, I turned to my husband jokingly and said " wouldn't it be funny if it were twins" famous last words. I did actually go and see my doctor because there wasn't a day go by that I didn't feel sick, his reply was well maybe you are having twins as it is more common to have sickness with multiple births, I just shrugged it off and just put it down to plain old morning sickness. Arguably the most appropriately titled song ever, "Lazy Calm" begins with gentle washes of synth and guitar before being joined by a hazy distant saxophone. This goes on for a few minutes before a melody appears, underpinned by some reluctant beats as Elizabeth Fraser sings in that otherworldly voice of hers. They weren't Twins & No-one was called Thompson

Advantages: Some great singles
Disadvantages: Some of the lyrics are a tad downbeat

...Looking on Ciao I was rather surprised to find no-one had done a review of these amazing 80's artists so as an 80's child and a very big fan indeed I felt it was my duty to write a review so here it comes. Formed originally in 1977 with a massive 11 members the Thompson Twins (who of course took their name from the bumbling detectives out of artist Herge's Tintin comics) released 3 albums before really breaking big in both the UK & the USA. Into The Gap was their 4th release but the 1st with the "classic" 3 person line-up of Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie and Joe Leeway. Bailey wrote words and music, Leeway provided percussion (and some backing vocals) and Currie played xylophone and provided backing vocals. On this album all 3 members of the band are given writing credits but Bailey wrote pretty much everything on his own. So whats...

Review of Into The Gap - Thompson Twins

Mothercare twin alpine.

Advantages: Comfy for little ones, very easy to push, looks great!
Disadvantages: Large! not good for small doorways :(

...with the hood and its very easy to get back on again. 2 simple screws for the hood and velcro on seats so its quick and easy to do. The bar on the front comes off and thats great for when you are getting the little ones in and out saves time and means no struggle trying to get legs in and out. Tyres can be a pain as the are real tyres but i never had a flat tyre. I did find that if you kept them pumped up the pram handles great but if they start to go down it becomes a bit ropey when pushing but you get the pump with it so its no trouble to give them a quick pump up. The one big downside to this pram is its size! it is a large pram i had trouble getting it into shops,lifts even my home front door it is a pain at times but its so comfy for the children, alot of twin prams that fit through single doors have that added bonus by taking away...

Disadvantages: Bit off the wall for some people.

...Twin town is a movie that has both benefitted and detracted from by the comparisons with cult hit Trainspotting. While the tag obviously gave it some publicity and piqued many people's interest, it also left many with the wrong impression of what to espect when they see the film, leading to some dissapointment. The only similarities really are that both deal in graphic terms with the more down-trodden and morally-different elements of society and that both were produced in low-budget style with a high emphasis on charachter development over fancy film techniques.
