...One of their members, Cheryl Cole is making quite a successful name for herself on the solo market at the moment but it all began for her way back in 2002 with 4 other girls, called Girls Aloud. Love them or hate them, they have been around for quite a while now. Girls Aloud are a band, created on the television series Popstars: The Rivals. They consist of Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. Since their beginning they have achieved 20 consecutive UK Top 10 singles and two UK number one albums. According to an article I read, Guinness World Records lists them as "Most Successful Reality TV Group" in the 2007 edition. ...My personal expperiences with London Underground are fairly good. It is not a perfect service, the people tend to be nasty, and they keep raising the ticket price! BUT, without it, getting places would be a lot more difficult, and i suppose you get alot for the price, compared to trains to other places. Despite its problems, London Underground has a goodish service, or at least the only one available! THE TUBE LINES There are 10 main lines and 2 smaller lines, aswell as the DLR. Just say where you are and where you want to go and the operator will be very helpful and will give you the direct route via tube and/or bus. From Murakami's surreal to the real - Underground.

Disadvantages: Depressing and shocking as it charts real events.

...I came across Haruki Murakami randomly in my university library (well not him, his books). After reading and buying some of his novels I discovered Underground. For me, it was so completely different to his other books, this being a work of non-fiction and Murakami's usual writing style so far from reality, and I was not disappointed. The book revolves around Murakami interviewing a wide range of people involved with the sarin attacks on the Tokyo underground in 1995. With 5 attacks in the space of a few hours it is questionably one of the most horrific attacks in Japan. The unique aspect here is that there are so many alternative perspectives in the book.
