BT Vision - Cheap, Reliable and Extremely Entertaining.

Advantages: Hours and hours of entertainment (recorded telly and packages), cheaper than other providers
Disadvantages: Packages could be a bit more developed (except film) but then it would cost more.

...The BT Vision package was the only purchase I've ever made after being asked if I was interested in 'some information' on a product (usually code for 'at least 20 minutes of naff scripted sales pitch') and I'm so glad I did. Not only is the service a hell of a lot cheaper than it's competitors, but it's basic package alone offers more hours of entertainment than any other. I've been recommending this to family members and friends who are all on less reliable and more expensive packages with other companies. The Package With BT Vision you can either opt for one of the packages (Bronze, Silver or Gold) or you can 'build' your own package by picking the types of chanel that you would like. BT Vision - wonderful!!

With the Digital changeover we're all going to have to have Digital TV of some sort so BT Vision seemed the perfect product for me since I already have my telephone and internet with BT. BT Vision is essentially a freeview box with an 80GB hard drive and a recording feature which allows you to watch one programme and record another or record two programmes at the same time. You can also pause live TV, record at the touch of a button and record a whole series simply by selecting the programme from the programme guide and then pressing record twice. Looking To The Future With Clear Vision. (Vision Express)

Advantages: Make you feel special and ensure you are happy with your eyewear.
Disadvantages: More expensive than some other high street opticians.

I am a contact lens wearer which means I visit regularly both for sight tests every 2 years and for contact lens check ups annually. The store where I live in Chelmsford is bright and airy, and every time I have been there I have found it to be welcoming and friendly, and also extremely professional. They had a refit in the last 2 years and so it has a plush seating area for customers to wait for their sight tests and pre checks. With an up to date computer system there is no form filling in now, it is all stored and so takes all that initial work out of the equation. BT Vision on demand!! All in all a good buy

Advantages: plenty of selection, rewind, fast forward, pause and record live tv.
Disadvantages: No HD channels available!

As I can remember it was easy enough to install. At the beginning we had a few minor problems with connection and the picture kept jumping. We eventually got that sorted and we are now happy with it. There are so many great channels and programs to choose from, we are constantly watching films on bt vision. There is an option called 'picturebox' which has a good selection, eventhough there are some old films on there. If you would like to pay for films, you can choose from some recent films. ...BT Vision is alledgedly the future of TV. At first glance the 'V-Box' you get for Vision is quite a hefty piece of equipment. Its a lot bigger than your average Freeview box but it houses some nice features. There is an 80GB hard-drive to record from the in-built Freeview reciever. Its a dual-reciever, meaning that you can watch one channel and record another at the same time. Alternatively, if your not in, you can record 2 different channels at once. However, the main selling point of Vision is the On Demand service available.
