The wedding singer!! Amazing film!

...This was the first Adam Sandler film I ever watched when it first came out in 1998, I remember my sister having the film on VHS and we used to sit there watching it every time I stayed at her house. And ever since its been my all time favourite film. The Plot: The film is about a wedding singer Robbie, who is getting married himself, until his fiance breaks up with him on their wedding day, and dumps him at the alter...or just leaves him standing there more like. Robbie slumps into a deep depression, and even ends up giving up on his job, which he used to love. Meanwhile, Julie, who Robbie met briefly before his failed wedding. Is engaged to Glenn, is ecstatic when he finally sets a date, and she gets to planning her wedding. Julie and Robbie's friendship blossoms and Robbie slowly comes back around to weddings...

The Wedding Date To Remember.

Advantages: The chemistry between the charecters comes across very well.
Disadvantages: Quite predictable.

...When I first saw Wedding Daze advertising on the television , I thought it was another American Pie film , because it starred Jason Biggs. I then went around telling my friends that I was excited about seeing the new American Pie film , only to be told it wasn't. I never did go to the cinema to see it , but put the film down on my "To buy Dvds" list , but again I didn't get it. So the other week , when I'd ran out of dvds to watch I went and had a look through my sisters dvd collection , and saw sitting there on the shelf ; Wedding Daze. Double Wedding

Advantages: Addictive, a really good read.
Disadvantages: Can't think of any.

...This book, as the title suggests, centres around the double wedding of Jessica and Mike, and Carol and Gary, and the lead up to it. Jessica and Mike are crazy about each other. Carol has insecurities from the childhood that she had, so you feel she knows that Gary is not 'the one' but that she is getting married to finally have some stability and security in her life. The reason that she wants a double wedding with Jessica and Mike is that she is scared that Gary will pull out of the wedding otherwise. Carol finds out that she is pregnant on her wedding day, and it finally gives her strength to tell Gary to get lost. ...In my opinion The Wedding Singer is a fabulous feel good film. I first watched this film back in 1999 when I purchased it on VHS. It was one of my favourite films and more recently I purchased this on DVD so I could watch it again. The story of The Wedding Singer is based around two main characters. One of these is Robbie Hart who is the best wedding singer in town. He is happy, uplifting and always manages to save the day at weddings even when the best man makes a bit of an incriminating speech or when a teenager has a bit too much wedding champagne. Julia has just moved to the town to be closer to her fiancé Glen. She has got herself a job as a waitress with her cousin Holly at the hall where all the towns' weddings, birthdays etc get put on.
