...I've been wanting to see 27 Dresses for quite a long time, but have felt a bit put off by the mixed reviews I have read and heard about it. But I do love the romantic movie genre so I was quite sure I would actually like this film, so last night I persuaded my fiance to sit down and watch it with me. He wasn't overly keen on seeing it but I think we're both glad that we gave it a go! 27 Dresses tells the story of Jane Nichols, the woman who seems always to be the bridesmaid and never the bride. Jane has been a bridesmaid for 27 of her friends, wearing some truly awful dresses, and works hard for her boss George at a magazine. Jane's sister Tess reappears wite news of her own, causing Jane to re-evaluate her love life with a little help from newspaper columnist Kevin... I thought this movie was going to be incredibly soppy...

Advantages: Brilliant luxury hotel. Great location. Great value on late rate. Excellent dinner
Disadvantages: Can be expensive! Back to earth with a bump once you leave!

Jane has always been the bridesmaid and never the bride, she?s obsessed with weddings and has in fact been a bridesmaid 27 times, hence the title of the film. When she?s attending two different weddings on the same night, she bumps into Kevin, a cynic who manages to write the most romantic weddings at the same time. ...Ok; I'm hopeless at making firm arrangements. I was due at a leaving do for a colleague in London this last week; but had been uming and ahring whether or not I had the time to go. What really swung it for me was another 2 former colleagues who I haven't seen for years also decided they were going at the last minute. I offered to do the driving (seeing as I'm a non-drinker) and swing by Aldershot on the way past, pick them up and then drive onto South London. So in need of a hotel room (which, by this time, was tomorrow night) I was frantically searching the t'internet for a room for the night. There's a Premier Travel Inn in Aldershot, but on the numerous occasions I needed a room, they'd always been full (and was so in this case). The chances are that you will be landing at either the new airport or the older (but impressively) refurbished one in Bangkok. From the latter it is a two hour taxi ride to Pattaya. Fond memories in Brussels for keen travellers

...I have stayed it the Welcome many times in the past 18 months when in Brussels on business. It is located in the St Catherine district close to the metro and also to many good seafood restaurants. Other good eating places are to be found within 5 minutes walk including Thai and Vietnamese restaurants that line one particular street. The Grande Place is itself within 10 minutes walk. The hotel is a cosy and friendly place where the 15 rooms are named not in a numerical fashion but after different countries or geographical regions (or in the case of the Silk Road journeys). All rooms are decorated according to their name, many quite delightfully. The Strand Palace Hotel

...We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too. Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly. My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern. I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower. The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close. The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated...
