...We have not yet even chosen the wallpaper for the sitting room yet (badly needs redecorating after the building work has completely finished). But if we do it ourselves (probably will as little cash left) we will use solvite wallpaper paste made by Henkel adhesives.. This paste is available in my favourite store (B&Q) as well as many other D I Y shops. I expect we will use the extra strong all purpose solvite. It comes in a bright yellow bag or box enough for 5, 20 or 30 rolls of wallpaper costing £2.18, £4.48p or £4.98p respectively. This powder paste is mixed with water quickly and is ready to use in a couple of minutes. This paste contains a fungicide to prevent mould growth it is not really suitable for children to use. ...For my 10th birthday, I received a Pokemon Yellow game and Gameboy (Nintendo 64). I put the game in, turned on the Gameboy and started what would be a whole new animated adventure. You get to choose your name, your rival’s name and the names of the Pokemon you catch, but they can only be ten letters or symbols maximum. The aim of the game is to go through each of the ten towns, defeat as many of the trainers as possible, conquer the gym leaders and become a Pokemon Master (the title’s the same for females and males alike). It all depends on your skills to how hard it is or how long it takes, but it usually takes me a few months. (Long time for a game, isn’t it?) ...I got this game a few months ago expecting it to be a great game as said in magazines and at first i thought wow i have got a great game now i hardly touch it. It is quite good at the start as it is very challenging but it starts to get a bit boring and once you completed the pokemon league about 20 times. First this it quite similar to pokemon blue and red but you start with pikachu and no other pokemon well you can tell with it being called special pikachu edition. You cannot use the 99 items cheat on pokemon yellow for some reason and it only works for versions blue and red. This game is for the gameboy and you can trade pokemons with another player using the cable link. There are more than 100 Pokemon in existence. The more they fight, the more powerful they become. ...of these books is to encourage reading and imagination in the 4 to 8 year old female population. Rather than actually being hard work. I would say these are very much a pleasure read then a learning one. This, the third in the series continues the tles of Rachel and kirsty on their holiday away from fairyland. Fairyland is home to seven colorful sisters. Together, they are the Rainbow Fairies! They keep Fairyland dazzling and bright. But when evil Jack Frost sends them far away, the sisters are in big trouble. If they don't return soon, Fairyland is doomed to be gray forever!A trail of sparkly yellow dust lands Rachel and Kirsty in a very sticky situation! ...After the success of the first scent but heavily criticised of its feminine side, Ferrari decided to bring another fragrance in a yellow bottle and really makes feminine. I was disappointed with the yellow line and it put me off replacing my red bottle. The scent is very nice but the type that’s too feminine for men and not feminine enough for women. I guess the Ferrari camp really lost plot this time, but you be happy to know they brought a new bottle which is black but I haven’t had the pleasure of its scent.... Read review

...I don't often write book reviews but I really enjoyed (if that is the right turn of phrase) this book and thought I would share my thoughts. Half of a Yellow Sun is set in Nigeria during the 1960s and the title comes from the national emblem for Biafra. Whilst I, like many others of my generation, remember the harrowing television images of starving children during the Biafrian crisis, I have to confess my understanding of the background to that crisis was quite derisory. Although this book is fiction it is set during the now well documented political revolution and, judging by the dedication at the front of the book, it is a period time during which some of the authors forefathers perished. It provides a harrowing account of the impact that war can have on civilian life; touching on issues of class and race and of tribal hostility... Read review

...I’m currently in the process of collecting all my favourite vinyl albums on CD and finding some real bargains in the process. My latest acquisition at a mere £4.99 from Our Price is Elton John’s classic double album ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’. I can vividly remember buying the original version on a day trip to London, just before Christmas in 1973. I went with some of my friends on the train, no mean feat in those days from the Shropshire backwaters and bought it from what I believe to be Virgin’s first music shop in Oxford Street. Nearly thirty years ago – doesn’t time fly! And yet the music and the memories are as fresh as ever. Goodbye Yellowbrick Road was the peak of Elton's fabulous ride through the 70s.
