Ghd Thermal Protector - protect your hair!
Review of Ghd Thermal Protector Normal / Fine by
ivytoad
Advantages: Makes hair smoother, smells nice, protects!
Disadvantages: Maybe a bit on the expensive side - but worth it!
...When I bought my ghd hair straighteners I thought I would splash out and buy some of the hair products to match. One of the products I bought was 'Ghd Thermal Protector for Normal-Fine Hair'.
Since I use my hair straighteners pretty much everyday, I think its important to use some kind of product in order to try to protect my hair from the heat of the straighteners since it can be really damaging to hair over time. I was not disappointed with this product in the slightest and am really glad I bought it.
This specific product claims to protect hair from heat from straighteners and hair appliances for temperatures up to 200'c, and it also protects hair from becoming weak.
The bottle is plastic and comes in a metallic bronze/gold colour . The bottle is triangular in shape. On the front of the bottle there is a mosaic type design...

The Thermals - Body The Blood The Machine
Review of Body The Blood The Machine, The - Thermals (The) by
monkeymagic297
Advantages: Very catchy and thought provoking lyrics
Disadvantages: Songs all have a similar sound but not to a huge degree
...of honest emotions, and listening to it is therapeutic. Frontman Hutch Harris points out the ironies and contradictions within religion and politics that should resonate with anyone who has ever questioned these institutions.
Harris's take on religion and politics is the unrelenting theme on the Thermals' third full-length, but the lyrics are just a small part of this record's charm. Harris, along with original bass player Kathy Foster, wrote and played all of the music on The Body, The Blood, The Machine after original drummer Jordan Hudson left the band during recording. What they put together doesn't necessarily chart any new territory musically, but it pays homage to the early-'90s post-punk sound. The Body picks up where the Chapel Hill bands left off, and the music has the perfect touch of melody, power, aggression and humility...

GHD Thermal Protector for Dry Spray
Review of GHD Thermal Protector For Dry Hair 150ml by
crazyclaireyfairy
Advantages: Long lasting, quality name, improves hairs health when using heat
Disadvantages: High price
...This GHD hair styling product created as a thermal protector whilst using straightening irons on hair. I bought this along with my GHD Mk4's wondering how much difference it would make.
I have no doubts that using this is healthy for my hair.
At around £8.45 a bottle, in my opinion it is way over priced. I felt that I was paying for the name 'GHD' rather than a product which would improve the health of my hair after using straighteners everyday.
On comparing this product with similar from Treseme and Lee Stafford, I feel that the GHD thermal protector is not value for money. Lee Stafford's pink range also has a far nicer smell.
I believe GHD to be an extremely good quality product that is long lasting but it is possible to get very similar at a lower price....

Thermal Polished Skin to Look Smooth and Lovely
Review of Olay Regenerist Cleanser Daily thermal Skin Polisher by
shazzaspannered
Advantages: Gives a smooth feel and appearance to skin
Disadvantages: not to be used if you don't like products that warm up
...I recently used up the last of my facial wash product I was using (Biore warming Blackhead Cleanser - see my reviews for rating etc *shameless plug*) and even though I had been really impressed I had been reading great things about this new product on the market on a website and when I spotted it on half price at Boots well it would have been rude to have said no really wouldn't it.
So after reading the blurb on the back of the packet I picked up the 125ml tube of Olay Regenerist Daily Thermal Skin Polisher and stuck into my basket.
Now as I say I have read great reports from people on another website I go on about this product. How it makes skin look smooth and clear and fresh as a daisy. I wondered how much of the hype would actually be true!
Coming from the makers of Oil of Ulay the original beauty fluid which rebranded...

GHD Thermal Protector Spray
Review of Ghd Thermal Protector Dry / Course by
Spottydog11
Advantages: Works well, long lasting, protects the hair, UVA filters
Disadvantages: None
...I am an absolute fan of my GHD straighteners (as I think just about every girl that I talk to is) and in conjunction with them I also use the GHD thermal protector for dry and course hair. The nice thing was that a free bottle came with my GHD's when I first purchased them. That was about a year ago now and I have still not needed to buy a new bottle but it is nearly gone but I would say definitely a long lasting product. I use it every time I straighten my hair as well (twice or three times a week) so very good value.
The formula also comes in packaging for normal/fine hair and weak/damaged hair. They are £9.95 from the official website but you can buy them in hair salons etc. They are generally the same price though, sometimes a bit more expensive.
Basically the spray is designed to help guard the hair against heat damage while...

GHD thermal protector for normal- fine hair
Review of Ghd Thermal Protector Normal / Fine by
Lisab3410
Advantages: Smells great, non greasy, really does protect your hair, lasts ages
Disadvantages: Relatively expensive- no other negatives
...Ghd thermal protector is used to protect your hair from the heat damage caused by styling when using appliances such as a hair dryer or straightners. It can be used before, during and after styling.
It protects the hair from damage by locking its mositure and nutrients into the hair.
This particular pruduct I own is for normal- fine hair and consists of a light weight oil.
To use this product you should spray it on to clean damp hair, prior to drying and benefit from spraying each section individually when drying or styling.
I am really impressed with this product. I have used a number of products for this purpose and this is the only one that I have used that does not make my hair look greasy.
It really does protect you hair too. Since using the products I have noticed the difference in my hair. My hair seems to look...

Oh! So Thermal Protectors Do Work!
Review of Ghd Thermal Protector Dry / Course by
louiseypees
Advantages: Fantastic stuff - worth every penny
Disadvantages: None - don't let the price tag put you off though!
...important, then, that I use a good thermal protector. You'd think this would be obvious, right?
It may surprise you to learn, then, that I hadn't used one for ages before being given this free by my hairdresser (yeah, I'm still trying to work out why they gave me freebies too!). There is a reason for this - all the ones I'd tried had been rubbish! I'd had ones that made me greasy; some that made no difference whatsoever; some that made me static, but none that worked to stop my hair getting damaged. The worst one I'd ever tried was GHD's Iron Oil - this horrible product had left my dry hair like an oil slick, hanging limply around my face. I didn't hold out high hopes for this one then.
There are two ways to use this spray: the easy way and the time-consuming way. I choose the easy way (as do most hairdressers when they use similar products...

Smart printer for everyone
Review of HP PhotoSmart A717 by
yassarikhan786
Advantages: Uses (TIJ), no warm-up cycle, cost effective,
Disadvantages: Expensive photo paper
...printer, which obviously makes it portable meaning you can carry it around with you wherever you go, if you are the type of person who likes to show off and preview your gadgets amongst your friends and colleagues.
The HP PhotoSmart A717 uses thermal inkjet technology abbreviated to (TIJ). The advantages of using TIJ are that it is cost-effective, as there is no warm-up cycle or downtime when you are in the need of replacing an ink cartridge. You only replace the cartridge you need. A warm-up cycle is the time the printer takes in order to get ready for printing. This uses up significant amounts of energy over-time, but with the PhotoSmart A717 there is no warm-up cycle, thus reducing the amount of energy used.
The use of TIJ technology means that the PhotoSmart A717 is very easy to use. No special training is required to operate...

'Lex'cellent Desktop Printer!
Review of Lexmark Z 615 by
rowei
Advantages: Prints quickly; Prints clearly
Disadvantages: No USB cable; Need to buy to separate ink cartridges
...to the presence of new hardware. At this point, you need to load the installation CD and follow the instructions on the screen to install the software. Once the printer is fully installed, you can perform a 'test print' to make sure that everything is working properly.
Overall, I found the installation process fairly painless, although I had a few problems initially getting the printer to start printing. However, thanks to the troubleshooting advice available on the installation CD, I quickly resolved the problems I had. The onscreen help and instructions are very useful.
** PRINTING SPEED **
One of the things that attracted me to buy this particular printer was the speed at which it prints. For an everyday inkjet printer, its printing speed is excellent and almost as good as that for a thermal printer. It can print up to 14 pages per...
