Fisher Price Thermos Food Warmer
Review of Fisher Price Thermos Food Warmer by
kismet
Advantages: great for warming baby food
Disadvantages: bulky, heavy
...Once your baby starts eating more solid foot, then you need to consider meal times when you are out and about.
The Fisher Price Thermos Food Warmer is great for heating up either bottles or food.
FISHER PRICE THERMOS FOOD WARMER
Like its sister (Fisher Price Bottle Warmer), the thermos consists of a flask with a large blue lid. The lid is large enough to hold bottles like Tommee Tippee ones, or pots of food.
The thermos comes with one food pot, a handle to hold the food pot and a little spoon.
The food pots can be put into the freezer with food in.
You take the lid of the thermos off, and pour the water into it from the flask. The flask has a pouring spout, so that you only need to press a button, you do not need to unscrew it.
The idea is that the handle slots over the Fisher Price food pot, enabling you to lift...

This is not just food...
Review of Top 10 Foods by
StormCloud101
Advantages: Lovely
Disadvantages: Expensive
...what a burger is meant to taste like, i.e. of meat, not a recycled tyre. The bread is crispy, exactly as it should be. And the chips are gorgeus. They are claimed to be cooked on the premesis, and not from frozon. This statement is proven in the actual food. It is quite frankly how hamburgers should be cooked. Absolutely recommended.
5. Morrisons Own Brand Snack Pastas
Odd. Up until now, I've only mentioned cooked or prepared food, not ready meals...but hence.
I usually eat these when I'm out camping, which is not particularly often. As I have no accsess to a cooker or a nearby resturant, I always take along a Snack Pasta and a Thermos Flask.
Taste - wise, the actual product tastes like Knorr tomato soup with pasta pieces. And it is positively delicious.
6. Chocolate Chip Muffins (BB's)
These are just fantastic - the way...

Food, Food, Food, Food, Food, Food, Food, Food!!
Review of Top 10 Foods by
truthhurts
Advantages: scrummy and sometime good for you
Disadvantages: may need a few sessions at the gym after!
...the asian food, which i like dripping in chilli sauce) - and i hate ketchup (yes, i am fully aware that i love ketchup flavour crisps), but gravy i couldn't live without
2. Coffee
I, quite literally live off coffee/cappauchino/mocha.
As long as it has coffee in it!! I drink on average 18 cups per day, and get headaches if i don't drink enough!! (i know it may seem strange, but i literally go cold turkey if i go too long without a brew!! I'm addicted and i admit it, but i can't drink pop or juice, it makes me feel ill!!) What i do like, on the odd occasion when i feel the need for chocolate, i like to dip it in my coffee until the chocolate melts!!
1. Pastry
I love pies and pasties, (as long as it's savoury), i can eat them all day - all with loads of gravy (not quite all day, but i could eat them every day!)
I love mince and onion...

Bottle on the Go!!!
Review of Thermos Baby Bottle Warmer by
newby2
Advantages: sooo handy when out and about
Disadvantages: none
...Thermos Baby Bottle Warmer by Fisher Price
I love to be out and about with Jack and I think lots of fresh air helps him have a much better nights sleep. I am especially trying t walk off all that excess baby weight that I have put on but I have been finding feeding fairly difficult if I am just out for a walk. It is not too bad doing a feed if I have gone out to a restaurant or somewhere where they can give me a jug of boiling water so I can drop his bottle in but if I am out walking and he gets hungry then I was really stuck for what to do until that is I came across this thermos flask.
I was browsing items on Amazon that I could spend some vouchers that I had received and that is when I came across this. Fisher price have made a thermos flask that is pretty much the same as any thermos you would usually get but instead...

Food, and not so Glorious Food
Review of Foods that Harm, Foods that Heal - Reader´s Digest by
madamejojo
Advantages: good advice, makes interesting reading
Disadvantages: not good reading if you are paranoid about food
...I bought this book from Readers Digest some time back, not because I am paranoid about food stuffs, but more a curiousity factor.
The book is a 400 page A - Z guide to safe and healty eating.
It has been written with the help of more than 300 experts in nutrition as well as in orthodox and natural medicine.
It aims to provide simple but authoritative guide to food and ailments, giving you practical advice on how to improve and protect your health.
It covers everything from additives and allergies, and explains how you can ensure that you have a well balanced diet.
I love my food and if I like something I will eat it.(within moderation of course).
But I also have health problems and some of these problems can be helped by my diet.
For example I suffer with Eczema and it suggests I avoid milk and eggs, (this is just...

From Farm To Fork: The Modern Food Chain
Review of How do you shop for food? by
Claiiiree
Advantages: Eradicated some disease, some efficiencies
Disadvantages: Use of Fossil Fuels, Pollution, Destruction of the Ecosystem
...From Farm to Fork: The Modern Food Supply Chain.
▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼ 660;▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼& #9660;▼
The concept of a food chain is not new and the concept of "food miles" is something which more and more people are familiar with, as it is generally understood that the further that food has had to travel then the more damage is done to the environment. For many people the convenience factor of the supermarket and the perceived "choice" overrides the needs of the environment. The food chain itself is very complex and it comprises of many factors including Production at the farm (involving the use of pesticides, and other supplies); Food Processing and the Transport and Distribution network. These have changed quite...

Food Glorius Food
Review of Member Advice On Food Labelling by
KELLYLOUJ
Advantages: Know what you are eating
Disadvantages: May make you obsessive
...If you have ever followed a weight watching plan then you will know that understanding the labels on food items is important, and now the Government are pushing even more for people to research what foods they put into the trolley at the supermarket and gain a better understanding of some of the products that are present in our foods today.
Understanding Food Labels.
At first all I took notice of when reading the information contained on the packaging was the Kcal Factor and the saturated fat content but now I have begun to understand how much more important it is to look closer at the content.
It is actually an offence to falsely describe, advertise or present food and consumers are now protected by many laws.
Food labels are there to provide us with information so that we can choose which foods suit us best, but they can...

Food, food, food!
Review of Top 10 Foods by
grapesoda
Advantages: Tasty!
Disadvantages: Er... nothings good for you on my list!
...My list is going to seem terrible, as I am a junk food queen and I am ashamed to say... I really struggled coming up with a top ten, I mean, I like HUNDREDS of foods! But there you go, I managed to think of the TOP TEN, I could not live without...
10. CHUNKY CHIPS DIPPED IN MAYONAISSE
I LOVE chips. Especially big, fat chunky chips oozing in fat, yum, yum. The best chips I have ever tasted always seem to come from the seafront at Southend, though a close second are Harvester's chips. I cannot have my chips with mayo though, I know it's awful, as mayo is so fattening but I just cannot resist it! To me, chips and mayo is the ultimate comfort food!
9. BRICK LANE CHEESE CAKE
I have a love for Brick Lane in East London, for me jumping off the tube at Aldgate East is paradise as I am in a sea of Indian restraunts and 24 hour...

Food, inglorious food
Review of 10 Worst Foods by
torr
Advantages: Another challenge met, another op completed
Disadvantages: I cheated
...Yes, I am going to write a proper op one of these days, I promise. Or even, spurred on by Alma, something more than an op.
Meanwhile, spurred on by Paula Zeeman, there’s a challenge to be met. Write a food op, she says, containing the words: bucket, wallpaper, nuclear explosion, mushroom cloud, elevation, bathing a dog, stainless steel, league-table, dirty, history.
Reading this list of words, all sorts of themes suggested themselves. For example in French, a language composed almost entirely of culinary puns: seau one could talk about papier de mûres, bombe amẻricaine, beignets pour chiens chauds, sale de mer, etc, etc. But I’m not sure my French is up, or even down, to it.
Or one could go poetic, perhaps focussing on Byron, since he’s been in the news lately. “A marred bard, and dangerous to gnaw” as Lady...

FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD
Review of Food Ingredient Product Development by
alflavor
Advantages: Challenging yet rewarding.
Disadvantages: Money can be poor in the early years.
...Working in Food Ingredient Product Development? Well, the general scope of this seems pretty straightforward wouldn’t you say? On the surface you’d be right, but there lies beneath a huge web of career possibilities!
Food Ingredients – for the purpose of the opinion I am talking about seasonings, flavour blends and other similar products – these are products manufactured by a number of companies in the UK and throughout the world and are supplied to almost ALL food producers. Snack food flavours, meat coatings, meat seasonings, burger binders, instant soups and so on.
A little bit about myself first really, to set the scene and give examples.
I’m employed in the food industry as a ‘savoury flavour technologist’ that is to say I create and develop snack food flavourings and seasonings. The company I work for (in Milton Keynes...
