...REVIEW OF TESCO BLEACH Household bleach or sodium hydrochloride, is a product we all know and have probably all used at some time or another. Bleach is one of those products that seems to have dropped out of fashion in recent years in favour of more environmentally friendly brands and fancier household cleaners. I am however rather old fashioned and do prefer to use bleach for a variety of household chores, as it is a versatile cleaner, whitener and germ killing fluid. In these days of financial crunch, I decided to shun the more expensive brand I usually purchase and tried Tesco's own brand of thin bleach. At 28p for 2 litres, it was almost £2 cheaper than my usual buy, a well known bleach which currently sells in Tesco for £2.21 for 2 litres! With this in mind, to be honest I didn't hold out much hope for the efficiency...

Review of Bleach: v. 14 - Tite Kubo

Its thick cut pieces

Advantages: tastes good
Disadvantages: hubby does not like thick bits

The label proudly announcing it is a traditional Seville orange marmalade. It is sealed with a twist lid. The marmalade shines orange through the jar and the thick cut peel can be seen. Review of Duerr's Thick Cut Marmalade

Domesos thick bleach - sunfresh

Advantages: Kills all known germs and works
Disadvantages: Doesn't seem to last long

...I bought this product for 90 pence from my local supermarket. I don't know what made me pick it up as I am usually a stores own person. When I used it my toilet bowl was in a bit of a limescale state. To my suprise when I used this bleach I could actually see the bowl getting clean. The instructions state to leave overnight but in my house this is quite a hard task - having left for a mere 2 hours my bowl was sparkling. The bottle has a great child resistant lid and didn't seem to drip with use. It has very clear instructions on how to use with toilets, floors, sinks ect. On the whole I found it to be a very good, no excellent product but to me it just did not last long enough. It may be the thickest ever or maybe I just use too much. I havn't replaced it with the same again as I'd rather buy the shops own...

A bleach that really works

...At night when everyone has gone to bed and the chances are lower for anyone using the toilet is when I like to put bleach/toilet cleaner down the toilet. Basically because it gives it more time to work. During the day if you go to clean it in our home anyway, the minute you put the bleach down someone wants to go and it makes it a waste of time even thinking of doing the job. Advantages: Bleach is a great manga with awesome art

Review of Bleach: v. 16 - Tite Kubo

Bleach 15

Advantages: A great story and great art
Disadvantages: Too short for the money!

...The 15th volume from Tite Kubo's epic manga. The story picks up where it left off in the previous volume. The main character "Ichigo" spends most of the volume training to master a new power that will help him in his quest to save his friend Rukia. It does annoy me when the protagonist doesnt really do anything for a hundred or so pages but in Bleach it is different. There are many other battles going on through the story and the other characters are popular enough to maintain an interesting story. Ther is some great animation in this book. The battles seem to fly out of the page being wild and exadurated. Detail is retained however and it is a really impressive thing to see. I can only imagine how difficult it is to draw someone getting more powerful. This series centers around people gaining new levels of strength and speed...

Review of Bleach: v. 15 - Tite Kubo

It's Big, Thick and PINK!!!

Advantages: Attractive pink bottle. It kills germs.
Disadvantages: The bleach isn't pink!!!!

...Now I know what you're thinking.........PINK???? but yes that's what colour my bottle of bleach is. (get your minds out of the gutter please) This bottle of Domestos bleach is 750ml, it's a lovely girly cerise pink colour, and has a red screw cap which of course is meant to be child-resistant, but like most of these caps my 7 year old has no problems opening them! So keep it out of reach of children to be safe! The cap is opened by gently squeezing the side of the cap and turning at same time. Now the blurb on the front of the bottle tells me it is the "Thickest Ever" and it says "Pink Power Bleach" and it " Kills All Known Germs" Ooooh I say Pink bleach i'll have some of that....it'll look good down the loo! Life's a bleach

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: None that I can think of

...I am a lazy cow when it comes to housework - I take the minimalist ethos and do what needs to be done and no more. I am however a bit anal about cleanliness being a nurse and love a bit of bleach to make me feel like those bugs are at bay. I used to stick thin bleach down the loo most days but a couple of months ago thought I would try a bleach block instead. I bought Jeye's Triple Action Parozone Bleach block (50g) for 68p in Wilkinson's - it probably does not come any cheaper than that. It is called triple action because: 1) it claims to kill germs 2) it claims to prevent limescale 3) it cleans and foams. I can verify that it foams. Germs, well the little blighters are usually microscopic so I presume that even if they were neuked I wouldn't know for sure unless I got a microscope under the ring. Which I am not prepared...

I opened up the tub, and there was a large tub of the creme bleach, the accelerator powder, a spatula, a little mixing board, and some instructions. So good so far.
