Nokia E90 Communicator
Review of Nokia E90 Communicator by  cport80

Advantages: Web zoom, flip history, mSD slot, GPS & 3.2mp camera
Disadvantages: Price, price, no speel chqr, price, startup time and price

...Having recently reviewed the Nokia N810 internet tablet and discovered it is little more than an executive toy, I approached the E90 without any expectations. I'm glad to say that so far I have not found any unusual missing features. Yes unlike the N810 this device actually has a phone. And that's not all, there are even some productivity applications in the form of a simple word processor and spreadsheet. From the outside the phone appears to be rather large by modern standards, with a standard keypad and a function panel above it. There's a power switch at the top right. There are two buttons on the right side of the device, one activates the instant sound recorder function (and I suspect voice dialling as well), while the other is used to take pictures when in camera mode. Strangely this button doesn't automatically activate... Read review

The ideal solution
Review of Compaq Evo Thin Client T20 - Geode GX1 300 MHz by  benjamin15

Advantages: All users can have up to date software
Disadvantages: It has an low power usuage

...and vice a versa. Furthermore when using the internet the uploading of sites became very long and boring when there are multiple users on the network. Thirdly if the server goes down all the computer that rely on the server will not operate as they will not be able to log onto the network Advantage It provides low maintenance and allows improved manageability for any firm .Thin clients decrease hardware maintenance and improve application deployment. Also thin clients are highly reliable and can benefit any organisation that relies on a network of computers connected to a single server. (I.e. colleges,).In addition it is highly endurable and made to last the knocks and bangs or every day use, due to its solid structure. This has been proven by my college as not one has been broken yet in the two years we’ve had them. Also it allows... Read review

Use it as a Thin Client OS?
Review of Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Complete package by  ergot

Advantages: better then NTrigue which was the last Microsoft server base used here.
Disadvantages: Still some problems with Win 2000 and software (when used as a thin client OS)

...I work at one of the companies that was working with Microsoft fault finding and working with Windows 2000 Beta then the full release version on a thin client setup. Thin client incase you are not sure is where you have some servers (6 in our case) running the software and lots of dumb terminals (150 in our case). We had lots of problems at the start and it took microsoft US, ages to fix them (microsoft UK was rarely any good). The University where I work was due to hold one of the launch parties and quite a few staff were going to be invited. However due to the fact that they could not get the set up to work properly meant we were not used and no one got invited to any launch. Whats more the microsoft staff on TV on the launch day said, 'No one has had any problems with the software.'. This was not true. Most... Read review

The best Nokia can do? Or a Nokia N95 in disguise?
Review of Nokia E90 Communicator by  danielcm

Advantages: 512 MB microSD as standard, Integrated WLAN, HSDPA, Big and high-resolution display
Disadvantages: Size and weight, Price

...Ive worked for a telecoms company for the last 5 years and the Nokia E90 communicator is the phone that everyone is talking about. The Communicator is the latest addition by Nokia based primarily for executive use, basically another business phone with lots of features thats most people will never use. I first got my hands on this phone last week and its still as big and bulky as you expect the communicator series to be, even in its closed position you would struggle to put this phone in your pocket! Apart from the size of this phone I am hard pushed to find anything else wrong with it. The screen size and full-fledged keyboard is second to none (not a qwerty keyboard as I so often hear people saying). The E90 communicator interface has alot in common with the Nokia N95 apart from the fact it seems like 100 times quicker so... Read review

nokias wonder phone above all other competition
Review of Nokia E90 Communicator by  samj.kelley

Advantages: fastest processor in any pda phone
Disadvantages: bulky and heavy

...Well as always a bit of background first? The communicators from nokia were the first real pda phone being compared to basically nothing; they have stood the test of time to most other pda's. So it has some big shoes to fill, the 9500 and 9300 and before them were always the newest in technology, the cutting edge of mobile phones and pda's. The e90 has to be the best thing on the market at the moment for me no other phone has come near, and believe me on that because I work in phones so I've used the p1i. Design: Ok so looks well to be honest the front of the phone it looks like a picture of a nokia 6233 with a red background don't get me wrong this looks good but slightly qwerty. The phone opens out on some strong and expensive feeling brackets which kept it sturdy it also is available to be flat. So overall a good phone because... Read review

Time of Thin Blood: A Vampire RPG scenario
Review of Vampire The Time of Thin Blood by  Mazanostra

Advantages: Introduces radical changes in the Vampire the Masquerade universe
Disadvantages: Sadly, these changes might limit the Story Teller's and group's choices

...It would be very easy to tear this rather flimsy product apart. After all as I was reading through it on the first night after I bought it, my girlfriend turned to me and said, with more scorn than I have ever heard her use before or since, "You read a load of crap, don't you?" Well, I do, Time Of Thin Blood is not one of White Wolf's higher brow products and to make even the slightest of cases for it you have to be something of a White Wolf aficionado. So - the dilemma, wade in with boots flying or try and point out why a White Wolf fan might want to buy the book? Well the former is too easy and even though I'm not the biggest Vampire fan I do play it enough to be interested in some of the contents. Time Of Thin Blood is White Wolf's "Year Zero" for Vampire and is something of a teasing tart of a book, threatening to detail... Read review

Could this BE better??
Review of Sony MZ-E90 by  Damian-C

Advantages: Weight, size, quality and pose-ability
Disadvantages: Battery door

...I wanted the smallest and the best and I got it BIG TIME!! I was very surprised indeed with the improvement in the sound and weight of the MZ-E90 over the MZ-R55, it was VAST!!! I had the MZR-55 and was really pleased with the product but not with the size. I decided to buy a main unit and a play only portable. I have read reviews about the small size of the buttons and the quality of the headphones but to be honest I haven't pressed the buttons on the main case once. with regards to the headphones they have as much base and range as you could want. They have a clear, crisp tone and a detail that is second to none. The only down side could be the battery door, but with the life of the battery (I have recharged 3 times in 3 months - approx 1.5 hours per/day usage) this is a miniscule problem compared to the quality of the product... Skating on Thin Ice
Review of Wrigleys Extra Thin Ice by  Leigh1

Advantages: Fresh breath without having to dispose of gum
Disadvantages: Freshness doesn’t last as long as gum

...Wrigleys have brought out a product called Extra Thin Ice that is basically thin strips fuelled with Peppermint to freshen your breath. They are also available now in Spearmint Flavour. I got mine in Asda for 75 pence for 24 sugar-free strips. “What a great idea” I thought, “I can have fresh breath without having to dispose of the evidence”. I thought that it would be a great idea to give me that minty confidence I need before going to the dentist, etc. Of course I would still be brushing my teeth, but it would still ensure that my breath wasn’t minging if I had been eating strong smelling foods beforehand. The Packaging The actual strips are inside a handy clear plastic container that you flip open. On it there is a blue sticker that says “Extra” in white writing with a dark blue border. Below this it says “Thin Ice... Read review

A THIN CHICKEN?
Review of Kwik Save thinly sliced roast chicken by  weemam

Advantages: nice flavour and texture
Disadvantages: none at all

...Quick Save thinly sliced Roast Chicken I thought I would be better writing about healthy things to eat instead of ice cream all the time Ice cream oh! I! Do! Love! Ice cream! A shop I don’t go into much is Kwik Save. The main reason being I am fed up having to go back to the check out to complain that they have charged full price for the goods which are on special. I have been fobbed of as many times with lame excuses, so I only shop there now and again. Last week one of the special offers was a pack of Roast Chicken Looks like It’s in a see through tray about wait I’ve got my tape here 8 inch by 5 inches and has a picture of a chicken sandwich on the front Smells like It smells quite nice really, a right fresh chicken smell but not strong Taste like It tastes really nice. There are a lot... Read review
