ThinkCentre... Think Smarter
Review of ThinkCentre S50 8183 - P4 2.8 GHz by
RichardSlater
Advantages: Slimline, Well Featured, Looks Good
Disadvantages: No Firewire, Not thought out properly
...ThinkCentre... Think Smarter
IBM’s range of workstations have always been backed up with a long history, after all shouldn’t IBM be the experts, they did “invent” the PC after all! IBM’s ThinkCentre range represents IBM’s mid-range business workstations, enough power and multimedia capabilities to run the top end office and productivity, whilst keeping costs down to make the systems as affordable as possible. A hidden but equally important part of the ThinkCentres resides inside the computer and installed on the hard drives, these discrete design decisions and software packages that are shipped with the machines. I have recently installed 86 IBM ThinkCentre S50’s at work; this review is my attempt to distil my experiences into words.

THINK REALLY
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 9265 - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by
packerlist
Advantages: very good processor with unique vast features.
Disadvantages: the flat screen looks too fragile.
...Well I have to come with the review of PC computer. Lenevo think center is a brand of computer that never made waves in the computer market. But I decided to give it a try by buying it and wanted to get rid of the popular dell, IBM and apple computers for some time.
Well the lenovo think center computer has proved to be a bit different. Some features actually made me to purchase the product and are features like the administrator password, power on password, booting without mouse and key board, hard drive I/O control, usb control, serial port I/O control, boss Sequence control and diskette I/O control. These are the features that really made me to splash at about £250.60 on it.
The lenovo thinkcentre A55 9265 Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz computer has host of unique think vantage technologies at competitive price.
The processor...

The Trafford Centre MAJOR REWRITE
Review of The Trafford Centre by
Nameless
Advantages: Free to park, lots of shops and decent entertainment sections too.
Disadvantages: Gets busy at weekends, some very expensive places to shop and eat.
...NOTE : I have re-written this op almost completely as I felt I had more to add (and I'd already started it before realising I did it already - DOH)
The Trafford Centre may well be the shoppers idea of Paradise (Moose perks up her ears.) Opened in September 1998, and just a stones throw from where I was living at the time, the massive centre took shape on top of previously overgrown waste ground in Davyhulme, Manchester.
The Trafford Centre is among the largest shopping centres in Europe, but it has more to offer than just shops, as I’ll explain later.
Before I go on I’ll say two things which make me qualified to write this op, firstly I’m a shopaholic, and secondly with the centre on my doorstep for 3 years I used to go there amazingly regularly, so I know it pretty well. As a result I’ve reviewed...

The Galleon Centre
Review of Galleon Centre by
killiefan
Advantages: Good Value for Money, Swimming Pool
Disadvantages: Some of the staff's attitude
...& Fitness
There is a very good selection of Aerobics classes available in the Galleon Centre including Pilates, Ab Blast, Body Pump, Aerobics for the terrified, Circuit Training, Spinning, Box-a-cise and Tums, Bums & Thighs amongst a whole lot more. A lot of these classes are aimed at beginners so anyone can go along and join in. The only class that I have done is the Spinning class which is a hard workout done to music while on bikes. This class was very tough and I felt like I could hardly walk when I got off the bike.
3) Swimming Pools
The Galleon Centre has two swimming pools. There is a small, shallow childrens pool which also has a short flume going into it and there is also a large deeper pool which I think is thirty metres long. You can also learn to swim here as there are childrens swimming lessons for age three...

The Sealife Centre Not Much Else
Review of The Blackpool Sealife Centre by
Mickie26
Advantages: If you love sealife then you will probably like this
Disadvantages: Once you have seen it you have seen it all.
...to be quite dry. The milkshakes are nice though very thick and contain ice cream. There are only 2 flavours though chocolate and strawberry. There are a few kids rides in the café as well as arcade machines and a picture drawing machine.
The gift shop sells cuddly toys and souvenir's. The prices are relatively high though. You can get a 10 % discount at the shop and café if you fill in a quiz sheet which is aimed at children. It takes you through the zones of the sealife centre and asks you questions at various points throughout the zones. You can find the questions around the sealife centre and you have to scratch which answer off you think it is. If you fill it all in you can get your 10 % discount at the gift shop or café. You can use a credit card in the gift shop and the minimum priced spend is over £2.50 whereas in the café you...

Job Centre or Junk Centre?
Review of Job Centre by
fna2007
Advantages: Well you do get benefits
Disadvantages: Hard to get a job, poor service at times
...My Job Centre Review
My review is about the time i was on Job Seekers allowance and what kinda help i recieved. The first time you visit Job Centre you think it would help you greatly and i am sure everybody else feels the same way.
Customer Service
The advisers in Job Centre in the town i live in are just full of attitude, you come on time ten mintues early and you will stay be made to wait for another half and hour and if you dont come early even 5 minutes late they make you come after another 2 hours.Maybe this happens around other towns to i am sure not everybody who comes in to Job Centre as a person who claims is a so called "Street Thug".
What they offer you?
Job centre offer all sort of support to people out there people looking for jobs with Job Seekers Allowance and also give other benefits out there such as Child...

Abingdon Boat Centre - Yo Ho Ho etc
Review of Abingdon Boat Centre by
etala
Advantages: Brilliant for messing around on the water
Disadvantages: Rather reliant on the weather
...it safe and just hire the boat for the hour.
We did try to book the boat in advance but Abingdon Boat Centre doesn't do advance bookings, this was explained is for two main reasons, one they obviously cannot guarantee the weather and also they do not want to be tied to having hired the boat for an hour and then someone who wants the boat for the whole day walks in and they have to turn away more profitable custom. They did assure us though that with up to 8 (I think I'm correct here) Captain Type craft available the chances of one being available were very good.
We were fortunately that one the day we decided to go was a glorious late summer's day and we had lovely bright and hot sunshine for the duration of our voyage. When we arrived at the centre they were at least 4 boats moored up and one Captain Type craft just returning...

Shopping with friends at the MetroCentre Gateshead
Review of Metro Centre by
killip
Advantages: Just the right amount of variety
Disadvantages: Hard to navigate (but a laugh when you get lost)
...MetroCentre was, I believe, the first out-of-town shopping centre in the UK and it is, in my opinion, the best.
First of all, unlike Meadowhall or the White Rose, it is set quite a way out from Newcastle upon Tyne and so will not drag trade away from it as much as Meadowhall or the White Rose which are set right on the road into thier respective cities.
Also, MetroCentre (owned by Capital Shopping Centres plc) takes quite a pride in the image of the centre and gives it character without trying to pretend that it is something it isn't. Let me explain, As MetroCentre was the first out-of-town shopping centre, it didn't really have much to go on in terms of past experience of others, i.e. they were the experiment, so to speak. I think that they built MetroCentre in terms of the in-town shopping centres á la Arndale and have now...

WEST FIELD SHOPPING CENTRE DERBY
Review of Shopping Centres - General by
halk
Advantages: COSTLY
Disadvantages: OUT PRICING SMALLER OUTLETS
...experience, think about it?
Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus; Covent Garden and Canary wharf, all these have some amazing shops on offer.
Instead we carry on building worthless shopping centres on an enormous and costly magnitude.
We do not need this many.
I did mention Derby city earlier on and today the doors opened too the all brand new Westfield shopping centre and you guess it, its guess the shop competition all over again.
Boots; Debenhams; Costa coffee x 2; BHS; M&S; Matalan; Next; WHSmiths; Star bucks; Monsoon; Madhouse. I could go on and bore you with the same named shops all over again and all under one roof,
Woolworths and Sainsbury's, Derby has now got three Sainsbury's, yes three all within 5 mins of each other, providing the traffic is good.
The multimillion pound shopping centres against the local NHS hospital...

Heart of Manchester - Arndale Centre.
Review of Manchester Arndale Centre by
stuartackers
Advantages: City Centre - range of Activities, easy access. Friendly place to meet.
Disadvantages: Often very crowded, quite small compared to The trafford centre. Food Court is also a bit small.
...be thinking late 90s early 2000s. It really has been a vast change. The Image of public convenience has gone, and it is now a place to meet and have a great day out.
I've started going there a lot more often with friends, more so over shopping In Stockport Merseyway. Because it's easy to get too, there's a greater range of shops and of course, it's inside, it's perfect for all weather. Like last weekends freak rainstorm, when I was caught on Market Street in a shower.
The Arndale did surprisingly well to cope with the loss of C&A which was a major shop there; it has now been replaced by some designer shops and is now fantastic to go to.
It has all the major high street brands you can find in the Trafford centre and the recent expansion to the western side of the centre has lead to the opening of a massive NEXT, River Island, Nike & most...
