Finally a decent cordless phone
Review of Panasonic KX-TG 8122 by
JayPineapples
Advantages: Clear sound, advanced features, helpful instructions
Disadvantages: none so far
...First I had a BT studio phone - rubbish. Then I had a Binatone - even worse. I was seriously considering going back to a corded model when I saw a favourable review of the Panasonic KX-TG 8122 Twin Colour DECT Phone, my sister also had an earlier Panasonic model and spoke very highly of it.
Ligo Electronics had the model on offer at a fair price and promised fast delivery so I ordered it from them.
3 working days later the phones arrived as promised and I put them on charge. As soon as I was able to use the phones I connected them and started putting numbers into the memory following the easy to understand instructions, it is also very simple to transfer the phonebook from one handset to the other. I like the feature that allows you to categorise your phonebook, thereby limiting the contacts that can disturb you after a certain time...

ThinkCentre... Think Smarter
Review of ThinkCentre S50 8183 - P4 2.8 GHz by
RichardSlater
Advantages: Slimline, Well Featured, Looks Good
Disadvantages: No Firewire, Not thought out properly
...ThinkCentre... Think Smarter
IBM’s range of workstations have always been backed up with a long history, after all shouldn’t IBM be the experts, they did “invent” the PC after all! IBM’s ThinkCentre range represents IBM’s mid-range business workstations, enough power and multimedia capabilities to run the top end office and productivity, whilst keeping costs down to make the systems as affordable as possible. A hidden but equally important part of the ThinkCentres resides inside the computer and installed on the hard drives, these discrete design decisions and software packages that are shipped with the machines. I have recently installed 86 IBM ThinkCentre S50’s at work; this review is my attempt to distil my experiences into words.

Extremely Over Priced PC
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 9265 - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by
saraharcher
Advantages: The case dosn't look too bad
Disadvantages: Addequate but outdated CPU
...lower than Lenovo is 3Ghz upwards. Quite how the ThinkCentre A55 hopes to even try to compete with other manufacturers offering 3-4Ghz CPU's with a price tag of around £50 less is somewhat of a mystery. Having said that, as my mate has proven with flying colours.."there is one born every minute"
The memory installed is on a par with most budget PC's and is supplied with 512Mb DDR II SDRAM. Thankfully memory these days is a relatively cheap upgrade option.
The hard drive installed again is somewhat below acceptable for the price tag. The A55 is supplied with an 80Gb hard drive. Although this size of drive is acceptable, for £400 you would expect something around 100 -120Gb in size.
The graphics card is on-board as is the norm with all budget PC's. The graphics memory is shared with the PC's RAM and is adjustable via the PC's Bios...

THINK REALLY
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 9265 - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by
packerlist
Advantages: very good processor with unique vast features.
Disadvantages: the flat screen looks too fragile.
...Well I have to come with the review of PC computer. Lenevo think center is a brand of computer that never made waves in the computer market. But I decided to give it a try by buying it and wanted to get rid of the popular dell, IBM and apple computers for some time.
Well the lenovo think center computer has proved to be a bit different. Some features actually made me to purchase the product and are features like the administrator password, power on password, booting without mouse and key board, hard drive I/O control, usb control, serial port I/O control, boss Sequence control and diskette I/O control. These are the features that really made me to splash at about £250.60 on it.
The lenovo thinkcentre A55 9265 Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz computer has host of unique think vantage technologies at competitive price.
The processor type...

Haggle over the finance APR!!
Review of CarCraft Leeds & Bradford Car Supermarket by
bllward
Advantages: Huge range of cars
Disadvantages: Disinterested sales team
...I usually make snap decisions about things I probably shouldn't, and buying a car was one of them. I saw the car (a 51 plate Ford Focus) on the website on the Saturday night, and went in to see the car on the Sunday.
After a quick chat with my girlfriend, I decided to go ahead with it.
The salesman didn't seem to interested, and as soon as I said I would buy the car, he took my details and that was that.
Then I went to get my detaiuls taken for finance.
This was the hard part, as I was waiting for more than 4 hours in the waiting area.
The financial consultant I talked to was very helpful. He showed me the terms they could offer. I had a quick look over it and said yes. He asked me if I was sure, and then pointed out the APR of 24%. He advised me not to go for the deal, and that it would be cheaper for me to go elsewhere for finance...

Boiled, Scrambled or Fried
Review of The Eggheads by
CarlG
Advantages: Intellectual, Intriguing
Disadvantages: A Little Boring
...I'm quite fond of quiz shows and will watch most including The Egg Heads. The show has been running since 2003. The shows format hasn't changed and neither has its channel (BBC) but it time has, originally it was aired at 12:30 but now it is shown at 5:30 pm - a slightly more prominent slot in my opinion.
The shows format is very simple, but not overly exciting (to say the least) - a normal amateur 5 person quiz team take on the ultimate and slightly eccentric quiz team (The Egg Heads) composed of
Chris Hughes, the rural, steam trainer fanatic (a winner of master mind and international mastermind in the 80's, and Brian of Britain in 2005)
Kevin Ashman, the middle of the road man (a Mastermind, Brian of Britain, and 15-2-1 winner)
CJ De Mooi, the young cocky one (a 51-2-1 winner)
Daphne Fowler, the one who...

Snugburys a delight!
Review of Snugbury's Ice Cream Farm by
KELLYLOUJ
Advantages: Variety of Flavours, Reasonable prices, Suitable opening Hours
Disadvantages: Not much to see other than a field of cows and statues made out of hay
...Having been stuck at a loose end on a saturday Morning my boyfriend and I decided on a drive to Nantwich to have a walk around Bridgemere Garden Centre and Stapeley Water Gardens. We had passed Snugbury's which is located on the Chester A51 outside Nantwich a few times but never stopped to take a look but this weekend I managed to persuade him otherwise, plus I was hungry.........
I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of Icecream but Snugbury's is delicious, they have over 30 flavours that are constantly changing and cost GBP1.50 for a large sugar cone and 2 scoops of ice cream. I opted for the banana caramel option which was heavenly not too sickly, my boyfriend however chose the lemon meringue flavour and also stated how nice the flavour was.
It is free to visit Snugbury's farm and not only do they serve cones but they also sell...
