ThinkCentre... Think Smarter
Review of ThinkCentre S50 8183 - P4 2.8 GHz by  RichardSlater

Advantages: Slimline, Well Featured, Looks Good
Disadvantages: No Firewire, Not thought out properly

...ThinkCentre... Think Smarter IBM’s range of workstations have always been backed up with a long history, after all shouldn’t IBM be the experts, they did “invent” the PC after all! IBM’s ThinkCentre range represents IBM’s mid-range business workstations, enough power and multimedia capabilities to run the top end office and productivity, whilst keeping costs down to make the systems as affordable as possible. A hidden but equally important part of the ThinkCentres resides inside the computer and installed on the hard drives, these discrete design decisions and software packages that are shipped with the machines. I have recently installed 86 IBM ThinkCentre S50’s at work; this review is my attempt to distil my experiences into words. WHATS IN THE BOX? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When the box arrives at your door, or in my case three... Read review

Quality Of Life
Review of Panasonic DMR-E 50 by  sghawken

Advantages: Tremendous quality, and great customer services
Disadvantages: No VCD or MP3 playback

...personal viewing. I purchased the Panasonic DMR-E50 from Ebay priced £349 which was a massive drop in price as the same DVD recorder was being sold at the now defunct high street store Dixons for £549. The DVD recorder arrived it had the traditional DVD recorder facilities as most others did. It recorded in the far preferable - format, and featured a time shift option should I need it (more information on both of those in a bit). I immediately started converting all my DVD's across to DVDR format. I had got roughly 400 movies through my collection when I noticed that the machine was starting to muck about. I contacted the supplier who told me to go away in "short jerky movements". So I was left with one alternative, I must contact Panasonic. They asked me lots of questions and told me that I probably would not qualify under... Read review

Extremely Over Priced PC
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 9265 - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by  saraharcher

Advantages: The case dosn't look too bad
Disadvantages: Addequate but outdated CPU

...significantly lower than Lenovo is 3Ghz upwards. Quite how the ThinkCentre A55 hopes to even try to compete with other manufacturers offering 3-4Ghz CPU's with a price tag of around £50 less is somewhat of a mystery. Having said that, as my mate has proven with flying colours.."there is one born every minute" The memory installed is on a par with most budget PC's and is supplied with 512Mb DDR II SDRAM. Thankfully memory these days is a relatively cheap upgrade option. The hard drive installed again is somewhat below acceptable for the price tag. The A55 is supplied with an 80Gb hard drive. Although this size of drive is acceptable, for £400 you would expect something around 100 -120Gb in size. The graphics card is on-board as is the norm with all budget PC's. The graphics memory is shared with the PC's RAM and is adjustable via the PC... Read review

Just about the business
Review of Nokia E50 by  dobieg

Advantages: Versatile Pda with telephony functions
Disadvantages: Patchy Bluetooth support

...likely to attract the multi billion dollar investment which handset manufacturers need to stay solvent. In a market driven economy, the only way to succeed is to offer new and innovative products. NOKIA have aimed the 'E' series fairly and squarely at the business market. Instead of carrying a pager, mobile telephone, digital camera, MP3 player, PDA and goodness only knows what else, they have provided a range of handsets which combine all these functions and more. The E50 is the current entry model of the range. As mentioned before, it isn't so much a phone with frills, as a PDA with connectivity. It's true to say that many of the 'native' functions have been supported by handsets for several years; address book, contact list, calendar etc, where the E range differs is that it runs on a 'proper' operating system, so... BEST NOKIA EVER!
Review of Nokia E50 by  AnatolyDav

Advantages: Design,features,price,battery life,screen,controls,quality!
Disadvantages: no radio :-)

...After using Nokia E50-2(with cam), you understand, what does "quality" mean.. This phone has EVERYTHING anyone needs: high-quality camera, really good dilplay , good battery life, nice player, and, moreover - no PROBLEMS! Onest, this is the first phone I trust to, and first phone, that has no gliches. After using Nokia 6680, N70,N71 and N73, I was totaly disgusted with Nokia, cuz every of these phones had software problems, espetially N series. Let`s get to buisiness. PROS: 1.Most convenient and smallest S60 Nokia smartphone 2.Software works awsome! No problems in 7 months! 3.Battery life is really good for smartphone! 4.Excellent camera! 5.Price is more than affordable! 6.Design is suitable for everyone and everythig(I mean clothes). 7.Good player! 8.FANTASTIC WEB browser! The best I`ve seen! fantastic!
Review of Nokia E50 by  watashiki

Advantages: looks and feels great, better software than standard Nokia phones
Disadvantages: uses the new style small charger, no wifi

...I recently upgraded to the Nokia e50 from a 6230i and have been very impressed so far. This is my first series60 phone and it has taken a bit of getting used to, but I'm finding it to be very userfriendly. The Good - Very smart looking, metal back, nice solid feel - Nice screen, big and high resolution - Camera takes nice photos - User interface is much more configurable - Good battery life - Very nice sound quality - Doesn't seem to fill up with fluff in your pocket - Lets you choose who to send a text to before writing it - no more accidentally sending a text to the person you're slagging off! The Bad - New style Nokia charger so can't use the old ones without an adapter lead - Can feel a bit sluggish while loading apps - Found a software bug with the contacts where it puts surname then first name on received... THINK REALLY
Review of Lenovo ThinkCentre A55 9265 - Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz by  packerlist

Advantages: very good processor with unique vast features.
Disadvantages: the flat screen looks too fragile.

...Well I have to come with the review of PC computer. Lenevo think center is a brand of computer that never made waves in the computer market. But I decided to give it a try by buying it and wanted to get rid of the popular dell, IBM and apple computers for some time. Well the lenovo think center computer has proved to be a bit different. Some features actually made me to purchase the product and are features like the administrator password, power on password, booting without mouse and key board, hard drive I/O control, usb control, serial port I/O control, boss Sequence control and diskette I/O control. These are the features that really made me to splash at about £250.60 on it. The lenovo thinkcentre A55 9265 Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz computer has host of unique think vantage technologies at competitive price. The processor... Read review

Yamaha FS1-E 50cc moped, 1976
Review of Rockhopper A1 FSR by  cashman44

Advantages: Great handling, build quality, fast for its time.
Disadvantages: To find one now it will cost you a grand !

...electricuted when it rained by pressing the horn! The competition. At the time we had all been taken to school on the local clapped out coach, dribbling out the back window watching the older boys with their shiney new mopeds (what hero's we thought ). Now we were the hero's , all 8 of us slip streaming the coach home,( what twats we were) all around me were fantic super T' s Ti's, caballeros, Garrelli 50's, Honda ss50's. All these bikes , barring the Honda, were faster than the Yam' on the flat (chin on tank ! ) 45 mph, but the great thing was, as soon as we all got to a hill, my position in the coach race went from...2nd last , to first place, due to the design of the Yams engine . The FS1-E had a rotary disc valve induction system, totally different set up from the rest, the 4 gears ratios were longer than the Fantics, ( wa,wa, wa, up... Read review

Such a slow phone!
Review of Nokia E50 by  marcberryman

Advantages: Classic design
Disadvantages: Slow to operate, phone casing easy to scratch

...This phone is very slow in operating i.e. when navigating through it's menus, but does have some benefits for a business user. I regularly use the WAP browser to access webmail and facebook mobile. The memory is good and I have not deleted a t ext message yet and there are hundreds on there. The camera is good but nothing special. Sound quality is reasonable and the design is very slim, although it is not the lightest of phones. I find reception is not the best in some areas, but this is what I have come to expect from phones with internal antennas. Applications included with the phone are a bit more advanced than the usual Nokia suite of tools but really only business users with organisations who choose to make full use of these will appreciate them....
