***X series - Versatile & Flexible***
Review of Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Tablet 1866 - Pentium M 758 1.5 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  mightyd

Advantages: Swivel Hinge, Handwriting mode, Fingerprint Recognition, Awesome Features
Disadvantages: Expensive

...hundreds of passwords but instead you now have a fingerprint, which nobody can forge, copy, or use, unless someone somehow manages to chop your finger off. But I believe that's very unlikely! The colour is sleek and quite nice although it would be better if it was available in a silver colour. And weighing approximately 1.8 kilograms, which is less than 2 bags of sugar, you can easily say that this is extremely light and if you want to take your PC tablet away from home, you easily can with no difficulty at all. The dimensions are stated above but to get an idea, it is slightly larger than an A4 piece of paper which couldn't be more of a perfect size. *****Processor***** Processor ………………………………………………………….Intel Pentium M 758 1.5 GHz Core Voltage Technology ………………………………………………………….Low-Voltage (LV) Data Bus Speed... IBM ThinkPad X41
Review of Lenovo ThinkPad X41 2525 - Pentium M 778 1.6 GHz - 12.1" TFT - with X4 UltraBase by  tartupets

Advantages: Extreme performace and user experience
Disadvantages: 128 mb graphics memory low performance

...IBM Thinkpad x41 with the Ultrabase is the best and most powerful laptop of its kind. 1.3 kg and with the 8 cell battery up to 6 hours operating time, it is mostly suited for travelers and collage students Instead of the standard 512 mb of RAM, ive got the 1.5 GB installed, so it is faster and has better performance. It has the touchpoint interface, which is the second best after the mouse because it is more precise than the touchPad. The ThinkLight HDD protection is useful when you are traveling by bus or train because it suits itself to repeated bumps and allows the HDD run even with heavy vibration. As suited to IBMs, there is a little light in the edge of the monitor, which is very good in the dark. Especially I like the location of the processor cooling vent, which is on the side and keeps the processor cool even... Read review

iBook with a Windows OS? Yes way!!
Review of Toshiba Portege A100 - Pentium M 1.4 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  kenny_khaw

Advantages: light, fast, stylish, great sound, 4 usb ports, SD card reader, 3 Years International Warranty
Disadvantages: expensive, no firewire, poor viewing angles, cramped 4 usb ports

.... It is still expandable up to 2048Mb, and of cos, it's a DDR RAM. It's faster than the SD RAMs, duh! Compared to the iBook which can only support up to 640Mb Ram, this one is surely far ahead! The Hard disk capacity is claimed to be 40 GB 4200 rpm S.M.A.R.T. but it seems to only have around 37.9GB when i last checked it. The HD is from Toshiba( also used by Apple) and is shock proof. This model also comes with a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive with a maximum speed of read 24x CD-ROM, 24x CD-R, 12x CD-RW, 8x DVD-ROM, 4x DVD-R, 4x DVD-RW, and writing is at 24x CD-R, 4x CD-RW. There's no burning capabilites for DVDs. It's just a combo drive. Burning CDs nw can be much faster compared to the external Benq CD burner which i previously had. The screen display size stands at 12.1 inch and is a TFT type colour display, with around 16 Million maximum... Read review

IBM Thinkpad X30 Pentium 3 1.2 ghz USED.
Review of ThinkPad X30 2672 - PIII-M 1.2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  safariman72

Advantages: Small, light and well spec'd
Disadvantages: Replacement parts prices.

..., Built in modem and network card, 1 x infra-red port to name a few. Yes it could probably do with more USB ports, even using the docking station doesn't give you any extra. It comes with a USB dvd-rom\cd re-writer. A USB 3.5 floppy disk drive can be bought for about £10. COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS My only complaint is when it has been on for a while the underside gets quite hot and for all it doesn't effect the performance of the unit, it can get quite uncomfortable at times. My concern is a design one, if you have it on your knee, bed or anywhere that isn't a flat surface, then the air entry hole for the cooling fan on the processor can be blocked which isn't good. RECOMMEND OR NOT That would depend, it is a great little laptop. It would be suitable to the experienced user and for a beginner for its ease of use and ease... Read review

To Infinity and Beyond, Toshiba R200 Laptop
Review of Toshiba Portege R200 - Pentium M 753 1.2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  skrg28

Advantages: Build Quality, Light, Small
Disadvantages: None as yet

...to the small screen but I have no had any woes there either. Leaving it running for hours on end seems to have no effect, no noisy fans and no excessive heat. If you dig one of these out in the aiport lounge then your a god. The one that really got me was the warranty. You get a full 3 year manufacturers warranty with the latop, something you would normally have to pay extra for from other manufacturers. Toshiba suppor is always 2nd to none for laptops. You also get a full set of manuals already installed on the PC along with a variety of backup applications that run on your behalf. Beautiful
Review of Toshiba Portege M100 - Pentium M 1.2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  johnsy32

Advantages: Everything a laptop should be
Disadvantages: Uses an eraser head mouse pointer (not the favourite choice of everyone)

...without having to wait. Software ********** This personal computer comes with a bundle of software and a Toshiba Utility disk, which is helpful when you decide to wipe your hard drive clean and freshly install Windows XP, as some of the drivers that are needed are found on that disk. Windows XP is the operating system, and the mix of latest mobile technology and operating system coding, the two run together smoothly and make using this laptop fun and efficient. The laptop comes with a PDF document, which is very useful in helping make the most of your new Portege M100. Technical Information ************************* Here is the technical information that I found at the Toshiba support web site. ***CPU and Memory*** Processor Class - Pentium M Processor Speed - 1.2 GHz Mobile Technology - Intel Centrino Installed Memory... M200
Review of Toshiba Portege M200 - Pentium M 755 2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  mudmank

Advantages: Overall quality, specification.
Disadvantages: I cant think of any.

...Basic overview: The portege m200 is a nifty little item. you can use it as a normal laptop but also have the ability to swivel the screen round and make it lie flat like a tablet. it comes with a tablet pen so you can write on the screen whenever. I will say that in this review i am going to give my opinion and what i have experienced, i am not going to list all its features, just things that i love and the not so good parts. first of all, it is a well rounded machine, i can play call of duty 2 on it which is impressive, my 2ghz celeron desktop had problems running that. the graphics card will not dissapoint, and the 2GHZ centrino is a blessing, i can do lots on the laptop and not experience any problems. I was dissapointed by the fact it came with no internal drives, mine came with an external USB floppy drive but i am... Read review

The T42 - a good all round machine
Review of ThinkPad T42 2373 - Pentium M 735 1.7 GHz - 14.1" TFT by  foxuk

Advantages: Slim, very light, IBM cachet, good screen, fantastic keyboard
Disadvantages: Build quality perhaps, ticking hard drive

...OK, as I write this, the T42 already has its successors in the T43 and T60 which are in all likelihood higher spec machines, but the T42 has a lot of bang for the money. First off, as a normal user, the 1.7GHz P-M processor is more than adequate, being equivalent to something close to the Pentium 4 3.0GHz and therefore on par with the desktops of the common people. Being an IBM, you may also choose to have a port replicator which would allow you to just slot your machine in at home and not having to worry about connecting wires etc and you can enjoy more "desktop-like" features, such as possibly a bigger screen, a mouse etc. Amongst other good features, you enjoy a 512MB in-built DDR memory, which is enough for most daily uses and can be upgraded to a whopping 2GB. The only gripe I have with this is that to get to 2GB would entail... Read review

For Business purpose
Review of ThinkPad R50 1829 - Pentium M 1.5 GHz - 15" TFT by  waiho

Advantages: Stable
Disadvantages: Heavy

...I have been setup 30 piece of IBM R50 thinkpad for a new company. Basically what happen is I encounter IBM have thier own software install when the brand new R50 delivery to the customer. The most rediculors things is the IBM software use up 3 GB space which not inluded the Operating system. Which mean this R50 come with 40GB harddrive, user only will have 30GB to use, the rest is software usage. Come to the point of hardware issue. This product come with centrino 1.5 and built-in WIFI. Everything is solid look and reliable. Boot up is not as fast as what you think after all the personal software installation which use for startup program. Make you feel like not a 1.5 centrino product. I do not advice home user getting this laptop is because you will get bored of the look. If you insist to get a IBM. I would advice you to get... Sony vaio z1sp
Review of Sony VAIO Z1SP - Pentium M 1.5 GHz - 14.1" TFT by  cutmore

Advantages: very light at 2.15kg
Disadvantages: none

...Although they both carry the Centrino badge, Sony’s latest VAIO couldn’t be more different from the Toshiba Portιgι R100. While the latter dumps every scrap of ballast in its bid for ultra-light status, the Z1SP weighs in at a portly 2.15kg. This is far from useless bulk, though – there’s more laptop here in whichever direction you look. The Z1SP boasts the faster 1.5GHz version of the Pentium M processor, it has twice as much memory and twice as much hard disk – there’s just about twice as much of everything, in fact. Except battery life – you get three times as much of that. Sony has opted to keep the size and spec at the top end of the VAIO range, but has used the Centrino architecture to ramp up the endurance to almost a whole business day. This is despite the 14.1-inch screen and internal DVD/CD-RW drive. DESIGN ELEGANCE VAIO... Read review
