..., mouth watering Thornton's shop. I hadn't lived here long and hadn't really paid much attention to this part of the shopping centre but I was glad I had found it as I needed cheering up. I looked up and down the neatly laid out shelves supporting Fudge, Toffee and Chocolate, trying not to drool! ..., a sweet and distant memory from childhood. I had to have a bar and quick! Just to get your taste buds tingling there was also a selection of other delights, such as mint coconut ice, brandy fudge, rum and raisin fudge, clotted cream fudge, fudge wrapped in nuts, coffee fudge, strawberry fudge, chocolate covered fudge, strawberry coconut ice, and an array of honeycomb bars. Brilliant if you have a sweet tooth! I have always been a great lover of fudge and Rich is a bit of a connoisseur, (read that as snob) when it comes to the sickly stuff. He favours the clotted cream variety and the crumbly stuff you get in Thorntons, whereas I am not fussy. ....00 which sounds alot until you compare the weight to that of another brand i.e. Thorntons. The website delivery is very quick indeed and costs about £5.00 which again seems alot until you factor in that it usually comes the next day and the weight of the box (fudge is very heavy). If you can visit a shop its very worth while as you get to see the fudge made by hand every day. The website has alot of information about the fudge and its shops. They also do a special wedding favor service. Another plus of the website is that you can get dairy free fudge which can be quite hard to find in the highstreet. Usually they only do this in toffee or vanillia however for special occassions such as Easter they do special diary free boxes. ...let melt over my tongue over a period of about 5 to ten minutes. A single fudge finger can last me up to an hour in this manner so pretty good value for money. Also quite satisfying as this method allows for more of it’s sweetness to be tasted so after a single finger you don’t feel the need for more choccy treats. Okay so it may not be high quality fudge that you can buy from Thorntons and the like but it does taste nice and therefore I recommend these to all adults and kids alike. However adults be warned attempting to satisfy a kid in today’s era with a single fudge bar is unlikely to get you anywhere unless it comes attached to the latest PS2 game !!... Read review

...Experience:~ My experience with toffee started when I was a young child with the Dainty chew and you got 2 for a penny. These were delicious and every kid loved them but one thing about them they did make your jaw ache after eating a whole 2p worth. Remember the Dainty being chewy whereas some other toffees where brittle, but the chewy type was my preferred choice. Do not think that I've tried toffee since my last day at school when my brothers hand me downs went in the bin and started my new job the following day. Thorntons:~ Thorntons make chocolate not toffee, that's the expensive shop will all that fancy truffle with dark, white and milk chocolate with vanilla, orange and god knows how many flavours. they also sell the different flavours of ice cream with a fudge stick in, prefer a 99 any day. ...Although this is a review on Thorntons Classic Collection of chocolates, I must first mention Sainsbury's, as I have to thank them for introducing me to this great selection of chocolates. Just before my Birthday Sainsbury's sent me a voucher to purchase a box of Thorntons Classic Collection as a Birthday present from them. I don't know why, I must have filled in some survey or other, but I wasn't going to complain. The same day my husband trekked off to Sainsbury's to use the voucher and surprise surprise he brought back a 335g box of chocolates worth £5.49. I Could'nt believe it, it's not very often you get something for nothing. The chocolates were in a square, sturdy gold box with maroon writing round a picture of five delicious looking chocolates, they looked so real that I felt you could pick them up... Read review

...goodies for my mums! Jabbing in the website in to the address bar at the top of my internet explorer I was quite surprised at what came up. I had been expecting the background of the site to be golden and full with swirls of brown and images of chocolates and toffees, however what I discovered was totally different. The Homepage When your internet first takes you to the homepage, you may be surprised at what you find. The top part of the webpage is brown, and has a chocolate effect to it.
