Thorpe Park.
Advantages: Mega Fun
Disadvantages: Rides do breakdown a lot.
...Thorpe Park is a small UK Theme Park situated in the Chertsey, Staines. It doesn't get many visitors compared to some other parks but without a doubt it is home to some of the UK's best rides.
**The Park**
Thorpe Park is one of few theme parks in England and has to battle tough competition from places like Alton Towers and Chessington.
It is home to some of the most known rides in England such as Nemesis Inferno and Colossus, which is known worldwide in theme park world. Thorpe Park opened many years ago now and started off with rides for little children like the little car things that go round a little track etc.. it was quite a while though before they got their first rollercoaster.
Thorpe Park is currently closed for the winter and will reopen on March 15th with whats tipped to be the UK's best rollercoaster. Its been going...

Thorpe Park for a laugh!
Advantages: Fun for adults, fun for children, good day out
Disadvantages: Overpriced, queing times
...I have been visiting Thorpe Park since I was a child. The last time I visited was last year so that's primarily what I'll be basing this review on.
The park is situated in Stains, Surrey and is open from February to November each year. I go by car, it is all very well signed up and easy to find. You can also get there easily by train, where you can then get a shuttle bus to and from the station and the park. Coach trips also run regularly from London Victoria.
The park opens between 9.30 - 10.00am depending on when you visit and closes between 5.00 - 10.00pm depending again on when you visit. The last time I visited we got there at about 10.30am and had no problems parking, although queing for tickets wasn't much fun. Tickets cost us a ghastly £35.00 each (although I found out afterwards that you can get adult tickets for £26...

Thorpe Park is good for adults
Advantages: Really good thrill rides
Disadvantages: Not many rides for younger teens
...On our way back from France we decided to pop into Thorpe Park for the day. So we went on the last Sunday of the half term, as we turned into the car park our initial fears of it being overcrowded looked to be well founded, but after getting into the park we found that it actually wasn't as busy as it first seemed.
Part of the reason it wasn't so busy could have been because of the ridiculously high prices, currently (2009) the price for an adult is £35 and a child is £21 (although a child is not really a child, because that price is only for under 12's, not for other children). It's cheaper to buy online in advance, but as we were using Tesco vouchers for some of the entry tickets and Coke Zone vouchers for the others, it actually worked out cheaper just to pay at the gate. Unfortunately, unlike places such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach...

Thorpe Park
Advantages: A very fun day out with mates or family.
Disadvantages: If you dont like height this is a noooooo go!
...Thorpe park, is one of the best theme parks in the uk! And has an impressive number of rides; SAW (New) - Stealth (Very Fast) - Nemisis Inferno - Colosuss - Tidal Wave - Rush - Samauri - Vortex - Slammer - Detanator - X: No Way Out!
These main top attractions consume, Speed, Height, Water, and screaming! Thorpe Park is in surrey wich it contains, eating and drinking, ride photgraphy and other facalities.
The ques, can be sometimes unbearable but is worth the wait once on. A great trip out with your mates, will be at Thorpe park as it contains everything for everyone. Thorpe park is also freindly with families! All ages are welcome but there are some height constricsions with some of the rides, but its not a problem as most rides welcome different heights, and ages!...

Thorpe Park
Advantages: There's something for everyone & the rides are so much fun.
Disadvantages: Cost of getting in & the rides break down alot.
...This summer i decided to visit Thorpe park with some friends as lastminute.com were providing special offers for entry to 3 uk theme parks. The cost of entry for an adult is usually 28 pounds but I managed to get an adult ticket for 16 pounds which was pretty good!
My first impression of the park was the good atmosphere. After being handed a map on the gate I could see that there were a lot of rides to try - most of which are aimed at younger people looking for the faster ones. On entry to the park you first cross a bridge and then come to a dome selling food, drink, souveniers and such. Its quite easy to get around the park and when I visited mid august it wasn't too congested - only in the queues which is to be expected in summer.
I was quite disappointed to hear on arrival that the newer attraction stealth wasn't going to be...

BROWN TROUSER ALERT AT THORPE PARK
Advantages: Colossus, now theres more to do
Disadvantages: The queues in summer
...After the slight disappointment of Saturday (cant tell you what it was, that's another op!), off we trotted to Thorpe Park. Luckily for us (!) We were staying in Slough 20 miles away, bus as its on the outskirts of London its sign posted from all the main motorways. Mainly the M25.
After waiting a way to get in cos the security guards were checking all the white vans which was slightly disconcerting, we parked up and walked a short distance to the entrance.
We finally got in to the dome that's the gateway to Thorpe Park containing shops, cafes and a bar. Get through that and you're faced with a whole plethora of things to do. To me it seems quite a small park with a lot packed in it, in the height of summer it gets really busy and is quite uncomfortable.
Now I'm a bit of a thrill seeker so its those rides that I go for first...

A DAY TO REMEMBER AT THORPE PARK
Advantages: GREAT DAY OUT
Disadvantages: CAN BE EXPENSIVE
...All throughout school, the last day of term would arrive and me and my close pals would all arrange to ring each other during the summer holidays - It rarely happened due to working responsibilities, boyfriend commitments and family holidays so we made a pact this year at the end of college to do something all together. As you can probably guess we decided apon a theme park trip seeing as it was the first summer a few of us could drive. I was really glad when we all decided apon Thorpe Park as I'd been to Alton Towers three times in the last two years and I'd also been to Chessington.
Although I had been to Thorpe Park when I was a lot younger there were a few rides I could remember and all the rest was a blur. We opted to stay in a Travelodge for the night nearby so we wouldn't struggle to drive there and back in a day. Our day was...

Thorpe Park review
Advantages: great rides, lots to do
Disadvantages: crowded, expensive, too many chavs
...Thorpe Park, owned by the Madame Tussauds group (who also own Chessington and Alton Towers) is a major theme park located in Surrey.
The rides at Thorpe Park are very good. They offer a great mix of adrenaline and variety (I particularly like detonator - where's you're basically dropped from a height of 50 m or so). There are several rollercoasters, featuring many loop the loops and barrel rolls etc, as well as lots of other rides just designed to scare the crap out of you!
Apart from the rides, Thorpe Park doesn't offer much. It's got a few unhealthy 'restaurants', such a Pizza Hut, Burger King etc, and I would particularly recommend the all-you-can-eat Pizza Hut buffet, which costs around £7 per person and gives you unlimited food and drink.
There are several downsides to Thorpe Park, and the main is the queues. It's very...

Thorpe Park - action packed day out
Advantages: Lots and lots and lots of thrill rides
Disadvantages: Not enough for children
...Background:
Before the year 2000, Thorpe Park was an okayish theme park with a few good rides such as Loggers Leap, Tidal Wave and X: No Way Out. In the six years since then however, Thorpe Park has been completely transformed, with the Tussauds Group investing millions of pounds into the park. Today there are tons of great thrill rides, including Nemesis Inferno, Collosus, Vortex and Detonator. The new ride for this year was Stealth, with is a monster looking ride which fits well with the new look of the park. Of course with these changes the park has lost some of it's character. The Flying Fish, an old favourite at the park, has gone, as has the Model World, in favour of big flashy new rides. Although it is always better to move forward, I do think the park has been transformed far too quickly, with two or three new attractions...

Thorpe Park - You WONT be dissapointed!
Advantages: Rides!!!! Amout of rides!! Quality of rides!
Disadvantages: Queues, cost of getting in
...After spending a few days up in my grandparents house in Crawley, near Surrey I persuaded my parents to let us go to Thorpe park for our last day because it was on the way home. After a lot of 'Can we go to Thorpe Park' they eventually allowed us and this is how we got on
First things first, it was very easy to get to Thorpe park it was well sign posted from the motorway (I don't know which motorway it was because i've never been good at remembering them.) We arrived about 12 O Clock, it had opened at 9:30 but none of us were up at that time to get there. And it closes at 10pm so you can get a good day out of it. We arrived at the car park and it was heaving! Naturally it was going to be packed but this was mad, my first instincts were that we weren't going to get on any rides except for maybe a carousel. But I kept my hopes...
