...At first glance you would imagine the CD to be the normal mainstream nonsense with Russell Watson singing Amor ti Vieta, but when looking at the back you do see that this is a quality CD. So lights down low CD player on high and a nice Glass of wine and you are ready for an audio trip through operatic tenor modern history. ...In the operatic field there is no doubt that tenors are more popular than other male singers, partly because the composers usually used the tenor voice as a vehicle for his most beautiful tunes and the tenor is usually the hero in opera (with a few exceptions) This album by two of Americas greatest post war singers has been long awaited by opera enthusiasts. Samuel Ramey is one of the greatest bass singers in recent years. He can sing most of the bel-canto repertoire with ease and has a wonderful, effortless way of singing. Thomas Hampson too is a very important baritone and Lieder singer of some repute. This CD is interesting in that they chose certain duets that are not well known (Cimarosa "Il Matrimonio Segreto" and Donizetti's "Marino Faliero" ) The "Attila " duet is a bit disappointing as Hampson sounds very bland on it ; not like... Advantages: Nice Dark tone, good intonation, and smooth engraving
Disadvantages: This horn is quite expensive and the positioning of the palm keys doesn't quite suit my hands - the price is the only real disadvantage though!

...This is a good, high quality instrument from selmer, and is reckoned to be among the best professional tenor saxophones in the world. I own a serie II alto sax, however the serie II tenor seemed fairly different to the alto to me, and I play a selmer reference 36 tenor. The Serie II has a lovely tone, which is very resonant, making the whole horn vibrate, creating a dark rich tone. The intonation on this horn is also fairly good, but I didn't find the intonation quite as good as on the Serie III. I like the design of the Serie II, and it feels comfortable to play, except for the right hand palm keys, which for some reason, to me, feel like they are in the wrong position, and they seem quite a stretch to reach. ...The first two tracks offer a blistering hard bop frenzy. I would pay a full album price just for "eternal triangle", track number two. Sonny Stitt and Rollins complement each other very well and the contrast from Dizzy really pushes this albulm along. This is probably my favourite album at the moment. Sonny Side up is a great upbeat start to the album with some really lovely solos form all three and cool singing from dizzy. The Eternal triangle is a composition by sonny Stitt and it's where the record really takes off. The two tenors start trying to outdo each other and it just builds and builds. This is my favourite track - truely breathtaking. After Hours is a bluesy track with some nice piano. I kno that you know finishes off nicely. A truely great album. Essential.... Read review

It's called 3G and means 'third generation' which basically means it uses mostly video technology. For example all the entertainment on 3 is video based. This means that you are also able to make video calls so you can see the person you are phoning. ...There are three plays in this particular text from Penguin. It is somewhat of a standard on university English courses. The plays are Oedipus Rex, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone. They deal with the history of Oedipus (as in the Complex of Freud). Unwittingly Oedipus kills his father, ends up becoming king in his place and marries his mother. They have children between them and eventually come to know the secret. The main characters are interrelated needless to say and the conflicts are internecine. For example, Sophocles two sons are engaged in warfare against each other for the kingship. Ismene and Antigone, his two daughters, also come to grief at the hands of relations. The nature of the conflicts is a reflection of the stories of the gods themselves. They all tend to inbreed and be fighting against each other... Read review

...I decided to try out this three day diet, after a friend assured me of it's success. She told me that apparently it was used in hospitals when people needed to lose weight in a hurry for certain surgeries. It claims that you can lose up to 10lbs in the three days, but this depends on how overweight you are. At the time of commencing this regime, I was at least 1 1/2 stone overweight. At 5ft 6in, I weighed 11st 1, and wanted to get back down to 9st - 9 1/2st, a nice, healthy weight. It is recommended that you follow the plan for three days, eating healthily for the following four, and return once again to the diet for a further three days.
