Saitek X52 Joystick & Throttle Controller
Review of Saitek X52 Flight Control System - joystick, throttle by
kusarininja
Advantages: Highly configurable, a flight sim buffs dream
Disadvantages: Configuration takes time.
...The X52 Flight Control System is a highly configurable HOTAS (Hands on Throttle and Stick controller. The Controller is comprised of two seperate units, the main joystick controller and a seperate throttle unit. The two units are connected by a detatchable cable and is powered direct from USB. If using a USB hub I'd recommend using a powered one as you may it may not work too well off of a non-powered hub.
Starting with the joystick..
The stick itself is very comfortable to use. The handle has 5 position settings to suit different hand sizes. All the controls are within easy reach without having to strain your fingers or thumb.
The main trigger is metal and operates a two-stage button. press it part way and it will activate one switch and if you press it all the way it activates a second.
Underneath this trigger...

Too Full, not enough Throttle.
Review of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle DVD by
franproc
Advantages: Sexy girls, good effects
Disadvantages: Lack of plot, any opportunity for an explosion is grabbed
...-inch heels with little more than a hair out of place.
And that is how Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle starts. From that piece you can basically gather everything you need to know about the rest of the film: Diaz is the kooky, fun-loving one, Barrymore is tough tomboy, and Lui is the stylish classy flexible one, the plot doesn't matter at all, the angels always win, with ne'er even smudging their lipstick, and they do all of this in ridiculous heels.
Full Throttle is an appropriate name. Everything about the film is done to the max - the numerous explosions, the action set-pieces, the exaggerated villains, the girls' outfits, the gadgets, the sexy dance sequences, the "token black guy" - Bernie Mac's Bosley. It's overblown, overexcited, and slightly overrated.
There are some great parts to Charlie's Angels. One scene in particular where...

Saite X36F + X35 Throttle
Review of Saitek X36 Flight Controller - joystick, throttle by
apestyler
Advantages: Solid build, responsive, vast array of buttons, highly customisable
Disadvantages: Can be tricky to install, programming buttons can be a nightmare!
...no native support for this stick.
Once you have set the stick up the next tedious task is to program all the buttons. Most decent flight sims have relatively good button assignments but it will still take you a while as they are quite a few buttons and remebering what you have assigned can be a bit of a nightmare. According to Saitek the USB version of this stick does not require calibration however in my experience simulators such as X-Plane DO require you to calibrate it otherwise you can have undesirable effects such as the y-axis (up down) being permaently up.
In flight this is an extremely responsive stick for both combat sims (Such as Lock On) and non combat sims (such as MS Flight Simulator). One issue you should look out for is that the throttle can stick sometimes or become to loose, to fix this turn the throttle upside down...

Born To Be Wild.....and Funny
Review of Full Throttle (PC) by
BTlover
Advantages: Wonderful plotline, intermixed with a great soundtrack
Disadvantages: Some problems within the fighting system, can be a little difficult for some.
...LucasArts have become infamous for their assault on the straight up adventure genre and their unique ideas. Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Sam And Max are all feats in which have proved critically acclaimed by everyone. They're so popular and famous that they even adopted a post idea from Steven Spielberg and refined it into a household game in the controversial Dig. And Full Throttle is another adventure game which is not only serious, but aims for sharp humor and tries to make their own independent movie feel game with an interesting plot and charming dialog and characters.
Full Throttle is literally more ambitious than other LucasArts adventure games as now there is more of an occupation of point and click action in the gameplay. There are death tangling situations you encounter, but like all of their games, you never really die...

ASS-A-THON (and SAUCY SPIDER-MAN UNDIES)
Review of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle DVD by
j_mcb
Advantages: Angelic babes, Comedy, ASS ASS ASS
Disadvantages: Plot? What plot?
...Feel good time?
That is the question.
This year is set to go through the greatest number of sequels ever released at once. With X-2 hitting the silver screens in May, 2 Fast 2 Furious next, T3 will be arriving within the next fortnight and with other trilogy/sequels being released into the movie-world like the Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle half-heartedly tagged along.
The advertising strategies for other Sequel Summer movies have been as cheap as Aaron Spelling’s mansion (which I have seen – completely irrelevant, I just wanted to boast) with teaser trailers giving us a sneak preview of the blockbuster months in advance following up with a long trailer identifying main themes of the upcoming sequel (most noteworthy was the Matrix’s teaser that tickled our fancy and left us wetting ourselves...

BOOTYLICIOUS BUTT-KICKING
Review of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle DVD by
mattwood
Advantages: Gorgeous babes, impressive stunts
Disadvantages: Tries to be something it isn't
...and sexy, whilst refusing to take themselves too seriously. It’s plain to see that all three of them enjoyed filming this movie immensely, and this shines through in an accomplished performance from all three. Cameo appearances from Pink and Bruce Willis among others add some nice touches to the movie. The acting isn’t perfect, however. Bernie Mac has taken over the part of Bosley, the Angels’ link to Charlie, from Bill Murray; rumour has it that Murray didn’t get on with Lucy Liu too well! This is definitely to the detriment of the movie; Bernie always looks a little uncomfortable and out-of-place here, and his character a little contrived. It’s a blemish on an otherwise fine acting performance.
The stunts and special effects of Full Throttle rival those of The Matrix. In fact, many of them could have been...

"I’ve throttled your parakeet"
Review of Undermilk Wood - Dylan Thomas by
ilusvm
Advantages: different to your average play
Disadvantages: comes across as being a bit strange
...visual image for the audience. As the play is a play for voices the characters have to be very descriptive so that the audience can understand what is happening.
Mrs Pugh is a vile, callous character, whose husband fantasises about killing her. Mr Pugh is very vindictive, sly and treacherous towards his wife. When he takes Mrs Pugh her tea, he says: ‘Here’s your arsenic, dear. And your w | | |
