Gives You A Real Jolt
Review of ThrustMaster FireStorm Dual Power - game pad by
wampyrii
Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review
...The Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Power Gamepad, despite looking like a piece of early 90s tackmonger hardware, is actually one serious piece of kit. You are presented on initial impression with a mat black lump of plastic, covered in blue buttons with two control sticks - nothing too impressive and without further info. if you saw it in the shops, you'd no doubt pass it by for something which looks a little more professional.
Well you would be WRONG to do so!
The Firestorm Dual Power is a force feedback gamepad, which means that if you get a bump or a jolt in the game, you are going to get the same from the joypad - and its some jolt on this little beauty. In fact the motors are so strong that it comes with warnings on the packaging that prolonged play will 'hurt like hell' - and it does, believe me. Now, this may not sound like...

Thrustmaster 360 Modena
Review of ThrustMaster 360 Modena Racing Wheel - wheel and pedals set by
stavroshamster
Advantages: Good build, rubberised grip, looks good.
Disadvantages: Clamping system slightly awkward
...!!NOTE: This review is not for the force-feedback model, as the 'product details' section implies, but is for the version without force feedback!! I am also reviewing the PC model, not the model for consoles!
I borrowed this wheel from a friend in order to play Toca Race Driver 2 (great game by the way!!).
I have been very impressed by the wheel.
The wheel is made by Thrustmaster (whose parent company is Guillemot) and is a replica of the steering wheel found in the Ferrari 360 Modena as the name suggests.
The wheel has a sturdy hard black plastic design with a rubberised grip on either side which gives you added control over its movement without the wheel slipping through your hands. It is extremely well built - a vast improvement on the wheel that I previously owned - The Guillemot Race Leader Force Feedback whic felt rather...

Thunderous Sonic Firestorm!
Review of Sonic Firestorm (Remastered And Expanded) - Dragonforce by
MinutesAlone
Advantages: Full of amazing tracks, cool elements that aren't found in others' music
Disadvantages: There are only 9 tracks in an album
...Dragonforce, Long haired boys, known for their killing guitar solos, effects, explosive drums are back with their sophomore 'Sonic Firestorm' after their 2003's moderate success of album 'Valley of Damned' Sonic Firestorm is actually a great album. They've kept their speed metal genre online in this album too, there are pretty cool tracks, like always their representative music, lightining fast guitars and earthshaking drums followed by ZP's powerful raw vocals creates a huge splash in listener's mind.Sonic Firestorm is a perfect example of extreme speed metal but it isn't really a paragon,it's adequate and original though. Herman-Li's lightining fast solos and Zp's powerful vocals has given their music a concrete shape!
Dragonforce became the band whose song was downloaded most in Mp3.com which is fair enough and must explain...

Firestorm - Thunderhawk 2
Review of Thunderhawk 2 - Firestorm (PC) by
thespurs
Advantages: Great gameplay, good graphics, good variety
Disadvantages: Not hugely realistic
...need to do is change the weapon, fire it and manoeuvre the chopper around. As far as these games go, the controls on this one are incredibly easy to pick up.
--Conclusion--
I would certainly recommend getting hold of this game if you can. It may be very difficult to come across, although if you check on eBay every so often I'm sure it will come up for sale. It is immensely enjoyable and it will last you for a good three to four weeks of solid play. The levels have variety but they aren't too hard to complete. The game has a wide appeal; most male gamers would enjoy the game as it has a bit of everything. Firestorm: Thunderhawk 2 is published by Core Games, although it is sometimes called Thunderhawk 2: Firestorm. It is available on the Playstation and for the PC....

(All togther now) Lets get ready to rumble
Review of Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2 - game pad by
exup35
Advantages: Cheape, cordless, size
Disadvantages: small sizze can cause pain in hands.
...Reason for buying
I needed a replacement for my Thrustmaster Firestorm joypad, which I had tried to repair due to sticking buttons but it was getting past it.
I saw a nest of these in PC world for under £20 so decided to gie it a go:
I play a few driving sims on the PC and havent really the room for a wheel. The again, I did have a large wheel for the PS2 and always struggled to keep a straight line with it. I've always found joypads easier to control.
Gaming
Installation was pretty straightforward, there is a supplied driver disk, and the joypad communicates to the PC via a small IR reciever A little green LED on the unit tells flashes to tell you it is working, and the LED glows constant to show if it is recieveing information.
The rumblepad is physically smaller than my old Firestorm, and loses two...

Does It Matter?
Review of Command & Conquer: Firestorm (PC) by
TitanFire
Advantages: Great New Units, New Missions, and Balances the Sides
Disadvantages: Still Lacking realistic AI Skirmish "Quick Rushes", ie- You never see an AI do a Dis' rush with a CarryAll!
...All. Since the Disruptor's Sonic Resonance Wave can shatter numerous targets in it's path, I lost two cruical buildings and therefore was as good as dead. Since then however, TS grew tiresome, but still had the infamous Disruptor rush. Since Firestorm came out, it has greatly improved the game adding such units as The Cyborg Reaper,The Mobile EMP, and a personal favourite, The Juggernaut. Not only did Firestorm bring new playability, it opened a new storyline, where the NOD AI goes insane and runs wild, killing any human in its path. Firestorm is over-rated, but still adds more life to TS, a game which got too much Hype, therefore not being able to live up to it! Firestorm: 8/10...

Is It Worth It?
Review of Command & Conquer: Firestorm (PC) by
neo16uk
Advantages: new units
Disadvantages: boring after a while
...Basically i bought Tiberian Sun as soon as i could afford it, it is an amazing game so when firestorm came out i was at the shops the 1st day! When i first played firestorm i was very impressed, although there is only a few missions they are quite tough compared to tiberian sun. Firestorm contains a few new units and structures such as mobile stealth and juggernauts. Overall i think it is a good add on but after a while it can get quite boring and there are not many different tactics so there is not much originality!...
