Wish we'd bought this Thule bike carrier years ago !

Advantages: lightweight, simple to fit, sturdy, holds the bikes safely and well
Disadvantages: Haven't found any !

...Having struggled for a number of years with a "strap to the back of the car" carrier, and with our son growing up and getting a larger bike, my husband and I decided on the Thule 3 bike carrier. Having a car with a towbar gave us the choice of models, and we opted for the towbar mounted model after searching round the internet. It came flatpacked, but all the tools and easy to follow...

Thule 9503 - My bikes no longer fall OFF

Advantages: Price, Fits in the boot, Bikes are secure
Disadvantages: Need another Number Plate

...Had our Thule 9503 for just over a week now got it to bring my new bike home on. The 9503 can carry 3 bikes and 4 if you dont mind strapping one on the end (but Thule say 3 only) Ours was made up by the shop so it was just a case of whack it on the towbar and tighten it up and we're off. There may be more expensive units out there that don't need bolting on but at just under £110 I dont mind...
