...I hate trying to write music reviews. It is really hard to get across what an album sounds like by using only words. This is especially hard in blues, I think, as the musical genre deliberately sounds like, well - other blues tunes! I don't know the necessary music jargon to do this album justice, as I'm not a musician. The thing that first srikes you about this album is the weird cover by Storm Thorgeson (of Hipgnosis, sleeve designers to Pink Floyd and Led Zep, amongst many others). The cover isn't one of his best, in my opinion - but it is really the music that matters, isn't it? I have seen Climax Blues Band live once in the early nineties, with a much changed line-up from this album. ...I first discovered Silkies tights when for some reason I actually read some of the junk mail, which seems to accumulate by the front door. I had received a card telling me that I had been specially selected (!!) to try out Silkies tights by way of a free sample. I simply completed the card, saying what size I needed, what colour I required and my address. I posted it off (in a moment of boredom) and forgot all about it. A week or so later, a package arrived through my door. My tights had arrived! But as I was late for work, I put them on, grabbed the ton of paper that came with them and left. Advantages: Stops Scratches
Disadvantages: Makes iPod Bigger!

...I recently bought an iPod Video 30GB and whilst it is extremely nice looking it does scratch VERY eaily. The back half that is made from metal scratches very easily and if you are like me (which you probably aren't) and want to keep it perfectly clean all the time it becomes tiresome. As well as the back panel the screen also scratches easily and it will get ruined after a while! The Speck SkinTight case is very good because it does stop all the scratches with its very thin silicon outer shell and also protects the screen with the screen protectors HOWEVER, you do lose out with the size of the iPod because it does make it noticably bigger and also it makes writing on the screen look a bit dodgy because of the refraction through the plastic screen protector. ...Mel Brooks takes on Robin Hood in this movie, released around the same time as that other famous movie, with that other famous Robin Hood. Only difference is - this guy, unlike some other Robin Hoods, can speak with an english accent. And so continues 'Robin Hood: Men in Tights'. The movie follows the same kind of story as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, in that Robin (Cary Elwes) is a young english knight fighting in the crusades, but has been captured in Jerusalem. In prison (where the entry requirement is a comedy beard) young Robin meets a moorish inmate Asneeze (Isaac Hayes) who helps him escape, but asks that when he returns to England Robin must seek out and protect Asneeze's son, Achoo (cue LOADS of 'Bless You' gags). Upon his return, Robin finds his home burned to the ground and his family murdered. The only man left... Read review

...I read this story ages ago with my daughters, and then we have just read it again recently and this time I couldn't help but notice the similarities between the little bear in the story and my fiercely independent daughter who is all of four and three quarters! Sleep Tight, Little Bear is one of the many wonderful Big Bear, Little Bear stories written by Martin Waddell and illustrated by Barbara Firth. I think we must have read them all about a hundred times each so both these characters are very familiar to my daughters and feel a bit like old friends! Also, on the first page of each of the books, you get the same words: Once there were two bears, Big Bear and Little Bear. Big Bear is the big bear, And Little Bear is the little bear. One day...
