...It was thanks to the nice people here on ciao that I actually got to try out this stuff, I won it as part of a Tigi gift set in the recent colurings competition. To be honest if I had not won the prize I doubt that I'd have actually gone out and bought the stuff due to it being £8.50 a bootle and its rather off putting colour - a kinda pearlescent tourquoisey green! Apart from the colour this stuff is excellent! If you love coconut you'll love the smell of this stuff as it has a very natural coconut smell to it and not a chemically smell. The creative genius comes in a large recyclable bottle giving you 200mls of the green liquid. To be fair liquid is the wrong word to use in describing it's constitancy, its more like a watery cream. ...Because our family never ventures further than the £1.89-per-bottle range of hair products when shopping in our local Sainsbury's, I was delighted to see that I had won a more extravagent professional TIGI set off Ciao earlier this month. Whereas the shampoo and conditioner that I regularly use give me hold in my hair, and make both me and my hair feel great, I thought that something a bit more up-market hair-wise would give me a greater longer-lasting feel that was better overall. It is, after all, only sold in professional salons and so my expectations were relatively high. However, I was somewhat disappointed when the package arrived and I started to use the shampoo, conditioner and gel (or, as it is called in the pack - 'Creative Genius - Sculpting liquid', a little exaggerated in my eyes). Advantages: Good for all-round haircare.
Disadvantages: The name doesn't do it any justice.

...I won a prize in a competition and was sent products on the Tigi Bed Head product range. I had never heard of this particular product before, and had visions on looking like I had just got out of bed when I used it, the name doesn't do it justice, but the products are good, I have tried the Mega Vitamin Shampoo and Conditioner, when combined leave my hair smelling fresh and invigorated, plus the vitamins must do something to my hair because afterwards my hair felt really smooth and soft. I have also tried the Creative Genius Sculpting Liquid, which is like a glaze serum which absorbs easily into the hair, and does not make your hair feel heavy, and does not weight down the style of my hair, when used together they work well, Tigi products are okay as long as you can afford them, and only salons sell them usually, but if you are looking... ..."I have the most appalling hair" so goes the silly little poem I contributed in entry to Ciao's hair colouring competition,but guess what........I won a prize. Actually, I really do have the most appalling hair and the poem was a very real opinion, albeit a rather strange one. Unfortunately my hair is long, flyaway and totally uncontrollable and this may possibly be the reason why my Tigi prize hasn't I'm afraid impressed me,despite the fact that I've now used it at least 4 times over the last week or so. One should never look a gift horse in the mouth so the saying goes and I have to say I feel rather uncomfortable writing this opinion as I was of course really pleased to win (I never usually win anything) and very excited to receive my Tigi Bed Head hair set, comprising shampoo, conditioner and Creative Genius sculpting liquid... Advantages: Smells divine. It makes hair heathy and shiny.
Disadvantages: So expensive.

.... Personally I was a convert to their “Creative Genius” styling balm, and a firm fan of “Shine Junkie” but I’d never bought their shampoos for home use. I’d always thought VO5 was as good as it could get for my hair, and I didn’t feel that I could justify an £8 bottle of conditioner. Then when I was shopping in Castlecourt shopping centre in Belfast I found a store called “Trade Secret” which stocked all imaginable hair products at reasonable prices, so I invested in the Control Freak shampoo and conditioner. I love the smell, and it’s the same shampoo my hairdresser uses on me when I go. TiGi were founded in 1971 to create products for Toni and Guy however, they now cater for all stylistic hairdressers, creating unique products to meet every need. Each product I’ve encountered smells good enough to eat, and certainly performs the task... Read review

...I have rubbish hair. In it’s natural state it’s fine, flyaway, and to top it all, a not very attractive shade of mousey brown. To control it is a constant battle, so I generally just let it do whatever it fancies. However, I think I may be finally winning that fight with my new shampoo… TiGi Control Freak. I’d love to have celebrity hair, but it’s just not a possibility. ...I have been meaning to wash my hair for a few days now. Constant itching and a lardy texture had driven me to the point of turning the shower on and crouching down next to the bath, ready to alternate screaming and profane language as the temperature gradually stabilised from ice to steam to luke warm. Fortunately for me a knock at the door heralded the arrival of my prize for writing an opinion on hair colour on Ciao (Deep Purple Ears, on L'Oreal Feria Colour). Inside the huge padded parcel was a not so huge box containing a plastic scented digital watch (yeuch), a 350ml bottle of TIGI Bed Head Self Absorbed Mega Vitamin shampoo, a 250ml bottle of conditioner from the same range, and a 200ml bottle of TIGI Bed Head Creative Genius sculpting liquid. ...N.B. I didn't buy this parcel from Ciao, I won it after reviewing a hair colour! 21/02/01 I was thrilled to come home from work this evening to find a huge parcel from Ciao. Upon opening, I found a fab parcel of TiGi products. This box contained a funky plastic watch, Creative Genius, and Bed Head Self Absorbed Shampoo and Conditioner. Being that my hairdresser was coming anyway, I thought I'd give my products a try. So glad that I did! I am already the proud owner of Creative Genius as it is a fantastic tool (more on that another time, no doubt) so I was keen to try out the other Bed Head items. Having been a customer at my local branch of Toni and Guy, I had seen these products on display. The only thing that put me off buying them was the rather steep price! ...* That’s hair of a goddess – a trowel, some putty and maybe a small amount of cement may improve the face :o) Until 5 or 6 years ago (before decent hair straighteners) my hair couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be curly or straight. A threat of cutting it all off seemed to turn my hair curly overnight, but not those glossy tendrils that you see in the magazines, so off I went in search of the perfect curl defining products … …. much money wasted and, several part used bottles, tins and tubes later I discovered the wonderful world of Tigi.
