...I had already bought Eva’s CD ‘Songbird’ and written a review of it here on Ciao. I loved it so much that I decided I would try to get hold of everything that Eva Cassidy had recorded while she was alive. Most of you by now will know that Eva died in 1996 at the age of 33. And it is only now that she has received the kind of recognition that her talent deserves. Apparently she was very shy and not at all ambitious. She had been offered various recording contracts, but chose just to sing for pleasure rather than for monetary gain or fame. I found it very hard to decide which CD to purchase next after ‘Songbird’. Advantages: Dinosaurs, fun, good sequel in series of kids films

...A sequel blast from the past - some of you may remeber the classic childrens films ''the land before time'', a fantastic film which broke cinema records and proved even more popular when released for home entertainment. As previously mentioned it started off as one movie, but then many more, with bizarre titles emerged on to our screens. Advantages: Obvious ways in wasting time, can be fun.

...With a two year old son you'd think I didn't have time to waste and really I don't. There's so much that needs doing but like every other human I know I do in fact waste a lot of time. I have decided to write this review about my top 10 ways for waisting time. I will try to explain the things I do to waste time, but why I believe that they can actually have their benefits. ...I would never have chosen to subscribe to Time Magazine, but it happened like this: PC Plus magazine ran a promotion for a new Business magazine that sounded interesting so I signed up for it. As often happens with new publications, it flopped after a few editions. As “compensation” I was provided with a free 3-month subscription to Time which I have enjoyed since. As most of you will be aware, Time Magazine is widely available on newsstands. It’s characterized by a cover with a red border and “TIME” written in bold letters about 2” high. “Enjoyed” is perhaps the wrong word to use in the above context. Events in the Middle East and Iraq have so dominated current political and business affairs over the past few months that the material covered has had very little associated feel-good factor. ...Having been in both full-time studies at university and also spent a lot of time in part-time study, I believe I am able to share a few pointers that may or not prove helpful if this part-time study is what you are considering. First of all, if you are not disciplined and have poor time management skills, I would HIGHLY recommend that you not attempt to get involved with part-time study particularly if you have a family or if you are also having to hold down full-time employment. I began my university level education in a normal type setting found in universities across the western world. It was hectic and we lived, ate, and studied to the max! ...Britain. We really don't appericiate its sights, uniqueness, history, humor, and err safaris, buddhist monasteries and bog snorkeling events! Well not according to Time Out that is. Hot on the heals of its 1000 things to do in London, Time Out has published its new sister publication "1000 things to do in Britain". As its name suggests the book contains 1000 things you may have done, may have never heard of or even if you had wouldn't have wanted to. As far as the latter goes I can point you straight to item 586 - butchery lessons. Think I will give that one a miss. The book really does have something for everyone though. Whatever makes you tick. Sport, food, festivals and walks. You name it. And this covers the length and breadth of the country. Ever thought of visiting an Italian chapel in the Orkneys? Maybe watching... Read review
