But remember that this only occurs if the radio is already on when ‘alarm time’ arrives (and perhaps this is intentional behaviour and not a bug at all. But it sure ‘bugs’ me and has caused me to oversleep a couple of times)! (ii) There's also a slightly annoying thing about setting the alarm: when you press the button to set the alarm, the machine lets out a loud beep (actually two loud beeps - one for setting the hour, one for setting the minutes). This isn't great if anyone happens to be asleep in the room while you are setting the alarm(s). DISPLAY (3/5) The display has a green or amber background with two brightness levels. ....2 mega pixel resolution was more than adequate for my snapshot usage, to get equal quality to my F3 in digital I would have to pay £600+ on a Nikon 8700 or the like, no chance, until I get au fait with digital. I was under the impression the more pixels a camera had the better the quality, this is true but 3.2 mega pixels is more than adequate for great quality images unless you want poster sized prints. The camera has a multitude of options including 15 scene modes for things like night time, indoor and even museum photography where flash photography is prohibited. Movie modes including time lapse option. Also for novelty factor you can change the shutter sounds. You can choose from 10 different languages, hurrah! eliminating the all German option. ...with a countdown timer, or 3 minutes, and the familiar 4x4 Dice layout. The letters chosen are random and will change every time you start a new game. The rules are pretty simple, and you are required to create as many words as possible using the 16 letters available, by linking the dice together to form words of a minimum of 3 letters. Your direction of word can go anyway, but you are only allowed to use each letter once. If you are playing more than one player it will be there turn as soon as your word find is complete. This can be that the waiting time for certain players is extended whilst waiting for other members to find an appropriate word. Once you have chosen a word, click, and it will appear on a list on the right hand side of the screen. If you hover over this word with your mouse a pencil will appear and you are given the option... ...around two years ago for £300 it was only packaged with a 8mb card (approx 12 photo’s at very best quality). This is not enough memory to use the camera to its full capacity. I would recommend a minimum of 64mb (approx 50 photo’s at very best quality). It is also packaged out with a USB or Serial connection lead for downloading the photo’s to your PC. USB is much quicker. The Kodak software, which comes with the camera, is very easy to use. Other features:- * 2.0 Mega-pixels * 3 levels of photo quality – good, better, best * Date & Time option on photo’s * Video out – for showing photos on TV * 4 Flash options * 10 second self timer * 3 x digital zoom and 2 x optical zoom * White balance (makes objects look more natural under different light conditions) * Good Manual However, this camera is no longer available now that Kodak has... Another twist to the tale is that one of the inmates of the book a Chief Bromden, who the staff believe to be deaf and dumb becomes good friends with McMurphy, who is the only person to discover the Chief can really talk and hear and when he sees his friend all wiped out with the shock therapy, goes into the bathroom and rips the wash stand from the floor to fling it through the window and escape. The book ends on a tragic note but the inpact of it stays with you. This has been made into a film and the lead character played by Jack Nicholson who portrayed the role superbly. ...the battery condition again, as well as the signal reception. I have chosen to show the date and time on this screen as it does not obscure anything. At the bottom of the screen there are shortcuts to 'My Stuff' (on the left) and 'Planet3' (on the right). CAMERA It has a 1.3 Mega Pixel camera, but this does not have a flash! There are options for picture sizes i.e. 1280x960. You can use it as a mirror, or not! There are options for special effects i.e. Black & White, Negative or Sepia. You can set the timer to 3,5 0r 10 seconds. It has a night mode option for using in dark places. The 'White balance' can be set for Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Illuminate or Indoors. There is also a Brightness setting, which quite useful. There are only 2 Zoom settings X1= Normal and X2. I have not yet used the Multishot option and don't really know why I would want...
