Nice little cheap hotel

Advantages: Cheap, great location, near Metro links
Disadvantages: Small rooms, not a great breakfast selection

...I stayed in the Timhotel Tour Eiffel from the 17th to the 18th of March with my boyfriend. We booked the holiday through Thomson.co.uk and it cost 86 pounds for the two of us for one night. The trip was for my 21st birthday, and since we were there for only a short time and were mainly there for siteseeing, the hotel was basically just a base camp for us. The reason we chose the hotel was mainly because it was pretty cheap, and we liked the idea that it was so close to the Eiffel Tower, and also because of it's close proximity to the Metro Station (Dupleix), as we didn't quite fancy having to wander about Paris trying to find our hotel!! Decent budget hotel in Paris

Advantages: Cheap (by Parisian standards), location not bad, quiet and safe area
Disadvantages: Tiny room, bed a bit worn out, cold bathroom

Review of Timhotel Opera Madeleine, Paris

Paris, 4 day break in a wheelchair.

Advantages: So many things to do and see.
Disadvantages: Wheelchair inaccessiblity

...I'm disabled and I wanted to go to Paris to see the sights. Easy ? Not as easy as I thought ! Since ending up in a wheelchair a few years ago, things have been a little bit trickier in just getting around. Not enough drop pavements, doors not wide enough, stuff left in the way in the isles in shops - it all adds up to a bit of a frustrating time. Beverly (my wife) & I had managed a few good holidays recently, including Barcelona, Jersey and a few UK city breaks, but since my son gave us such a glowing report of Paris, I decided that would be our next short break. I did some internet research, found out roughly where we needed to stay to be close to all my sightseeing targets, and went to Expedia online to book. Review of General: France

The amazing Paris - trip report from 2nd visit

Advantages: Lots to see and do, the metro,
Disadvantages: Eating out can be expensive, everyone else is there too (everyone loves Paris)

...the best neighborhood. This is Paris' red light district. We had a bit of a laugh when we saw TimHotel (the chain of hotel we used) had a hotel that were next door to this huge neon lit building with Sexodrome on it?I guess they don't make a point out of that in the advertising. In the same area you will also find the famous Moulin Rouge. Back to the church?it is a short walk up to the church itself from Anvers metro station but it is uphill so there is even a short "train service" there. We are still young and fit?well, at least a bit fit?so we walked up the stairs. The white church is beautiful against the blue sky and it is nice to sit down in the stairs and relax and look at the view of Paris.
