At last, a quality tinned dog food

Advantages: An excellent quality food for optimum nutrition
Disadvantages: It is expensive

...I have just got a new puppy in the house and I am trying hard to make sure he has a balanced diet of quality food. I do feed him a 'complete' food in the form of Hills puppy food but I do like to add some meat to that and in general I give him raw mince which he quite enjoys. However it is helpful to have a tinned option for those times when I haven't remembered to take the mince out of the freezer in time for it to thaw or for the days when he is at 'Doggy Day Care' and needs to take a packed lunch with him - yes really! I am keen to get him off to a good start and as he is a small breed it is easy to feed him quality food as he doesn't eat much - (if I think back to the days when I bred Great Danes I do realise that with the quantities they ate it would have been expensive to feed premium brands). THE PLOT The plot was basically about this boy called Fergal who decides to collect tins that have no labels on, he finds it interesting I suppose, like when collect cards, you have to buy them in the packet, yet you don't know what you'll get when you open them, except these are cans he doesn't open. Then when he's parents get angry at him cluttering up the room, he decides to open the lightest one. ...After Christmas having consumed vast quantities of rich food I am always ready for some 'simple stuff' that is nutritious and tasty. This is where I find myself reaching for the 'Tesco Value Chopped Tomatoes in Tomato Juice' out of my kitchen cupboard. I always have a few tins of these in my cupboard and I hope that this review will tell you why. Firstly, and very importantly, these value tomatoes are almost half the price of the 'branded' ones. For a 400g tin they cost just 33p which works out at just a mere 8.3p per 100g. The tinned tomatoes are produced in Italy for Tesco's. ...diet; my son became fussy in between feeds so I knew he needed more than just his milk. I have never used jars or tins of baby food, as I don't see the point really. In my opinion I think they are expensive, they don't look very appetising and I don't think its worth going onto jars and tins to then have to go onto food, for me I thought it was better to just go straight onto normal food. I have nothing against ready made baby food; it's just not my preference.
