...I decided to get an activity mat when my little boy became more interested in his surroundings and wanted more stimulation. I'd heard good things about the Tiny Love range and settled for the Lights & Music Gym as it had all the things I wanted. I had a look around for prices online and the average new is around £44.99 (not inc. p&p) from stockists such as Mothercare. I thought that was a little expensive and had a look on eBay, where I found several exact same gyms, and loads more similar ones by Tiny Love. After a couple of losing bids I secured myself a second-hand gym for £15 inc. p&p. I think the average price was around £18-20, which is very reasonable. The gym itself is fantastic. There are so many things to keep my little one amused. Several dangling toy animals that shake, rattle and roll. A mirror, lots of touchy feely areas... Read review

...I got this baby gym as a gift from a family friend when my baby was only a few days old, and needless to say he was not very interested in it then! He is 5 months now, and in the last 5 months he seems to have learned so much. He knows the toys, and loves the lights and music. Most gyms we looked at are very basic, with a few simple toys and a plain mat. these seemed to be something i would have thought would certainly be less stimulating and educational, although I have had no experience using one, they certainly dont look as interesting to me! The toys are all different, unlike some gyms where there may be 5 hanging toys, but all they are are plain soft toys, the tiny love toys all have their own unique feature. Advantages: Easy to wash, store and rearrange the toys
Disadvantages: needs a rug underneath for padding

.... The connectors can be combined to make the toys dangle at various levels depending on the "reach" of your baby. The base mat is detachable and can be machine washed if there are any accidents. Downsides..... The mat however is quite thin and if you have hard or wooden floors then you will need to put a rug or blanket underneath for baby's comfort. Summary....... This is a brightly coloured and interesting playmat for baby. My son loves his play mat and will contendly play for up to an hour and he is only 9 weeks old! He will kick and the toys and also try to grab them - they are a good size for tiny hands to practice gripping. But I do have to wash the rug used underneath and if I leave the play mat out my cat thinks that it is a comfy place to sleep!... Read review

...i bought one of these for my son when he was first born but he didnt really get into it till about 3-4 months and when he did he loved it The side-to-side flip blanket provides age-appropriate, self activated fun and fascination for facilitating baby's development. The instant feedback when she activates the touch pad will encourage her to increase her tummy-time and lift her head, strengthening her arms, neck and shoulders, as well as further developing her motor and cognitive skills. this gym hearing with the 10 minutes of relaxing classical pieces by Mozart, and a variety of well-loved nursery tunes, as well as the other sounds found on the mat and toys. Sight is stimulated by the double-sided mat with its images adapted to baby's developing sight, flashing lights on the mat, a mirror and colourful toys hanging from the arches... Read review

...with no shrinkage or fading. It folds up flat and clips together with two press studs, which means one less big bulky toy on the floor once bedtime has come! I would highly recommend this gym as it encouges motor development and hand eye co-ordination and all the other scientifically tested reasons plus because my son LOVED it!... Read review

...I have a 2 month old little girl and have had the Tiny Love Gymini Super Deluxe – Lights & Music since she was born. What is it? A soft padded activity gym mat complete with lights, music and dangling toys suitable for babies from birth to 10 months. What does it look like? It is a very bright square mat with a crossed arch that goes over the top, it has a big round mirror in one corner. There are 5 toys which hang from the arches and can be removed. The mat itself has a blue border, within the border is a safari type scene with a purple elephant (with a textured ear that can be folded over his face so you can play peek-a-boo), a black and white zebra (with a mane in felt that provides another texture), an orange giraffe (with a felt tail that can be pulled), a purple monkey, a pink bird with a squeaker and a big yellow... ...I was a bit superstitious about buying anything for my baby while before she arrived safely, but I couldn't help smiling when my husband brought home an award-winning activity gym when I got to twenty weeks pregnant. It was the Tiny Love Gymini Deluxe, which consists of a brightly coloured soft squarish playmat (80cm x 88 cm) with two crossing diagonal arches over it, from which hang several toys. The hanging toys that come with the mat are: a monkey with springy legs that rattles, a parrot with crinkly wings that sits on a perch, a giraffe with beady feet, a jitterpull purple elephant with crinkly ears, and there is also a colourful rattle with beads that move which Leah loves. There are other toys available that you can buy to hang from the arches, and several holes in them so that you can add toys of your own, or move the toys... Read review

...I'm really impressed by the Tiny Love range of colourful, developmental toys for babies. And if you're looking for a playmat, the Gymini Super Deluxe Lights & Music model has to be one of the best (though not the cheapest) on the market. Described by the manufacturer as "a multi-sensory play environment", it lives up to its promise. We received this as a gift when my daughter was born, and I'm really glad we did - although she's only 2 months old, she's already started taking notice of many of the features, and I'm sure she will get plenty of use out of it over the coming months.
