Only a Tiny bit in Love with Symphony in Motion
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
Carrie8
Advantages: Different tunes, lots of movement
Disadvantages: remote control doesn't seem to work from a distance
...I bought this mobile when my son moved out of his crib and our bedroom and into his own room and cotbed. I thought it might help to soothe him off to sleep when left alone in his own room. I have found that this mobile keeps him very interested and entertains him rather than sends him off to sleep.
I find it very useful to turn on and keep my son occupied whilst I shower / dress. It has three different tunes (which will drive you mad in the end!) but provides some variety for your baby. The movement of the elephants and the shapes - which also make their own sliding and clunking sound as the mobile moves - seems to keep my baby enthralled for quite a long time.
My only real bugbears with this mobile are firstly the remote control. I have to stand so close to get it to work that I may as well lean into the cot and do...

A symphony to lull a baby to a peaceful sleep.
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
babyandpuds
Advantages: Tunes aren't annoying and the characters are bright and attention catching
Disadvantages: Expensive and costly in batteries if your child becomes attached to it.
...Before my daughter was born we had looked at many different mobiles for her cot, from ones that matched the décor to ones that had flashing lights and familiar cartoon characters. Then I saw the symphony in motion mobile.
This mobile is expensive, but it is worth every penny, although I had to fight to prove this to my partner, so what makes it so great. Well for a start the tunes don't get irritating, in fact I find then quite relaxing. My daughter has loved this mobile from 3 months old, and will normally be lulled to sleep quite easily when it is put on the Bach setting. She also loves the toys and will grab hold of them as they are swirling around her hear. It has to be said that the mobile has withstood quite a lot of swings and pulls and despite her pulling in the wrong direction to the turn of the mobile it is still working 4...

mobile magic
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
ricci
Advantages: great fun for scarlett, stimulating, visually bright, aids development
Disadvantages: the novelty will wear of, a little flimsy
...onwards your baby may be operate the control box themselves. From the age of about nine months onwards you mat be able to get your baby to play with basic musical instruments in time with the music.
Tiny love has a range of soft developmental toys which can be viewed at www.tinylove.com. This mobile cost £34.99 and can be brought from mother care and I’m afraid I don’t know of any other stores.
We’re glad that we brought this for her. I think the booklet made it sound a little bit like this mobile will make your child a genius. However, I think that at nearly four months Scarlett has reached the stage when she needs more and more stimulation to help her develop. The only downside is a little bit flimsy and looks as if it may not stand up to too much handling. She’s really started to get into toys just recently and loves her mobile even...

Compare Light-and-Motion to Symphony-in-Motion
Review of Tiny Love Symphony Light & Motion Mobile by
OnlyMyOpinion
Advantages: Volume Control (including mute), Fits cots with chunky end panels.
Disadvantages: Heavier. C cell batteries. Expensive.
...I owned the Symphony in Motion Farmyard Animals mobile, but the motor stopped working so I returned it. They (babycity - who were very helpful about the return and refund) weren\'t expecting new stock for 2 weeks, so, as I use the mobile to babysit while I shower, I nipped out and bought this one instead.
This is very similar to the symphony in motion mobile. The main diffrerences (that aren\'t obvious from the product descriptions) are:
1) This one has a light, so it is quite a bit heavier, and takes C batteries (rather than AA)
2) This one has several volume settings, including mute (Hooray! And I mean Hooray Hooray Hooray!) though it always starts at the same volume so you have to adjust it every time.
3) Different composers - and the Debussy tune comes with \'nature sounds\' which drive me crackers. I actually...

'Swervin' Mervyn' and the gang!
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
lipsalve
Advantages: A nice change of tunes!
Disadvantages: Batteries need replacing fairly often
...In 2002, while we were expecting our first baby, I decided that we just HAD to have a mobile for the cot. I was a little obsessed with getting everything we might possibly need! (Thankfully on the second and third babies, we bought almost nothing as we already had most stuff!)
Off we went to Mothercare World to play with the toys and mobiles. The store had their cots all laid out featuring the different products on sale, so they had a different mobile on each cot. This made it much easier to make a decision for me, and was, of course, a lot of fun! I do love to press all those colourful buttons and make everything in the store go off all at once! (Maybe that's where my son gets it from now.)
After playing with the mobiles, I really wanted the Symphony -in-Motion Mobile, by Tiny Love. It was by far the most colourful one...

I Love Tiny Love! Especially this product!
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
shevibloom
Advantages: buys you time for a shower or meal!
Disadvantages: eats up batteries
...I put this mobile on our baby gift list on the advice of the man in the shop as this being the BEST One, he was sooo right!
Friends bought this for us when our baby was 2 weeks old but we didn't put it up until he was at least 3 weeks and how i wish we had done sooner.
The mobile has so much going on that it would amuse my baby for longer than the 15 minutes of one press of the button.
Giving me time to shower or eat lunch or just sit down and relax.
Even when he is over tired and screaming, the mobile will temporarily calm him giving me enough time to sort a bottle or work out what else could be wrong.
and when he wakes up very early, one presss of the mobile button will keep him occupied for 15 minutes while i make myself human, or he realises that he is still tired after all!
The mobile has 2 volume setting which...

My little boy loves this
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
lollydavies
Advantages: Entertaining for 15 minutes at a time, introduces classical music, remote controlled
Disadvantages: push buttons were faulty on my original mobile, expensive
...I originally bought this mobile when I was about 5 weeks pregnant, I had seen it beforehand and had heard of the benefits of classical music on babies. The mobile plays 15 minutes each of Mozart (for cognitive development), Beethoven ( for stimulating) and Bach (for relaxing) and can contribute to a baby's spatial, logical-mathematical, linguistic and emotional intelligences according to the booklet that comes with the mobile. I actually bought it because I liked the multi-coloured animals, the way it moves and the music.
My little boy has always loved looking at his mobile and I find that I can put him down under it and go for a shower in the morning and he will be happy. I don't find it useful at night time though, because of the bright colours and many movements, it tends to keep him awake. You can however remove the animals...

How to amuse your baby for 15 minutes
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
leopard79
Advantages: Battery powered, no more winding
Disadvantages: No flashing lights for bedtime
...and what brand they're associated with.
Both of the above types have one irritation, the frequency of having to wind them up or pull the cord to keep your baby amused. Fear not, however, the Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile takes batteries, which means you need only press one button for fifteen whole minutes of peace and quiet, save the choice of three classical tunes that it plays.
I have to admit it seems rather psychedelic, and possibly disturbing to adult eyes, I found that I couldn't watch it for more than five minutes without being concerned that the little animals were staring at me, but it seems to do the trick.
Basically there is a plastic box which clamps with a large plastic screw to the side of the cot. This contains the batteries (three AAs), a speaker, two sound options - reasonable and loud, an on/off button and three...

15 minutes of peace!
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
mandybryson
Advantages: entertainment value for your baby
Disadvantages: heavy on batteries
...I am a Tiny Love fan and bought the new symphony in motion mobile with remote control for our baby daughter. It is expensive, can be double the cost of a standard mobile, so I did wonder if you would get my monies worth.
This is without a doubt the best £40 spent on entertaiment for our baby. While she hated her play mat, swing and other toys to begin with, she loved her mobile straight away.
They are brightly colour, and include black and white dimensions Classical music is played for 15mins before you need to reset (gives you time for a quick shower or bite to eat in peace!). There are 3 sets aminals / shapes, and in addition to just rotating round, shapes slide down the arms, colours twist and turn, keeping your baby amused for ages. This mobile is a very good development tool, as are all tiny love products.
Ours came...

Best first toy!!!
Review of Tiny Love Symphony In Motion Mobile by
luigilou
Advantages: Captivating, music changes and plays for a long time
Disadvantages: Battery operated, can't mute or switch off music
...I absolutely adore Tiny Love Symphony-In-Motion Farmyard Animals!!!
It cost me £34.99 from Baby Curls (online).
It consists of a musical base which fastens to the cot side securely, a rod and 3 farmyard animals (horse, cow and sheep) which are suspended from a frame. All of which are really easy to put together.
The musical base has an on/off button, a volume control switch (1-low, 2-high) and three separate buttons which play either Bach, Beethoven or Mozart when pressed.
When you press the on button all musical pieces play consecutively for fifteen minutes. If you press one of the composers names then you get that particlar piece for the whole fifteen minutes.
The animals rotate and plastic shapes slide as the mobile goes round while the music plays. The whole mobile has wonderful bright contrasting colours some of which...
