Driving The car accellerates hard off the line and makes an awesome sound as it hits 8000rpm, 0-60 is around 7.5 seconds. It is also by far the best handling car i have driven, my previous car was a toyota celica which wasnt bad but this is something else. The steering is a nice weight and the car goes exactly where you point it, grip levels with good tyres are awesome. ...I have been using a 2001 Avantagarde ,its done 91000 kms.The car has performed well above expectations at most times.The car is extremely quiet and refined at all speeds,and driving on the highways are an absolute pleasure.The V6 engine is smooth and the car responds well to your right foot in a dignified manner at all times.The tiptronic transmission is also an added advantage for the enthusiastic driver. Overall fit and finish of the car are even better than newer cars.Multiinformation display on post 2000 model cars are very useful,so is the steering mounted audio and telephone controls.The car comes loaded with 6 airbags,ABS,ESP,BAS are all standard.Xenon headlamps with washers are standard only on the Avantagarde trim. Outstanding, if but for one or two things

.... The controls are amongst the most clear and well laid out I've come across. The seats are comfortable, as is the driving position. I'm quite tall at 6ft 3, and driving 6 hours to Devon was made comfortable by the driving position and comfort of the seats. This is of course a diesel, turbocharged. I also had the tiptronic 6 speed version. I have always preferred automatics, but unfortunately I didn't really feel the Zafira made full use of all six gears. The gear box changed up and down through the gears extremely smoothly, however it would not change to 6th gear until you reach a speed of 65mph. Ordinarily this would be fine, assuming the motorways were clear. Unfortunately, they were not as I was driving in peak season. Such articles were written by authors like Bob Tuck, who gave the same expert advice on subjects like gearboxes, be they old crash boxes of modern tiptronic ones. Advantages: Unbelievably Comfortable and reliable

...Drove this car for 20,000 miles. Fantastic ride and possibly the best executive car for its price range on the market. Mercedes build quality and smooth drive for half the price. Audi have surpassed themselves with the new A6, space and comfort coupled with power when required. This car will sit on the motorway all day and appears to purr when pushed. Automatic transmission extra special with "go faster, beat little gits off the lights" tiptronic type gearshift. Metallic paint looks better and avoid black as flies scraped of the bonnet marks badly. Electric everything so be careful that you know where and how everything works before setting off. If looking at the Audi for a company vehicle for work purposes, avoid like the plague. More expensive to run than Cherie Blair's house spending spree's, this car will set you back...

They are doing a 2.4 SE manual, a 2.4 SE multitronic, a 3.2 FSI SE manual, a 3.2 FSI quattro SE manual, a 3.2 FSI quattro SE tiptonic, a 4.2 quattro SE tiptronic, a 2.0 TDI SE manual and a 3.0 TDI quattro SE tiptronic, but look, there ain't a 1.9 SE TDI anymore. Superb drive. Incomparable to the last model

Advantages: Paddle shift, engine sound, looks, sheer attraction

...of a drivers car, with the ABS and traction allowing one to have a little fun before cutting in to keep things safe. A 911 would be 5% quicker round a track, but the huge roar from the XKR is fab and it's more than capable. The paddle shift is awesome. Far better than Porsche and even BMWs steptronic and tiptronic Reliability: Well, Jag have got much better at this in recent years, but this is going to cost more than the M6 or 911 if you're planning to keep for 4 or 5 years and depreciatioln will be steeper too. Overall: The M6 doesn't interest me. It's too dull. The 911 is great, but try dealing with them on a regular basis at the dealerships. They're pretty unpleasant at least in AFN Guildford. I'm going with the XKR. If you're cosnidering the other 2, go out in the XKR and make sure you drive it very hard. I never thought I'd be getting...
