RMS TITANIC RIP
Review of Titanic - An Illustrated History - Don Lynch by  RICHADA

Advantages: Superb Illustrations. Definitive Text. My Favourite - if not the Best Book on this Subject.
Disadvantages: A Slightly Predictable Read!

...Regrettably book reviews are not really my "thing" - neither the writing, nor indeed, the reading of them. However, with this review - so familiar is the story that it contains - it would be difficult for me to mess it up, by either revealing too many details, or indeed by telling you how the story ends. I am sure that all of you reading this, will have heard of the Titanic and seen at least one film, drama or otherwise, or TV documentary about that (in)famous ship. Truth be known, RICHADA is not much of a book worm, although I do have, to me at least, an interesting collection of books. Seven out of ten in my collection have some connection with merchant shipping, more specifically, Ocean Liners, at a rough estimate, two out of every seven are to do with the Titanic and her two Sister ships - the Olympic and Britannic. Indeed... Read review

There's no sinking feeling on this ship
Review of Titanic Resort Hotel, Antalya by  paulpry118

Advantages: See review.
Disadvantages: The review is rather a novel

...and laughed at by the Turkish airport workers. By this time as you can imagine, steam was coming out of my ears and the most incredible foul language was was erupting from my mouth. I'm not exactly the calmest of people. A Thomson rep came bouncing over, all jolly and full of the joys of spring and informed us where our coach was waiting, so I informed her that I wanted to go home and never ever set foot in this country they call Turkey. After a 10 minute walk we found the coach and a lovely long queue of empty suitcase trolleys. Antalya Airport make a note, please employ somebody to just walk around the coach park and collect the trolleys and take them to the luggage collection area! Now I've got that off my chest I'll start my review. Titanic Resort and Hotel. The hotel as you may or may not have guessed is built to resemble... Read review

Titanic OST
Review of Titanic: Original Soundtrack by  berlioz

Advantages: A very classy Horner soundtrack
Disadvantages: Overplayed by today

...Winning a grand total of 11 Oscars, James Cameron's Titanic was THE cinematic event of 1997. The 3½ -hour epic love story between a high society girl Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) and the poor artist Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and set on board one of the greatest seafaring disasters of all time, created immense critical and popular acclaim, both for the incredible visuals (they practically rebuilt the Titanic in scale), the historical accuracy and for a story that made many girls swoon and cry at the theatres (and why not even a few guys). For me the story was a little too run of the mill to create much of an impression, but I have to respect the technical side of the film, with the details of the ship, it's passengers, certain scenes, and the final sinking, making it one of the most accurate depictions of the Titanic disaster... pi-tag.com - Secure luggage, keys, mobile tagging.
Review of Travel - luggage by  Gichin

Advantages: Secure luggage tracking. Automated Service. Get messages worldwide.
Disadvantages: Must subscribe for 1 year at a time.

...Having decided to take a well earned break from the UK, I went looking for some new luggage tags. I found a number of sites on the internet but the best I found was a site called pi-tag.com. pi-tag.com was on BBC Radio 2's website of the day in March 2005 and it was through the Radio 2 website that I found it. It costs just £9.99 to register for one year - and for that you get your choice of 2 tags. You can purchase additional tags online if you wish. Once registered, an activation code is sent to your registered address to verify your contact details and a unique pi-tag number is assigned to you. If someone finds your bag, they don't know your home address or telephone number but that are told on the tag to contact you at pi-tag.com - or by calling the international 0870 number. If you ring the telephone number... Read review

Titanic 2 The Quest For The Truth
Review of Titanic DVD by  willgould

Advantages: Some good moments.
Disadvantages: Americanisation of a tragedy.

...Nobody told me I’d have to sit still for three hours when I went to see Titanic. The only other films that long that I actually enjoyed were Schindlers List and Lord Of The Rings. What made Titanic so special that it thought it could waste everyone’s time like that? Yes it may be considered a classic now, and yes I may be tempting fate by criticising it but I’m going to do it anyway. The fact that it is the highest grossing film of all time is neither here nor there, it only made so much because smitten teenage girls went to see it fifteen times. The makers of Titanic proved two things 1: Hollywood can’t tell a story like it happened and 2: Talent is secondary to looks. It wouldn’t have been such an insult if the true story was told, but out of a million dollar budget, one of the best stories ever and a competent director all we got... Read review

Titan A.E. - World Destruction
Review of Titan A.E. (Wide Screen) (DVD And CD-Rom) by  goku1st

Advantages: Great Special FX (World Blowing Up)
Disadvantages: Slightly Confusing.

...This is the film i put on every night when i go to bed, At the moment, (when Stormbreaker comes on DVD, thats gonna replace it) I dunno why i put it on. It's the year 3028 and te Drej are planning on Destroying the Human race as they are afraid on what we might become. Who knows, for all we know, we might become mutants that can kill anything. That was an example :l Couldn't think of anything better. Got summit better, say it. ANYWAY... Young Cale (a boy roughly aged 4-7 and is FANTASTIC at inventions) is in the forest. His Father turns up and tells him 'It's time to leave' They get to the space ship where they are meant to go on. Until, Cale finds out his Father has to leave him for 'A While' and travel on the Titan. He gives him his ring and leaves him with Teck. Nobody knows what the Titan is or does. Except a few. His Father... Read review

Titanic the best film of the last years
Review of Titanic DVD by  GermanGuillotine

Advantages: great story,soundtrack and film
Disadvantages: -

...Hello, iam a german pupil wants to get a better english with writing here, would be happy about comments. TITANIC: Oh how great, never in the film histroy before a film was so expensive to produce, just for this film they rebuild the original titanic with all things in it like beds, sport room and 1st class deck. Thats a big reason why so much people went into this film just to be able to say "i was in it". So i went to this film in germany, too of course, the suprise was that i didnt know if Leonardo Di Caprion(in the film he is Jack) will die on the titanic or if he can rescue. STORY: The Story is easy to understand, the biggest ship ever build till 1912 had his first real tour over the atlantic ocean from england to america, New York. The Film starts at the shipdock in England were thousands of people wanted to have a look... Read review

Titanic Deluxe Collectors Edition (4 discs)
Review of Titanic (Special Edition) by  kevincopham

Advantages: Adtional deleted scenes, alternative ending, commentaries, documenturies and much more
Disadvantages: Film on 2 discs, deleted scenes and alternative ending seperate from film

...Received this as a Christmas present, which is James Cameron's classic 1997 film with lots of extras thrown in for good measure. The film basically is another telling of the Titanic disaster in 1912 where over 1500 people lost their lives after the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank. It opens with a deep sea exploration of the Titanic in search of the "Heart of the Ocean" gem. After retrieving a safe all that was found was a drawing of Rose (Kate Winslett) wearing the gem. The now old Rose sees a feature about this on the television and joins the team on the exploration of the Titanic. Whilst aboard the research ship she tells her story on the Titanic, where she boards at Southampton with her fiancé Cal (Billy Zane) for their passage to America. At the same time Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) wins his passage to America in a game of cards... Read review

Titan - READ FIRST !!!
Review of Titan A.E. (Wide Screen) by  Lynx101

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...Perhaps Titan A.E. was released on the wrong day. After clinching the fifth position of the weekend boxoffice, it is a very sad case for this voice-studded cartoon released by Fox. After a year of advertising, Titan A.E. did badly and lost to bigger movies like Shaft or Gone in 60 Seconds. Set in the post-apocalyptic future, this animated adventure tells the story of a boy who sets out to save the decimated human race from total destruction. Along with a group of renegade aliens, the hearty hero must travel across the galaxy to locate the Titan, a machine that can create a whole new planet for humans to live on. Featuring the voices Matt Damon, Bill Pullman, Drew Barrymore and Janeane Garofalo this cartoon does not reach out to the adult section of the world. All for a movie which claims to be adult-themed. In spite of having... Read review

Titanic Titanic
Review of Titanic DVD by  Gezzyka

Advantages: Brilliant effect and a sight of what really happened
Disadvantages: Start is slow

...Well I a bit hesitant to see this. I'm not a big fan of Leonardo, infact I can't stand him and I'd never heard of Kate Winslet. But My mum urged me to watch the film. So I did. I am so glad I did. Although the starting was pretty slow, it soon picked up and I marvelled and trembeled at how fearsome that night must of been. leonardo Dicaprio, plays the part of Jack Dawson. A lovable, to perfect to be real, American. He wins his ticket on board the Titanic with his friend Fabrizio ( Danny Nucci). We learn that Jack has travelled pretty much all of his life, but has enjoyed every moment, life is what you make it. Kate Winslet Plays the beautiful Rose DeWit Bukater. Elegant and troubled. A first class british lady, who is being forced to marry Caledon Hockly (Billy Zane) to save her mother pride and dignity. However, when Jack... Read review
