The Super-Duper Corioliss C2 Straighteners
Review of Corioliss Titanium C2 Straighteners by
monsterbeans
Advantages: Great perfomance, variable heat, styles as well as straightens, funky looks
Disadvantages: Price might put some off, lack of high-street availability, cleaning the plates
...print Corioliss C2 Titanium straighteners from Sally's Beauty Supply. She said the straighteners were brilliant, variable temp, curls and waves too, antibacterial action, smooth design and function. I had never heard of Corioliss before (it seems they retail more for pros) but these sounded like a good buy, and I had a personal recommendation from someone who had great hair.
They retail for approx £120, but if you have a trade card with Sally's (she did) you can get a hefty amount off plus an extended warranty.
Shiny, shiny
I got my new Corioliss C2's home (red leopard print) and immediately plugged them in. In the box there are the actual straighteners, a little book with howtos, info and 'green Corioliss' initiatives. The red leopard print is a funky and bright, but there are other finishes available.
The actual...

The new Gaggia Titanium that broke!
Review of Gaggia Titanium by
sarobin
Advantages: Large water tank, Speedy, Compact, Easy to customise and use
Disadvantages: Body finish could be better for the price; Brew unit (plastic) is not very sturdy
...After owning a Krups Crematic combi machine for 5 years, I wanted to own something a step up, although there was nothing really wrong with the Krups and it served me well on a daily basis.
Although the new Gaggia Titanium has been out for at least a few months there don't seem to be any reviews of it yet, so I hope this is of help. I was in 2 minds whether to plump for this model or the slightly cheaper Gaggia Synchrony Digital Compact. The main reason the Titanium won was because the water tank was double the size of the Compact, the look was better, and the features were improved. One of the other differences between these two models is the Titanium has an "active" cup-warmer whereas the Compact has a "passive" cup-warmer. Active means it has it's own heater, not just the heat from the machine.
So - on with the review. Set...

Remington R320 R3 Titanium Series
Review of Remington R 320 R3 Titanium by
DuwDuw
Advantages: A close shave and good quality shaver with Titanium blades
Disadvantages: No charge indicator
...Titanium Coated Blades: 300% harder than Steel Blades* for a long lasting, excellent cutting performance
Independent floating heads adjust to the contours of your face
20 cutters to cut short stubble, detail Styling Trimmer ideal for sideburns, necklines and moustaches
Washable for easy cleaning
Rechargeable for cordless use, 16 hours charging time
Up to 45 minutes shaving time, electronic On/Off button
Universal Voltage, environmentally safe batteries (NiMh)
Travel pouch & cleaning brush, 2 year manufacturer guarantee
(*vs. Remington Steel Blades)
The Bad point. There is no indication as to whether it is fully charged or how much charge is left in the unit but I have seen the higher grade model and it does so that may be a reason why this is the cheaper option. Does that mean that my mother didn't think I was worth the extra...

My Huge Titanium Cooler
Review of LG GRB218JUDA 3 Door, Titanium by
TheChocolateLady
Advantages: Efficient, bottom freezer, lots of space, highly adjustable
Disadvantages: Door shelves a bit too deep and not quite high enough, annoying beep when doors left open too long
...regulate the size of the cubes from small to large - in fact, there are five sizes of cubes you can make. Pretty nice, don't you think?
General Design:
First of all, this really looks very sexy standing in my new kitchen. With its titanium front finish, it doesn't ever look dirty with fingerprints, and that's a huge plus in my house. Moreover, everyone who has come to visit me since it arrived has commented on its beauty. Also, having a freezer on the bottom is a true blessing. I probably go into the freezer only once or twice a day, but I go into the fridge many, many times a day. Because of this, it only makes sense that the part of the fridge I use the most (and that's actually the veggie drawers) is the easiest part to reach. Not having to bend down time after time is really making my life much easier.
Another nice thing...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 15.4" TFT
Review of Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
sammyboi08
Advantages: ''
Disadvantages: ''
..." (OS10.5) disk since the display model I had bought had the old "Tiger" 10.4.10. Since I work with multimedia and am very impressed with the software delivered with iLife (disk included with the Apple products) I was disappointed to see that most of the items which are of use, do not work using Leopard. So I returned to the older Tiger and this is the system that I am presently testing. With only 1GB of memory I believed that the applications may be a little slow but actually everything seems to be operating as usual. My old Titanium runs at 400MHz and so with the present speed of 2.16GHz I expected an increase in speed but should have known that there would be no change. Software takes just as long to start up, close down and granted I can run several enormous programs parallel, nothing actually is any faster. Points of comment 1...

Sexy and Very Tough
Review of SanDisk Cruzer Titanium - USB flash drive - 2 GB by
ghost101
Advantages: Great design, Very Robust
Disadvantages: Lower performance than competitors
...When I recieved this for the first time, you realise how impossibly small it is with the USB connection part inside the shell. It is smaller than most of the USB flash drives on the market. The brushed titanium gives it a gorgeous look and makes it look very expensive. However, not only does it cosmetically look good, the titanium means that it is incredibly robust. The packaging claims that the USB drive can withstand 2,000lbs of force. Whether this is true i dont know, but i wasnt going to drive over something worth a fair bit with my car just to test its solidity. It is a plug and play item, so is extremely easy to use.
If you've had the other non-titanium flash drives, you will notice that this is heavier than them, but thats to be expected since they are made out of plastic. Perhaps you may feel that this isnt ideal to go...

GeForce 2 Pro - The choice of the professional
Review of Creative 3D Blaster GeForce2 Pro by
phucco
Advantages: Super stable, cheap, fast, TV-Out
Disadvantages: VGA [no DVI] slow by todays standards
...Ciao! has a world of technical details about this card, but you don't want to hear about that, do you? This is a 3D graphics card for a computer, it is the connection between what you see on your screen and what the computer is outputting.
Most cards do the 2D drawing of windows, and the like, without much bother. But when it comes to 3D rendering the gloves really come off.
I don't wish to bore you with the technicalities, but this card has 4 RAM (memory) chips on it, and 1 GPU (graphics processor). You can find the speeds of them in the ciao! details.
It slips in easily into the AGP (advanced graphics port) slot on your motherboard, and it's the standard size so you won't have any trouble getting it in, unlike those AGP Pro cards. This is not an AGP Pro card, despite the name.
Ignoring the GeForce2 MX, the GeForce 2 family...

TI S2 Not That Bad
Review of Head TI S2 by
markcrook
Advantages: Light, cheap for titanium
Disadvantages: Small racket head
...I purchased a TiS2 about a year and a half ago as I needed a light racket after injuring a hand in a footballing accident and the TiS2 was one of the lightest rackets around together with the TiS6. Most people in the club were going for the TiS6 which has a larger head and thicker frame.
I find the racket easy to use and can handle all types of shots both with power from the base line and delicate touches around the net. I have only just replaced the strings after 1 and a half years.
As newer rackets are now coming on the market the TiS2 is now an excellent choice as they can be picked up for near the £100 which is pretty good for a titanium racket....

Understated watch with significant abilities
Review of Seiko Solar Titanium Watch by
ironie
Advantages: needs no batteries, automatically updates the time, good looking
Disadvantages: doesnt adjust for BST
...for quite a while, up to 6 months according to manufactures information. Unless you intend to spend 6 months in the dark this is difficult to test as whenever you are in the light the watch is constantly topping its charge up.
º It also has 2 power saving modes. The first automatically operates after 72 hours of darkness. The watch's hands will stop moving, but the watch will continue to receive time calibration signals. Eventually the watch will enter a secondary in which it will no longer attempt to calibrate. In both cases as long as you expose the watch to light before the battery is completely depleted, the hands will automatically align themselves to the correct time. In this mode the battery life is supposed to last around 18 months.
º Titanium is an excellent choice for a watch. I, like many people have a mild allergy to nickel...
