Normally after owning a watch for a few months, it's scuffed and scratched, but so far this one has lasted, mostly through the use of titanium for the case and the sapphire glass face (reportedly the most scratch resistant watch glass used on the finest timepieces). The case and leather strap are a very dark blue, which is black in all but the brightest of lights, and the face is offset slightly to the right of the strap, which takes a little getting used to at first, but ultimately adds to it's stylish look. The digital display shows the day of the month, seconds, reception and charge indicators. The watch features two time zone adjustment buttons, a transmitter call button. ...After owning a Krups Crematic combi machine for 5 years, I wanted to own something a step up, although there was nothing really wrong with the Krups and it served me well on a daily basis. Although the new Gaggia Titanium has been out for at least a few months there don't seem to be any reviews of it yet, so I hope this is of help. I was in 2 minds whether to plump for this model or the slightly cheaper Gaggia Synchrony Digital Compact. The main reason the Titanium won was because the water tank was double the size of the Compact, the look was better, and the features were improved. One of the other differences between these two models is the Titanium has an "active" cup-warmer whereas the Compact has a "passive" cup-warmer. ...regulate the size of the cubes from small to large - in fact, there are five sizes of cubes you can make. Pretty nice, don't you think? General Design: First of all, this really looks very sexy standing in my new kitchen. With its titanium front finish, it doesn't ever look dirty with fingerprints, and that's a huge plus in my house. Moreover, everyone who has come to visit me since it arrived has commented on its beauty. Also, having a freezer on the bottom is a true blessing. I probably go into the freezer only once or twice a day, but I go into the fridge many, many times a day. Because of this, it only makes sense that the part of the fridge I use the most (and that's actually the veggie drawers) is the easiest part to reach. ...I have wanted a Seiko watch for a long time. The brand and designs just ooze quality and stature. It's no wonder I won't wear anything else these days. It's important for my job that every second is accounted for, and with the Seiko kinetic titanium watch I have is perfect, drifting only a second over a period of months. Fantastic, from a watch with no battery! The 'kinetic' mechanism I thought would be a gimmick, a back-up with no actual use. This is completely false. The watch does 'recharge' itself with the use of natural movement. The simple swing of your arms as you walk will be enough to keep it going for days. And for someone like myself who plays table football at work whenever we get a chance, it'll be recharged for days after only two minutes of vigorous wrist action!
